fuzzy entropy measures are valuable tools in decision-making when dealing with uncertain or imprecise *** exist many entropy measures for Pythagorean fuzzy Sets(PfS)in the literature that fail to deal with the problem of providing reasonable or consistent results to the *** deal with the shortcomings of the existing measures,this paper proposes a robust fuzzy entropy measure for PfS to facilitate decision-making under *** usefulness of the measure is illustrated through an illustration of decision-making in a supplier selection problem and compared with existing fuzzy entropy *** Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)approach is also explored to solve the decision-making *** results demonstrate that the proposed measure can effectively capture the degree of uncertainty in the decision-making process,leading to more accurate decision outcomes by providing a reliable and robust ranking of alternatives.

Objective To compare the efficacy of using“distal acupoints only”vs.“local acupoints mainly combined with distal acupoints”in cases of acute low back pain(ALBP).Methods A total of 102 eligible patients aged 18–65 years with ALBP lasting less than 6 weeks will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to the distal acupoints only group(dPOG)and the local acupoints mainly combined with the distal acupoints group(LPMG).during a 4-week treatment period,patients in the dPOG will receive acupuncture at distal acupoints only(Houxi[SI 3]and Yaotongxue[EX-UE 7])twice a week,while those in the LPMG group will receive acupuncture at local acupoints(mainly Shenshu[BL 23]and dachangshu[BL 25])combined with distal points(Weizhong[BL 40]).The patients in both groups will be evaluated at every session of treatment,and the follow-up will be performed for 3 *** primary outcome measure will be the change in ALBP intensity,assessed using visual analogue scale scores before and after *** secondary outcome measure will be the evaluation of functional disability using the Oswestry disability *** This study compares the dPOG and LPMG to explore the feasibility of the dPOG in the treatment of ALBP.

functional networks(fNs)hold significant promise in understanding brain *** component analysis(ICA)has been applied in estimating fNs from functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI).However,determining an optimal model order for ICA remains challenging,leading to criticism about the reliability of fN ***,we propose a SMART(splitting-merging assisted reliable)ICA method that automatically extracts reliable fNs by clustering independent components(ICs)obtained from multi-model-order ICA using a simplified graph while providing linkages among fNs deduced from different-model *** extend SMART ICA to multi-subject fMRI analysis,validating its effectiveness using simulated and real fMRI *** on simulated data,the method accurately estimates both group-common and group-unique components and demonstrates robustness to *** two age-matched cohorts of resting fMRI data comprising 1,950 healthy subjects,the resulting reliable group-level fNs are greatly similar between the two cohorts,and interestingly the subject-specific fNs show progressive changes while age ***,both small-scale and large-scale brain fN templates are provided as benchmarks for future *** together,SMART ICA can automatically obtain reliable fNs in analyzing multi-subject fMRI data,while also providing linkages between different fNs.

We apply stochastic seismic inversion and Bayesian facies classification for porosity modeling and igneous rock identification in the presalt interval of the Santos Basin. This integration of seismic and well-derived information enhances reservoir characterization. Stochastic inversion and Bayesian classification are powerful tools because they permit addressing the uncertainties in the model. We used the ES-MdA algorithm to achieve the realizations equivalent to the percentiles P10, P50, and P90 of acoustic impedance, a novel method for acoustic inversion in presalt. The facies were divided into five: reservoir 1,reservoir 2, tight carbonates, clayey rocks, and igneous rocks. To deal with the overlaps in acoustic impedance values of facies, we included geological information using a priori probability, indicating that structural highs are reservoir-dominated. To illustrate our approach, we conducted porosity modeling using facies-related rock-physics models for rock-physics inversion in an area with a well drilled in a coquina bank and evaluated the thickness and extension of an igneous intrusion near the carbonate-salt interface. The modeled porosity and the classified seismic facies are in good agreement with the ones observed in the wells. Notably, the coquinas bank presents an improvement in the porosity towards the top. The a priori probability model was crucial for limiting the clayey rocks to the structural lows. In Well B, the hit rate of the igneous rock in the three scenarios is higher than 60%, showing an excellent thickness-prediction capability.

The levered-dual response(LEdAR)Coulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail friction for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation capacities are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertical guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** compressive preloads generally result in the consumption of most of the initial excitation energy so as to overcome the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequency ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEdAR system a candidate for the isolation of the mechanical systems about resonance while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation functions and passive functions at extreme frequencies.
