This article presents the results of hydrochemical and hydrobiological studies of shallow saline lakes of the Borzya group(Zabaikalsky Krai, Russia) at the initial filling phase. The lake-margin ecosystems of the studied lakes are characterized by varying degrees of salinity from polyhaline to brine water. Cyclical variations of meteorological conditions and high salinity determined that the compositions of the aquatic organisms are specific, mostly between stenohaline and euryhaline species, the quantities are low, and the community structures are simple.

Surgery for rectal cancer in complex and entails many *** the laparoscopic approach in general and specific to colon cancer has been long proven to have short term benefits and to be oncologically safe,it is still a debatable topic for rectal *** attempt to benefit rectal cancer patients with the known advantages of the laparoscopic approach while not compromising their oncologic outcome has led to the conduction of many studies during the past *** we describe our technique for laparoscopic proctectomy and assess the current literature dealing with short term outcomes,immediate oncologic measures(such as lymph node yield and specimen quality) and long term oncologic outcomes of laparoscopic rectal cancer *** also briefly evaluate the evolving issues of robotic assisted rectal cancer surgery and the current innovations and trends in the minimally invasive approach to rectal cancer surgery.

Gastroenterology is a particularly data-rich field,generating vast repositories of data that are a fruitful ground for artificial intelligence(AI)and machine learning(ML)*** this opinion review,we initially elaborate on the current status of the application of AI/ML-based software in ***,AI/ML-based models have been developed in the following applications:Models integrated into the clinical setting following real-time patient data flagging patients at high risk for developing a gastrointestinal disease,models employing non-invasive parameters that provide accurate diagnoses aiming to either replace,minimize,or refine the indications of endoscopy,models utilizing genomic data to diagnose various gastrointestinal diseases,computer-aided diagnosis systems facilitating the interpretation of endoscopy images,models to facilitate treatment allocation and predict the response to treatment,and finally,models in prognosis predicting complications,recurrence following treatment,and overall ***,we elaborate on several challenges and how they may negatively impact the widespread application of AI in healthcare and ***,we elaborate on concerns regarding accuracy,cost-effectiveness,cybersecurity,interpretability,oversight,and *** AI is unlikely to replace physicians,it will transform the skillset demanded by future physicians to ***,physicians are expected to engage with AI to avoid becoming obsolete.

A selective, sensitive and precise assay based on solid phase extraction and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS) was developed for the simultaneous determination of amiloride(AMI) and hydrochlorothiazide(HCTZ) in human plasma. Sample clean-up with 250 μL of plasma was done on Phenomenex Strata^(?)-X extraction cartridges using their labeled internal standards(AMI-15 N3 and HCTZ-13 C,d2). Chromatography was performed on Hypersil Gold C18(50 mm×3.0 mm, 5 μm) column using acetonitrile with 4.0 m M ammonium formate(p H 4.0, adjusted with 0.1% formic acid)(80:20, v/v) as the mobile phase. detection was carried out on a triple quadrupole API 5500 mass spectrometer utilizing an electrospray ionization interface and operating in the positive ionization mode for AMI and negative ionization mode for HCTZ. Multiple reaction monitoring was used following the transitions at m/z 230.6/116.0, m/z233.6/116.0, m/z 296.0/204.9 and m/z 299.0/205.9 for AMI, AMI-15 N3, HCTZ and HCTZ-13 C,d2,respectively. Calibration curves were linear(r2≥0.9997) over the concentration range of 0.050–50.0 and0.50–500 ng/m L for AMI and HCTZ, respectively, with acceptable accuracy and precision. The signal-to-noise ratio at the limit of quantitation was ≥14 for both the analytes. The mean recovery of AMI and HCTZ from plasma was 89.0% and 98.7%, respectively. The IS-normalized matrix factors determined for matrix effect ranged from 0.971 to 1.024 for both the analytes. The validated LC–MS/MS method was successfully applied to a bioequivalence study using 5 mg AMI and 50 mg HCTZ fixed dose tablet formulation in 18 healthy Indian volunteers with good reproducibility.

Anodic processes on Cu-10 Al electrode in molten KF-AlF3-Al2O3(saturated) and suspensions were characterized using chronopotentiometric and cyclic voltammetric techniques. Effects of cryolite ratio(CR= x(KF)/x(AlF3)), temperature and particle volume fraction(φ) on the electrochemical behaviour of the anode were demonstrated. Initially, the anode was polarised in the galvanostatic mode in melt and suspensions(φ=0.12, 0.15) at 750 ℃ with 0.4 A/cm^2 current density. The anode potential in melt varied between 2.5 and 3.2 v and in suspensions(φ= 0.12) between 3.3 and 3.4 v. XRd analysis was conducted to study the oxide phases on the anode surface. Anode limiting current densities and mass transfer coefficients drastically decreased with the increase of φ in the suspension. The results suggest that the Cu-10 Al electrode works better in suspensions with CR of 1.4 and particle volume fraction of 0.09 at 800 ℃.

The effects of YO(1.5)doping in yttria-zirconia based thermal barrier coatings(TBCs)against CMAS interaction/infiltration are *** TBCs with an YO(1.5)content ranging from 43–67 mol.%(balance Zr O2)were produced by electron beam physical vapor deposition(EB-Pvd)*** results reveal a trend of higher apatite formation probability with the higher free YO(1.5)available in the yttriazirconia ***,the infiltration resistance and amount of consumed coating appears to be strongly dependent on the YO(1.5)content in the *** thinnest reaction layer and lowest infiltration was found for the highest produced 67 YO(1.5)*** XRd experiments with volcanic ash/YO(1.5)powder mixtures with higher yttria contents than in the coatings(80 YO(1.5)and pure YO(1.5))also showed higher apatite formation with respect to increasing yttria *** threshold composition to promote apatite-based reaction products was found to be around 50 YO(1.5)in zirconia which was proved in the coatings and XRd powder *** YO(1.5)-ZrO2-Fe O-TiO2 bearing zirconolite-type phase was formed as a reaction product for all the coating compositions which implicates that TiO2 in the melt acts as a trigger for zirconolite *** phase could be detrimental for CMAS/volcanic ash infiltration resistance since it can be formed alongside with apatite which controls or limits the amount of Y^(3+)available for glass *** Fe rich garnet phase containing all the possible elements exhibited a slower nucleation compared to apatite and its growth was enhanced with slow cooling *** implications of phase stability and heat treatment effects on the reaction products are discussed for tests performed at 1250°C.
