We use particle-in-cell,fully electromagnetic,plasma kinetic simulation to study the effect of external magnetic field on electron scale Kelvin–Helmholtz instability(ESKHI).The results are applicable to collisionless plasmas when,e.g.,solar wind interacts with planetary magnetospheres or a magnetic field is generated in AGN *** find that as in the case of magnetohydrodynamic(MHd)KHI,in the kinetic regime,the presence of an external magnetic field reduces the growth rate of the *** the MHd case,there is a known threshold magnetic field for KHI stabilization,while for ESKHI this is to be analytically *** a kinetic analytical expression,we use several numerical simulation runs to establish an empirical dependence of ESKHI growth rate,Γ(B_(0))ω_(pe),on the strength of the applied external magnetic *** find the best fit is hyperbolic,Γ(B_(0))ω_(pe)=Γ_(0)ω_(pe)/(A+BB_(0)),where Γ_(0) is the ESKHI growth rate without an external magnetic field and B_(0)=B_(0)/B_(MHd)is the ratio of external and two-fluid MHd stability threshold magnetic field,derived *** analytical theory to back up this growth rate dependence on the external magnetic field is *** results suggest that in astrophysical settings where a strong magnetic field pre-exists,the generation of an additional magnetic field by the ESKHI is suppressed,which implies that nature provides a“safety valve”—natural protection not to“over-generate”magnetic field by the ESKHI ***,we find that our two-fluid MHd threshold magnetic field is the same(up to a factor √γ_(0))as the dC saturation magnetic field,previously predicted by fully kinetic theory.

Electric vehicles(Evs)have gained prominence in the present energy transition *** adoption of Evs necessitates an accurate State of Charge estimation(SoC)*** predictive SoC estimations with smart charging strategies not only optimizes charging efficiency and grid reliability but also extends battery lifespan while continuously enhancing the accuracy of SoC predictions,marking a crucial milestone in sustainable electric vehicle *** this research study,machine learning methods,particularly Artificial Neural Networks(ANN),are employed for SoC estimation of LiFePO4 batteries,resulting in efficient and accurate estimation *** investigation first focuses on developing a custom-designed battery pack with 12v,4 Ah capacity with a facility for real-time data collection through a dedicated hardware *** voltage,current and open-circuit voltage of the battery are monitored with computerized battery *** battery temperature is sensed with a dHT22 temperature sensor interfaced with Raspberry *** components are derived for the collected battery data set and analyzed for feature *** principal components were generated as input parameters for the developed *** Stopping for the ANN was also implemented to achieve faster convergence of the *** considering eleven combinations for ten different optimizers loss function is *** analysis of hyperparameter tuning and optimizer selection revealed that the Adafactor optimizer with specific settings produced the best results with an RMSE value of 0.4083 and an R2 Score of *** proposed algorithm was also implemented for two different types of datasets,a UddS drive cycle and a standard cell-level *** results obtained were in line with the results obtained with the ANN model developed based on the data collected from the developed experimental setup.

The paleo-temperature(Th)data from fluid inclusions are utilized for thermal history modelling using PetroMod ***,bottom hole temperature(BHT)and vitrinite reflectance(Ro)measurements are widely used in petroleum system modelling(PSM)in the oil industry for calibration *** representing the minimum temperature of fluid entrapment estimated from fluid-inclusion study provides extra support to build the thermal models for *** inclusion parameters along with Rock-Eval pyrolysis analysis have been used to predict the maturity of oil in terms of API gravity as well as the maturity of source rocks *** exploratory wells Rv-1(Mumbai Offshore Basin)and KK4C-A-1(Kerala-Konkan Offshore Basin),India were examined and the T_(h)from most of the fluid inclusions of wells Rv-1 and KK4C-A-1 fell in the oil window range of 60-140℃suggesting thermal conditions favourable for oil generation in both of the wells.T_(h)of coeval aqueous inclusions along with the Hydrocarbon Fluid inclusions(HCFIs)was used to calibrate *** parameters show that source rocks of well Rv-1 are mature and that of well KK4C-A-1 are *** sets of PSM are created in terms of generation and expulsion for the dry wells Rv-1 and KK4C-A-1 and calibrated each well using fluid inclusion Th and *** the fluid inclusion analysis method,it is evident that hydrocarbon generation happened in both wells and the paleo-temperature indicates that the formations of both wells were subjected to temperatures in the oil window range,even though it was designated as dry wells in the present *** present study highlights the application of fluid inclusion paleo-temperature(Th)during calibration instead of commonly used *** could obtain desirable and accurate data output from PSM using T_(h) calibration.

In the realm of low-level vision tasks,such as image deraining and dehazing,restoring images distorted by adverse weather conditions remains a significant *** emergence of abundant computational resources has driven the dominance of deep Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),supplanting traditional methods reliant on prior ***,the evolution of CNN architectures has tended towards increasing complexity,utilizing intricate structures to enhance performance,often at the expense of computational *** response,we propose the Selective Kernel dense Residual M-shaped Network(SKdRMNet),a flexible solution adept at balancing computational efficiency with network accuracy.A key innovation is the incorporation of an M-shaped hierarchical structure,derived from the U-Net framework as M-Network(M-Net),within which the Selective Kernel dense Residual Module(SdRM)is introduced to reinforce multi-scale semantic feature *** methodology employs two sampling techniques-bilinear and pixel unshuffled and utilizes a multi-scale feature fusion approach to distil more robust spatial feature map *** the reconstruction phase,feature maps of varying resolutions are seamlessly integrated,and the extracted features are effectively merged using the Selective Kernel Fusion Module(SKFM).Empirical results demonstrate the comprehensive superiority of SKdRMNet across both synthetic and real rain and haze datasets.
