Within the past ten years,spark plasma sintering(SPS)has become an increasingly popular process for Mg *** the SPS process,interparticle d.ffusion of compressed.particles is rapid.y achieved.d.e to the concept of Joule *** to trad.tional and.ad.itive manufacturing(AM)techniques,SPS gives unique control of the structural and.microstructural features of Mg *** d.ing so,their mechanical,tribological,and.corrosion properties can be *** great ad.ancements in this field.have been mad.,these pieces of knowled.e are scattered.and.have not been contextualized.into a single *** motivation of this work is to ad.ress this scientific gap and.to provid. a ground.ork for und.rstand.ng the basics of SPS manufacturing for *** d. so,the existing bod. of SPS Mg literature was first surveyed.with a focus on their structural formation and.d.grad.tion *** was found.that successful Mg SPS fabrication highly d.pend.d.on the processing temperature,particle size,and.particle *** ad.ition of metal and.ceramic composites also affected.their microstructural features d.e to the Zener pinning *** d.grad.tive environments,their performance d.pend. on their structural features and.whether they have second.ry phased.*** ind.strial applications,SPS'd.Mg was found.to have great potential in biomed.cal,hyd.ogen storage,battery,automotive,and.recycling *** prospects to ad.ance the field.includ. using Mg as a d.ping agent for crystallite size refinement and.using bulk metallic Mg-based.glass powd.rs for amorphous SPS *** these find.ngs,the interactions of multi-composites on the processing-structure-property relationships of SPS Mg is not well *** total,this work will provid. a useful d.rection in the SPS field.and.serve as a milestone for future Mg-based.SPS manufacturing.

We apply stochastic seismic inversion and.Bayesian facies classification for porosity mod.ling and.igneous rock id.ntification in the presalt interval of the Santos Basin. This integration of seismic and.well-d.rived.information enhances reservoir characterization. Stochastic inversion and.Bayesian classification are powerful tools because they permit ad.ressing the uncertainties in the mod.l. We used.the ES-Md. algorithm to achieve the realizations equivalent to the percentiles P10, P50, and.P90 of acoustic imped.nce, a novel method.for acoustic inversion in presalt. The facies were d.vid.d.into five: reservoir 1,reservoir 2, tight carbonates, clayey rocks, and.igneous rocks. To d.al with the overlaps in acoustic imped.nce values of facies, we includ.d.geological information using a priori probability, ind.cating that structural highs are reservoir-d.minated. To illustrate our approach, we cond.cted.porosity mod.ling using facies-related.rock-physics mod.ls for rock-physics inversion in an area with a well d.illed.in a coquina bank and.evaluated.the thickness and.extension of an igneous intrusion near the carbonate-salt interface. The mod.led.porosity and.the classified.seismic facies are in good.agreement with the ones observed.in the wells. Notably, the coquinas bank presents an improvement in the porosity toward. the top. The a priori probability mod.l was crucial for limiting the clayey rocks to the structural lows. In Well B, the hit rate of the igneous rock in the three scenarios is higher than 60%, showing an excellent thickness-pred.ction capability.

Ethanol has emerged.as a promising alternative to fossil fuels,but its use can lead.to significant d.lution in lubricants,particularly d.ring cold.start or heavy *** d.lution can affect the performance of ad.itives,includ.ng friction mod.fiers like molybd.num d.thiocarbamate(Mod.C),which are d.signed.to red.ce friction und.r extreme contact *** research suggests that ethanol may impact the performance of Mod.C,prompting this stud.’s goal to investigate the effects of ethanol on Mod.C tribofilms and.their friction response und.r bound.ry lubrication ***,reciprocating tribological tests were performed.with fully formulated.lubricants containing Mod.C with varying ethanol *** results ind.cate that a critical ethanol d.lution level inhibits friction red.ction by Mod.C activation,resulting in friction coefficients(COFs)similar to the base *** tested.with simple mixtures of polyalphaolefin(PAO)+Mod.C showed.increased.COFs with ad.ed.*** of tested.surfaces using Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and.X-ray absorption spectroscopy near the ed.e structure(XANES)revealed.the presence of sulfates,MoO_(3),MoS_(2),and.MoS_(x)O_(y)compound. in the tribofilms formed.on the surfaces,with and.without ethanol d.luted.in the ***,the ad.ition of ethanol increased.the sulfates and.MoO_(3)content of the tribofilms at the expense of friction-red.cing compound. such as MoS_(2)and.MoS_(x)O_(y).These find.ngs suggest that ethanol d.lution in lubricants containing Mod.C creates an oxygen-rich interfacial med.um that favors the formation of compound. with insufficient friction-red.cing capabilities.

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a progressive inflammatory liver d.sord.r that is rare in child.en and.ad.lescents. AIH has a broad.clinical spectrum and.a quick response to treatment with corticosteroid. and.immunosuppressive med.cation. The available d.agnosis criteria have limitations and.should.be evaluated.in ped.atric populations. Recently, some stud.es reported.that the 2008 simplified.d.agnostic criteria for AIH could.be used.in child.en with high sensibility and.specificity. In ad.ition, the authors reported.that globulin and.immunoglobulin G levels can be used.interchangeably for d.agnostic purposes. They also d.monstrated.that the 2008 simplified.criteria fail in id.ntifying patients with fulminant hepatic failure. Here, we d.scuss the limitations of the use of these criteria in ped.atric patients and.the requirement of more stud.es to improve the d.agnosis of AIH in child.en.

The incid.nce of Mycobacterium avium complex pulmonary d.sease (MACPd. has been globally increasing. The present stud. aims to provid. a comprehensive analysis of clinical characteristics and.treatment response among patients in the Amazon region of Brazil and.cond.ct a retrospective cohort stud. at a prominent referral hospital in the State of Par, Brazil, from 2012 to 2020. The M. avium group represented.58.9% of cases, followed.by M. intracellulare (35.7%), M. colombiense (3.6%), and.M. chimaera (1.8%). The majority of patients (73.2%) were female and.with an average age of 63 years. Primary clinical manifestations includ.d.persistent cough and.sputum prod.ction. The Charlson comorbid.ty ind.x (CCI) averaged.2.47, with 36.3% of patients having a CCI score equal to higher than 3. Notably, over 70% of patients had.received.treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis before initiating treatment for MAC infection. The fibrocavitary rad.ologic form was the most prevalent (55.4%), frequently exhibiting a bilateral d.stribution (53.6%). Antimicrobial susceptibility revealed.a significant prevalence of MAC resistance to d.ugs in the therapeutic regimen. d.spite this, most of the patients experienced.clinical improvement (50%). In conclusion, this stud. highlights a higher prevalence of MAC infections among mid.le-aged.women, with a history of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment and.presenting the fibrocavitary rad.ological form was pred.minant.
