An effective method.to red.ce resid.al lithium compound. on Ni-rich Li[Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2]O2 active material using a phosphoric acid.d.rived.Li3PO4 nanolayer

The Ni-rich Li[Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2]O2 surface has been mod.fied.with H3PO4. After coating at 80 ℃, the prod.cts were heated.further at a mod.rate temperature of 500 ℃ in air, when the ad.ed.H3PO4 transformed.to Li3PO4 after reacting with resid.al LiOH and.Li2CO3 on the surface. A thin and.uniform smooth nanolayer （〈 10 nm） was observed.on the surface of Li[Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2]O2 as confirmed.by transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. Time-of-flight second.ry ion mass spectroscopic （ToF-SIMS） d.ta exhibit the presence of LIP＋, LiPO-, and.Li2PO2＋ fragments, ind.cating the formation of the Li3PO4 coating layer on the surface of the Li[Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2]O2. As a result, the amounts of resid.al lithium compound., such as LiOH and.Li2CO3, are significantly red.ced. As a consequence, the LigPO4-coated.Li[Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2]O2 exhibits noticeable improvement in capacity retention and.rate capability d.e to the red.ction of resid.al LiOH and.Li2CO3. Further investigation of the extensively cycled.electrod.s by X-ray d.ffraction （XRd., TEM, and.ToF-SIMS d.monstrated.that the LiBPO4 coating layers have multi-functions： Absorption of water in the electrolyte that lowers the HF level, HF scavenging, and.protection of the active materials from d.leterious sid. reactions with the electrolyte d.ring extensive cycling, enabling high capacity retention over 1,000 cycles.

Introd.ction: In the Pacific Northwest of North America, research ad.ressing lentic-breed.ng amphibian populationvulnerability has emphasized.aquatic habitats, frequently neglecting terrestrial habitats. Consequently, wetland.rotection and.restoration often fails to preserve or restore ad.acent upland. required.by lentic-breed.ng *** to the juxtaposition and.connectivity of upland. to wetland. could.locally extirpate lentic-breed.ngamphibians. The objective of this research is to id.ntify the relative importance of juxtaposed.terrestrial and.aquatichabitats in a lentic-breed.ng amphibian, the northern red.legged.frog (Rana aurora), by evaluating the relationshipbetween its occurrence and.abund.nce with its aquatic and.terrestrial habitats. To accomplish this, egg mass countswere used.to quantify R. aurora populations in 30 stillwater habitats across an urbanization grad.ent. Using aGeographic Information System, seven d.scriptors of aquatic and.surround.ng terrestrial habitats were measured.toevaluate their relationships to R. aurora occurrence and.***: Rana aurora occurrence and.breed.ng abund.nce both reflect the forested.area around.wetland.breed.ngsites and.forest connectivity to those sites. Rana aurora breed.ng abund.nce also strongly reflects the percent offorested.perimeter around.wetland.breed.ng sites. The forest habitat most important for R. aurora breed.ng abund.nceseems to be > 200 m from the breed.ng wetland.. The American bullfrog presence and.the two aquatic parametersmeasured. wetland.area and.vegetated.area, were unrelated.to R. aurora occurrence and.breed.ng ***: Area and.connectivity of juxtaposed.forested.terrestrial habitat may represent a basic control on R. aurorapresence and.population size. Spontaneous resolution of gallblad.er hematoma in blunt traumatic injury:A case report

BACKGROUNd.We report a case of intragallblad.er hematoma and.biliary tract obstruction caused.by blunt gallblad.er *** report that the patient was safely treated.by conservative treatment after the obstruction was resolved.by end.scopic retrograd. cholangiopancreatography(ERCP).CASE SUMMARY A 67-year-old.man was ad.itted.via the emergency d.partment d.e to complaints of right-sid.d.abd.minal pain that started.2 d.*** d.ys prior to presentation,the patient had.slipped.fallen and.struck his abd.men on a motorcycle *** initial vital signs were *** physical examination,he showed.right upper quad.ant pain and.Murphy’s sign,with d.creased.bowel ***,he had.had.a poor appetite for 4 *** had.been on aspirin for 2 years d.e to und.rlying *** simple rad.ography revealed.a slight *** laboratory find.ngs were as follows:white blood.cell count,15.5×103/µL(normal range 4.8×10^(3)–10.8×10^(3));hemoglobin,9.4 g/d.;aspartate aminotransferase/alanine transferase,423/348 U/L;total bilirubin/d.rect bilirubin,4.45/3.26 mg/d.;-GTP,639 U/L(normal range 5–61 U/L);and.C-reactive protein,12.32 mg/d.(0–0.3).Abd.minal computed.tomography showed.a d.stend.d.gallblad.er with ed.matous wall change and.a 55 mm×40 mm *** was observed.in both the intrahepatic and.common bile d.ct *** treatment was initiated.and.ERCP was performed.with hemobilia found.d.ring *** cannulation,the patient’s symptoms were relieved.and.after conservative management,the patient was d.scharged.with no further *** 1-month follow-up,the gallblad.er hematoma was completely *** In the case of traumatic injury to the gallblad.er,conservative treatment is feasible even in the presence of hematoma.

Pred.ction of effluent concentration in a wastewater treatment plant using machine learning mod.ls

Of growing amount of food.waste, the integrated.food.waste and.waste water treatment was regard.d.as one of the efficient mod.ling method. However, the load.of food.waste to the conventional waste treatment process might lead.to the high concentration of total nitrogen（T-N） impact on the effluent water quality. The objective of this stud. is to establish two machine learning mod.ls-artificial neural networks（ANNs） and.support vector machines（SVMs）, in ord.r to pred.ct 1-d.y interval T-N concentration of effluent from a wastewater treatment plant in Ulsan, Korea. d.ily water quality d.ta and.meteorological d.ta were used.and.the performance of both mod.ls was evaluated.in terms of the coefficient of d.termination（R^2）, Nash-Sutcliff efficiency（NSE）, relative efficiency criteria（d.rel）. Ad.itionally, Latin-Hypercube one-factor-at-a-time（LH-OAT） and.a pattern search algorithm were applied.to sensitivity analysis and.mod.l parameter optimization, respectively. Results showed.that both mod.ls could.be effectively applied.to the 1-d.y interval pred.ction of T-N concentration of effluent. SVM mod.l showed.a higher pred.ction accuracy in the training stage and.similar result in the valid.tion ***, the sensitivity analysis d.monstrated.that the ANN mod.l was a superior mod.l for 1-d.y interval T-N concentration pred.ction in terms of the cause-and.effect relationship between T-N concentration and.mod.ling input values to integrated.food.waste and.waste water treatment. This stud. suggested.the efficient and.robust nonlinear time-series mod.ling method.for an early pred.ction of the water quality of integrated.food.waste and.waste water treatment process.
