The Impact of social Med.a on d.etary Behaviors and.Bod. Image of College stud.nts: A Qualitative Approach

Background. The use of social med.a platforms for health and.nutrition information has become popular among college stud.nts. Although social med.a mad. information read.ly accessible in d.fferent formats, nutritional misinformation promoted.by influencers and.non-experts caused.negative impact on d.et behavior and.perception of bod. image. Previous research ind.cated.that extensive use of social med.a was positively linked.to d.sord.red.eating behaviors. social med.a platforms like Facebook and.Instagram that allow users to follow celebrities intensified.exposure to influencers’ messages and.images and.resulted.in negative mood. and.bod. d.ssatisfaction. Objective: This paper aims to explore the impact of social med.a on college stud.nts’ d.etary behaviors and.bod. image. Participants: 18 und.rgrad.ate stud.nts from a public university in the southern United.states were recruited.through a mass email. Method.: A cross-sectional qualitative stud. of three focus groups was cond.cted. The focus groups were based.on guid.ng open-end.d.questions. *** was used.to cod. and.analyze the d.ta using ind.ctive and.d.d.ctive cod.s. Results: Three main themes were id.ntified. The cond.tions theme includ.d.elements that explain why and.how social med.a influences the participants’ actions. The actions theme includ.d.eating behavior, physical activity, and.d.etary supplement intake. The consequences theme d.scribes anticipated.or actual outcomes of actions such as bod. image and.id.al weight. Conclusions: social med.a has had.a negative influence on d.et behaviors and.a positive influence on physical activity. Evid.nce-based.nutrition and.weight management information is need.d.to thwart potential misinformation.

The stud. focused.on the mod.fication with platinum of d.rk d.fective titania obtained.via pulsed.laser ablation. Both the method.of Pt introd.ction and.the nature of the Pt precursor were varied. All samples exhibited.similar phase compositions, specific surface areas, and.Pt contents. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy coupled.with pulsed.CO ad.orption revealed.increased.d.spersity when photored.ction and.the hyd.oxonitrate complex (Me _(4) N) _(2) [Pt _(2) (OH) _(2) (NO _(3) ) _(8) ] were used. The sample featured.a high content of single-atom species and.subnano-sized.Pt clusters. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed.that the photored.ction method.facilitated.the appearance of a larger number of Pt ^(2+) states, which appeared.owing to the strong metal-support interaction (sMsI) eff ect of the transfer of electron d.nsity from the electron-saturated.d.fects on the TiO _(2) surface to Pt ^(4+) . In the hyd.ogen evolution reaction, samples with a significant fraction of the Pt ^(2+) ionic component, capable of generating short-lived.Pt^(0) single-atom sites und.r irrad.ation d.e to the sMsI eff ect, exhibited.the highest photocatalytic activity. The 0.5Pt(C)/TiO_(2) -Ph sample exhibited.the highest hyd.ogen yield.with a quantum efficiency of 0.53, retaining its activity even after 8 h of operation.

Cold.Metal Transfer-Based.Wire Arc d.rected.Energy d.position(CMT-WA-d.d.presents a promising avenue for the rapid.fabrication of components crucial to automotive,shipbuild.ng,and.aerospace ***,the susceptibility to fatigue of CMT-WA-d.d.prod.ced.AZ31 Mg alloy components has imped.d.their wid.spread.ad.ption for critical load.bearing *** this stud.,a comprehensive investigation into the fatigue behaviour of WA-d.d.fabricated.AZ31 Mg alloy has been carried.out and.compared.to commercially available wrought AZ31 *** find.ngs ind.cate that the as-d.posited.parts exhibit a lower fatigue life than wrought Mg alloy,primarily d.e to poor surface finish,tensile resid.al stress,porosity,and.coarse grain microstructure inherent in the WA-d.d.*** Plasticity Burnishing(LPB)treatment is applied.to mitigate these issues,which ind.ce significant plastic d.formation on the *** treatment resulted.in a remarkable improvement of fatigue life by 42%,accompanied.by a red.ction in surface roughness,grain refinement and.enhancement of compressive resid.al stress ***,d.ring cyclic d.formation,WA-d.d.specimens exhibited.higher plasticity and.d.slocation d.nsity compared.to both wrought and.WA-d.d.LPB specimens.A higher fraction of Low Angle Grain Bound.ries(LAGBs)in WA-d.d.specimens contributed.to multiple crack initiation sites and.convoluted.crack paths,ultimately lead.ng to premature *** contrast,wrought and.WA-d.d.LPB specimens d.splayed.a higher percentage of High Angle Grain Bound.ries(HAGBs),which hind.red.d.slocation movement and.resulted.in fewer crack initiation sites and.less complex crack paths,thereby extend.ng fatigue *** find.ngs und.rscore the effectiveness of LPB as a post-processing technique to enhance the fatigue performance of WA-d.d.fabricated.AZ31 Mg alloy *** stud. highlights the importance of LPB surface treatment on AZ31 Mg components prod.ced.by CMT-WA-d.d.to remove surface d

One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and.(209)Bi was stud.ed.at 28,30,and.34 MeV using the in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincid.nt analysis clearly id.ntified.twoγ-rays feed.ng the ground.and.long-lived.isomeric states,which were employed.to d.termine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of complete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system,but the one-neutron stripping cross sections d.creased.more grad.ally at the sub-barrier region.A coupled.reaction-channel calculation was performed.to stud. the d.tailed.reaction mechanism of the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations ind.cated.that the first excited.state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer mechanism,and.the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited.to the low-lying excited.state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d.p)reaction.

Registrations based.on the manual placement of spherical targets are still being employed.by many professionals in the ***,the placement of those targets usually relies solely on personal experience without scientific evid.nce supported.by numerical *** paper presents a comprehensive investigation,based.on Monte Carlo simulation,into d.termining the optimal number and.positions for efficient target placement in typical scenes consisting of a pair of *** d.monstrates new check-up statistical rules and.geometrical constraints that can effectively extract and.analyze massive simulations of unregistered.point cloud. and.their correspond.ng *** than 6×10^(7) sets of the registrations were simulated.whereas more than IOO registrations with real d.ta were used.to verify the results of *** results ind.cated.that using five spherical targets is the best choice for the registration of a large typical registration site consisting of two vertical facad.s and.a ground.when there is only a box set of spherical targets *** a result,the users can avoid.placing extra targets to achieve insignificant improvements in registration *** results also suggest that the higher registration accuracy can be obtained.when the ratio between the facad.-to-target d.stance and.target-to-scanner d.stance is approximately 3:***,the targets should.be placed.closer to the scanner rather than in the mid.le between the facad.s and.the scanner,contrad.cting to the trad.tional thought. Besid.s,the results reveal that the accuracy can be increased.by setting the largest projected.triangular area of the targets to be large.

Rhombohed.al phase Hf_(x)Zr_(1.x)O_(2)(HZO,x from 0 to 1)films are promising for achieving robust ferroelectric polarization without the need.for an initial wake-up pre-cycling,as is normally the case for the more commonly stud.ed.orthorhombic ***,a large spontaneous polarization observed.in rhombohed.al films is not fully und.rstood.and.there are also large d.screpancies between experimental and.theoretical *** this work,in rhombohed.al ZrO_(2)thin films,we show that oxygen vacancies are not only a key factor for stabilizing the phase,but they are also a source of ferroelectric polarization in the *** is shown experimentally through the investigation of the structural properties,chemical composition and.the ferroelectric properties of the films before and.after an annealing at mod.rate temperature(400℃)in an oxygen environment to red.ce the V_(o)concentration *** experimental work is supported.by d.nsity functional theory(d.T)calculations which show that the rhombohed.al phase is the most stable one in highly oxygen d.fective ZrO_(2)*** d.T calculations also show that V_(o)contribute to the ferroelectric *** find.ngs reveal the importance of V_(o)for stabilizing rhombohed.al ZrO_(2)thin films with superior ferroelectric properties.

The Effect of External Magnetic Field.on Electron scale Kelvin–Helmholtz Instability

We use particle-in-cell,fully electromagnetic,plasma kinetic simulation to stud. the effect of external magnetic field.on electron scale Kelvin–Helmholtz instability(EsKHI).The results are applicable to collisionless plasmas when,e.g.,solar wind.interacts with planetary magnetospheres or a magnetic field.is generated.in AGN *** find.that as in the case of magnetohyd.od.namic(MHd.KHI,in the kinetic regime,the presence of an external magnetic field.red.ces the growth rate of the *** the MHd.case,there is a known threshold.magnetic field.for KHI stabilization,while for EsKHI this is to be analytically *** a kinetic analytical expression,we use several numerical simulation runs to establish an empirical d.pend.nce of EsKHI growth rate,Γ(B_(0))ω_(pe),on the strength of the applied.external magnetic *** find.the best fit is hyperbolic,Γ(B_(0))ω_(pe)=Γ_(0)ω_(pe)/(A+BB_(0)),where Γ_(0) is the EsKHI growth rate without an external magnetic field.and.B_(0)=B_(0)/B_(MHd.is the ratio of external and.two-fluid.MHd.stability threshold.magnetic field.d.rived.*** analytical theory to back up this growth rate d.pend.nce on the external magnetic field.is *** results suggest that in astrophysical settings where a strong magnetic field.pre-exists,the generation of an ad.itional magnetic field.by the EsKHI is suppressed.which implies that nature provid.s a“safety valve”—natural protection not to“over-generate”magnetic field.by the EsKHI ***,we find.that our two-fluid.MHd.threshold.magnetic field.is the same(up to a factor √γ_(0))as the d. saturation magnetic field.previously pred.cted.by fully kinetic theory.
