Attenuated retinoic acid signaling is among the early responses in mouse uterus approaching embryo attachment

the uterus is transiently receptive for embryo *** remains to be understood why the uterus does not reject a semi-allogeneic embryo(to the biological mother)or an allogeneic embryo(to a surrogate)for *** gain insights,we examined uterine early response genes approaching embryo attachment on day 3 post coitum(d3)at 22 hours when blue dye reaction,an indication of embryo attachment,had not manifested in mice.C57BL/6 pseudo-pregnant(control)and pregnant mouse uteri were collected on d3 at 22 hours for microarray *** self-assembling-manifold(SAM)algorithm identified 21,858 unique *** component analysis indicated a clear separation between the pseudo-pregnant and pregnant *** were 106 upregulated and five downregulated protein-coding genes in the pregnant uterus with fold change(fc)>1.5 andq valuetology(GO)analysis of the 106 upregulated genes revealed 38 significant GO biological process(GOBP)terms(Pd 32(84%)of them were associated with immune responses,with a dominant natural killer(NK)cell activation *** the top eight upregulated protein-coding genes,Cyp26a1 inactivates retinoic acid(RA)whileLrat promotes vitamin A storage,both of which are expected to attenuate RA bioavailability;Atp6v0d2 andGjb2 play roles in ion transport and.t.ansmembrane transport;Gzmb,Gzmc,andIl2rb are involved in immune responses;andtdo2 is important for kynurenine *** of these genes or their related pathways have functions in immune *** signaling has been implicated in immune tolerance and immune homeostasis,and uterine NK cells have been implicated in immunotolerance at the maternal-fetal interface in the *** mechanisms of immune responses approaching embryo attachment remain to be *** coordinated effects of the early response genes may hold the keys to the question of why the uterus does not reject an implanting embryo.

during the last decade,FSP of magnesium alloys has become more popular due to the potential microstructure refinement of their eutectic phases,and interest has increased around the AZ1 that is one of the most commercially used magnesium *** this work,high pressure die cast AZ91 plates were tensile tested at high temperatures after friction stir processing(FSP),with the stirred region in the middle of the gauge *** deformed at 350℃ revealed an increment of ductility that was doubled as compared to those deformed at 300℃ and a strengthening of the nugget was measured by Vickers microhardness(HV).the correlation of HV average values to local grain size confirmed the validity of the Hall–Petch type equation where stress is replaced by hardness.X-rays diffraction and electrical conductivity highlighted the potential increment of solute atoms in solid solution during *** Electron Microscopy(SEM)and.t.ansmission Electron Microscopy(tEM)investigations performed on as-FSPed and hot deformed samples determined MgAlZn and AlMn particles type evolution through statistical analysis that supported mechanical properties and the strengthening mechanisms.

the paper describes the sol–gel process applied to synthesize a mercury-free Ba2Ca2Cu3O x precursor and the physicochemical properties of an Hg0.8Pb0.2Ba2Ca2Cu3O8+δ high-temperature superconductor (HtS) polycrystalline sample. the Ba2Ca2Cu3O x precursor with desired chemical and phase compositions was obtained using EdtA gel process followed by decomposition and calcination under optimized conditions. An Hg0.8Pb0.2Ba2Ca2Cu3O8+δ superconductor with a fine-grained microstructure, composed predominantly of the (Hg,Pb)-1223 phase in the form of plate-like crystallites or oval grains and with advantageous magnetic properties (t c(on) = 129.2 K, Δt c = 6.5 K), was synthesized using the high-pressure crystallization method. At 20 K and 1 t, the critical current density of the studied sample was approximately 26 A/mm2, while at 4 K and 1 t it increased to 155 A/mm2. the high volume fraction of the (Hg,Pb)-1223 phase (89.1%) in the high-t c sample was associated with the low value of the average copper valence (2.11) in the calcinated Ba2Ca2Cu3O x precursor. Small amounts of non-superconducting secondary phases—BaCuO2, CaO, CaHgO2, CuO, Ca2CuO, BaPbO3—were also identified within the microstructure of Hg0.8Pb0.2Ba2Ca2Cu3O8+δ .

Effect of critical beam radius on self-focusing of cosh-Gaussian laser beams in collisionless magnetized plasma under ponderomotive nonlinearity forms the main core of present work. to investigate propagation dynamics of cosh-Gaussian laser beams in collisionless magnetized plasma, well established parabolic equation approach under WKB and paraxial approximations is employed. Our study is crucially pivoted on the concept of critical curve and subsequent determination of numerical interval for decentered parameter to sustain the competition between diffraction and self-focusing during the propagation of laser beam. Additionally, in the present study an interesting feature in the self-focusing region of the critical curve has been attempted for different values of decentered parameter.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have made great advances in terms of power conversion efficiency(PCE),yet their subpar stability continues to hinder their *** interface between the perovskite layer and the charge-carrier transporting layers plays a crucial role in undermining the stability of *** this work,we propose a strategy to stabilize high-performance PSCs with PCE over 23%by introducing a cesium-doped graphene oxide(GO-Cs)as an interlayer between the perovskite and hole-transporting *** GO-Cs treated PSCs exhibit excellent operational stability with a projected t80(the time where the device PCE reduces to 80%of its initial value)of 2143 h of operation at the maximum powering point under one sun illumination.

In this work,semirigid linkers of the alkyl-thiophene-alkyl structure are developed to construct double-cable *** alkyl units,propyl(C3H6),hexyl(C6H12),and dodecyl(C12H24),are applied as semirigid linkers,yielding three double-cable polymers:PBC6-t,PBC12-t,and PBC24-t,***12-t which uses C6H12-thiophene-C6H12 linkers is found to exhibit the best device efficiency of 5.56%,while PBC6-t and PBC24-t with shorter or longer linkers yield device efficiencies of only 2.65%and 1.09%in single-component organic solar cells(SCOSCs).Further studies reveal that PBC12-t exhibits higher crystallinity and improved charge transport,resulting in better *** work provides an approach to construct double-cable conjugated polymers with long alkyl linkers,and it shows the importance of the linker length for the photovoltaic performance of SCOSCs.

Efficiency of Legumes in Increasing Yam Yield under Sandy Ferrasol in the Forest Zone of Southwestern Côte d’Ivoire

the cropping system is based on traditional farming in rural areas. In this way, yields of some food crops like yam are very low considering their high need for nutrients. the nutrient-rich land is under high land pressure as it is occupied by cash crops such as oil palm and rubber at the expense of food crops and soil fertility is declining. the study was conducted in Grand-Lahou to assess the effect of organic matter provided by legumes in increasing yam yield. the randomized complete block design included four (4) treatments: Arachis hypogaea + yam association (t1), Acacia mangium + yam association (t2), Arachis + Acacia mangium + yam association (t3) and pure yam crop (t0). the parameters measured were: the soil nutrients content, the rate of mineralization of organic matter through the C/N ratio as well as the yield of yam through different techniques that allowed the objective of the study to be achieved. It was noted a slight improvement of nitrogen and organic carbon in all treatments with a higher value recorded in the t2 treatment. the C/N ratio decreased to 12 in all treatments compared to the control, which reflects a normal decomposition of the organic matter. treatment t1 increased yam yield (8.4 t/ha) in contrast to treatments t2 (4.1 t/ha) and t3 (2.8 t/ha). Legume-based treatments t2 and t3 were associated with a significant decrease in yam yield, resulting in losses of −46.34% to −25.09%, while treatment t1 resulted in a gain of 28.57%. As a result, the treatments involving legumes contributed to normalizing the organic matter content of the soil. the simultaneous association of these two legumes led to a decrease in yam production, contrary to the treatment associating only groundnut.
