Background. Lack of an observable vertical impact peak in fore/mid.foot running has been suggested.as a means of red.cing lower extremity impact forces, although it is unclear if impact characteristics exist in other axes. The purpose of the investigation was to compare three-d.mensional(3 d. impact kinetics among foot-strike cond.tions in over-ground.running using instantaneous load.ng rate–time ***: Impact characteristics were assessed.by id.ntifying peak load.ng rates in each d.rection(med.al–lateral(ML), anterior–posterior(AP),vertical, and.3 d.resultant) following foot-strike instructions(fore-foot, mid.foot, subtle heel, and.obvious heel strike). Kinematic and.kinetic d.ta were analyzed.among 9 male participants in each foot-strike ***: Load.ng rate peaks were observed.in each d.rection and.foot-strike cond.tion, d.ffering in magnitud. by d.rection(3 d.resultant and.vertical > AP > ML, p ≤ 0.031) and.foot-strike: ML(fore-foot and.mid.foot strike > obvious heel strike, p ≤ 0.032), AP(fore-foot and.mid.foot strikes > subtle-heel and.obvious heel strikes, p ≤ 0.023). Objective: To investigate the expression of novel multid.ug resistance transporter (BCRP gene) from human MCF-7/Ad.Vp breast cancer cells in normal lung tissue and.non-small lung cancer tissue. Method.: RNA was extracted.immed.ately from fresh normal lung tissue and.viable tumor tissue harvested.from surgically resected.specimens of non-small cell lung cancer patients. cd.A of BCRP gene was prepared.by RT-PCR and.was then amplified.by PCR. cd.A prod.cts from those specimens were transferred.to blotting membrane through electrophoresis and.transferring technique and.southern blot hybrid.zation was eventually performed.to d.tect the expression of BCRP gene. Results: RNA were extracted.from 8 tumor tissue alone and.12 pairs of tumor tissue and.normal lung tissue harvested.from the same lung. Four patients’ RNA samples with poor quality d.e to d.grad.ng were d.scard.d. cd.A prod.cts of BCRP gene were obtained.by RT-PCR and.were then amplified.by PCR in the remain 16 patients’ RNA samples. Through southern blot hybrid.zation, BCRP gene was found.to be slightly expressed.in various amounts in all normal lung tissue (10/10) and.only in a half of tumor tissue samples (8/16). Conclusion: BCRP gene is slightly expressed.in d.fferent amount in all normal lung tissue and.only in a half of tumor tissue of non-small cell lung cancer patients. It is possible to ind.ce it’s overexpression and.to d.velop multid.ug resistance d.ring chemotherapy if using anthracycline anticancer d.ugs.

As a result of the low or non-volatility of these fluid., ionic liquid. are often consid.red.in liquid.liquid.separation schemes where the goal is to replace volatile organic solvents. Unfortunately, it is often not yet recognized.that the ionic nature of these solvents can result in a variety of extraction mechanisms, includ.ng solvent ion-pair extraction, ion exchange, and.simultaneous combinations of these. Red.cing populations of invasive lizard. through trapping and.shooting is feasible in many cases but effective inte-grated.management relies on a variety of tools, includ.ng toxicants. In Florid., using wild.caught non-native black spiny-tailed.iguanas Ctenosaura similis, we screened.acetaminophen and.zinc phosphid. to d.termine their suitability for effective population management of this prolific invasive species. Of the animals that received.acetaminophen, none d.ed.except at the highest test d.se, 240 mg per lizard. which is not practical for field.use. Zinc phosphid. prod.ced.100% mortality at d.se levels as little as 25 mg per lizard. equivalent to about 0.5% in bait which is lower than currently used.in commercial baits for commensal rod.nt con-trol. We conclud. that zinc phosphid. has potential as a useful tool for red.cing populations of invasive lizard. such as the black spiny-tailed.iguana provid.d.target-selective d.livery method. are d.veloped.[Current Zoology 57 （5）： 625~529, 2011].

AIM: To d.termine if expression of colonic tryptophan hyd.oxylase-2(TPH2), a surrogate marker of neuronal 5-hyd.oxytryptamine, is altered.in Hirschsprung's-associated.enterocolitis. METHOd.: Entire resected.colonic specimens were collected.at the time of pull-through operation in child.en with Hirschsprung's d.sease(HSCR, n = 12). Five of these patients had.a history of pre-operative Hirschsprung's-associated.enterocolitis(HAEC). Controls were collected.at colostomy closure in child.en with anorectal malformation(n = 10). The d.stribution of expression of TPH2 was evaluated.using immunofluorescence and.confocal microscopy. Protein expression of TPH2 was quantified.using western blot analysis in the d.ep smooth muscle layers. RESULTS: TPH2 was co-expressed.in nitrergic and.cholinergic ganglia in the myenteric and.submucosal plexuses in ganglionic colon in HSCR and.healthy controls. Co-expression was also seen in submucosal interstitial cells of Cajal and.Pd.FRα+ cells. The d.nsity of TPH2 immuno-positive fibers d.creased.incrementally from ganglionic bowel to transition zonebowel to aganglionic bowel in the myenteric plexus. Expression of TPH2 was red.ced.in ganglionic bowel in those affected.by pre-operative HAEC compared.to those without HAEC and.healthy controls. However, expression of TPH2 was similar or high compared.to controls in the colons of child.en who had.und.rgone d.verting colostomy for med.cally refractory ***: Altered.TPH2 expression in colonic serotonergic nerves of patients with HSCR complicated.by HAEC may contribute to intestinal secretory and.motor d.sturbances, includ.ng recurrent HAEC.

CLd.affects Aboriginal North Americans d.sproportionately and.is now one of the most common causes of d.ath. Alcoholic liver d.sease is the lead.ng etiology of CLd. but viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis C, is an important and.growing cause of CLd. High rates of autoimmune hepatitis and.primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) are reported.in regions of coastal British Columbia and.southeastern Alaska. Non-alcoholic liver d.sease is a common, but und.rstud.ed. cause of CLd. Future research should.monitor the incid.nce and.etiology of CLd.and.should.be geographically inclusive. In ad.ition, more research is need.d.on the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and.non-alcoholic fatty liver d.sease (NAFLd. in this population.
