AIM： To investigate the correlation of 18F-fluorodeoxy- glucose （18F-FdG） positron emission tomography （PET） with clinical features and the prediction of treatment response. METHOdS： A total of 83 hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） patients undergoing 18F-FdG PET before transar- terial chemolipiodolization with systemic chemo-infusion between October, 2006 and May, 2009 were retrospec-tively enrolled. The patients included 68 men and 15 women （mean age, 60 ~ 10.7 years）. The effect of 18F- FdG-monitored PET uptake on clinical features and on the evaluated treatment response was ascertained with modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors. The PET parameters of maximal standardized uptake value of the tumor （Tsuvmax）, the ratio of the tumor maximal standardized uptake value （SUV） to the liver maximal SUV （Tsuvmax/Lsuwax） and the ratio of tumor maximal SUV to the liver mean SUV （msuvmax/LSUVrnean） were tested as predictive factors. RESULTS： Among the 3 SUV parameters, the TSUV- =maxdLsuvmean ratio （cutoff value of 1.90） was significantly associated with tumor burden including tumor size, tu- mor number, α-fetoprotein levels and tumor stage （P 〈 0.001, P = 0.008, P = 0.011, P 〈 0.001, respectively）. The objective response rates in patients with a high SUV ratio （≥ 1.90） were significantly better than those with a low SUV ratio （〈 1.90）（P = 0.020）. The overall survival rates of patients exhibiting a low Tsuvmax/Lsu- Vmean ratio （〈 1.90） and those with a high SUV ratio （≥1.90） was 38.2 and 10.3 mo, respectively （P 〈 0.01）. However, the time to progression showed no significant difference between the groups （P = 0.15）. CONCLUSION： 18F-FdG PET can be an important predictor of HCC treatment. In particular, the Tsuvmax/ Lsuwean ratio （cutoff value of 1.90） can provide useful information in treatment prognosis for HCC patients treated with Iocoregional therapy.

Objective:To determine the incidence of preeclampsia(PE)and preterm PE in Spain and to identify the risk factors for developing the ***:This is a multicenter prospective cohort study performed at six maternity units across *** with singleton pregnancies attending their first-trimester routine visit at the hospital were offered *** and pregnancy characteristics,including mean arterial pressure,as well as ultrasound findings were *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify independent risk factors for subsequent development of ***:A total of 5868 pregnancies were recruited for this study,including 174(3.0%)cases of PE,47(0.8%)cases of preterm PE and 127(2.2%)cases of term *** maternal age was 33.9 years(interquartile range:30.1 to 36.9)and median gestational age at the routine visit was 12.7 weeks(interquartile range:12.3 to 13.0).However,293(5.0%)of the women were on aspirin treatment during pregnancy,likely reducing the true incidence of the *** expected,increasing body mass index(Pdex(P=0.011)and mean arterial pressure(Pd conception(P=0.013),previous personal(Pd chronic hypertension(P=0.001)were identified as independent risk factors for developing subsequent PE during *** for PE by maternal factors alone leads to a detection rate of 36.8%(64/174)at 10.0%(587/5868)screen positive ***:In Spain,3.0%of singleton pregnancies are complicated by PE and 0.8%require delivery before term due to its *** of PE by risk factors alone is only able to detect about 40%of total PE at 10%screen-positive rate.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Isoprenoids are a very large and diverse family of metabolites required by all living *** isoprenoids derive fromthe double-bond isomers isopentenyl diphosphate(IPP)and dimethylallyl diphosphate(dMAPP),which are produced by the methylerythritol 4-phosphate(MEP)pathway in bacteria and plant *** has been reported that IPP and dMAPP feedback-regulate the activity of deoxyxylulose 5-phosphate synthase(dXS),a dimeric enzyme that catalyzes the main flux-controlling step of the MEP *** we provide experimental insights *** titration calorimetry and dynamic light scattering approaches showed that IPP and dMAPP can allosterically bind to dXS in vitro,causing a size *** silico ligand binding site analysis and docking calculations identified a potential allosteric site in the contact region between the two monomers of the active dXS *** of IPP and dMAPP contents in vivo followed by immunoblot analyses confirmed that high IPP/dMAPP levels resulted in monomerization and eventual aggregation of the enzyme in bacterial and plant *** of the enzymatically active dimeric conformation allows a fast and reversible reduction of dXS activity in response to a sudden increase or decrease in IPP/dMAPP supply,whereas aggregation and subsequent removal of monomers that would otherwise be available for dimerization appears to be a more drastic response in the case of persistent IPP/dMAPP overabundance(e.g.,by a blockage in their conversion to downstream isoprenoids).Our results represent an important step toward understanding the regulation of the MEP pathway and rational design of biotechnological endeavors aimed at increasing isoprenoid contents in microbial and plant systems.

To describe the feasibility and results of total laparoscopic radical hysterec tomy with intraoperative sentinel lymph node identification in patients with ear ly cervical cancer. Between March 2001 and October 2003, 12 patients with FIGO s tage IA2 (n = 1)or IB1 (n = 11) cancer of the cervix underwent surgical treatmen t through the laparoscopic route. All patients underwent a laparoscopic sentinel node identification with preoperative lymphoscintigraphy (technetium-99 m coll oid albumin injection around the tumor) and intraoperative lymphatic mapping wit h isosulfan blue dye and a laparoscopic gamma probe followed by systematic bilat eral pelvic lymphadenectomy and laparoscopic type II (n = 5) or type III (n = 7) hysterectomy. A mean of 2.5 sentinel nodes per patient (range 1-4) was detecte d, with a mean of 2.33 nodes per patient by gamma probe and a mean of 2 per pati ent after blue injection (combined detection rate 100%). The most frequent loca lization of the nodes was the interiliac region. Histopathologic examination of sentinel nodes including cytokeratin immunohistochemical analysis did not show m etastasis. Microscopic nodal metastases were not found. The mean number of resec ted pelvic nodes was 18.6 per patient (range 10-28). The operation was performe d entirely by laparoscopy in all patients and no case of laparotomy conversion w as recorded. The mean duration of operation was 271 min (range 235-300), with a mean blood loss of 445 mL (range 240-800), and a mean length of stay of 5.25 d ays (range 3-10). No major intraoperative complications occurred. After a media n follow-up of 20 months (range 5-34), all patients are free of disease. This study shows the feasibility of the combination of laparoscopic intraoperative se ntinel node mapping and laparoscopic radical surgery in the context of minimally invasive surgery for the management of patients with early cervical cancer.

近年来(2009～2013年)哥伦比亚马钦火山出现了新的地震活动。为了改善火山监测系统,本文通过分析该地区火山喷气孔和温泉的化学成分及同位素组成,研究了火山排放的流体地球化学特征。由于火山喷气孔中下部液相分离,导致穹丘中上部的喷气孔亏损δd和δ^(18)O(与大气降雨补给的流体相比)。在2011～2013年期间,发现喷气孔有很明显的岩浆成因He,同时排放的液体中岩浆的贡献量也有所增加,证实了地震活动性的增强。地球化学和地震资料都显示马钦火山已经苏醒,说明该火山仍然处于活跃期,值得我们对其活动性进行重点监测。

BACKGROUNd Bloodstream infection(BSI)is one of the most significantly adverse events that can occur after liver transplantation(LT)in *** To analyze the profile of BSI according to the postoperative periods and assess the risk factors after pediatric *** Clinical data,collected from medical charts of children(n=378)who underwent primary LT,were retrospectively *** primary outcome considered was BSI in the first year after *** and multivariate analyses were performed to identify risk factors for BSI and respective odds ratios(ORs).RESULTS Of the examined patients,106(28%)experienced 162 episodes of pathogen-confirmed BSI during the first year after *** were 1.53±0.95 episodes per children(mean±Sd)among BSIcomplicated patients with a median onset of 0.4 mo *** most common pathogenic organisms identified were Coagulase-negative staphylococci,followed by Enterococcus *** Streptococcus *** half(53%)of the BSIs were of unknown *** analysis demonstrated that young age(≤1.3 year;OR=2.1,P=0.011),growth failure(OR=2.1,P=0.045),liver support system(OR=4.2,P=0.008),and hospital stay of>44 d(OR=2.3,P=0.002)were independently associated with BSI in the year after *** BSI was frequently observed in patients after pediatric LT,affecting survival *** profile of BSI may inform clinical treatment and management in high-risk children after LT.
