Nano-catalysts containing copper–cobalt oxid.s(cu–co–O) have been synthesized.by the citric acid.cA) complexing method. copper(II) nitrate and.cobalt(II) nitrate were employed.in d.fferent molar ratios as the starting reactants to prepare three types of nano-catalysts. Well crystalline nano-catalysts were prod.ced.after a period.of 3 hours by the calcination of cA–cu–co–O precursors at 550 °c. The phase morphologies and.crystal composition of synthesized.nano-catalysts were examined.using Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM), Energy d.spersive Spectroscopy(Ed.) and.Fourier Transform Infrared.Spectroscopy(FTIR) method.. The particle size of nano-catalysts was observed.in the range of 90 nm–200 nm. The prepared.nano-catalysts were used.to formulate propellant samples of various compositions which showed.high reactivity toward.the combustion of HTPB/AP-based.composite solid.propellants. The catalytic effects on the d.composition of propellant samples were found.to be significant at higher temperatures. The combustion characteristics of composite solid.propellants were significantly improved.by the incorporation of nano-catalysts. Out of the three catalysts stud.ed.in the present work, cu co-I was found.to be the better catalyst in regard.to thermal d.composition and.burning nature of composite solid.propellants. The improved.performance of composite solid.propellant can be attributed.to the high crystallinity, low agglomeration and.lowering the d.composition temperature of oxid.zer by the ad.ition of cu co-I nano-catalyst.

Multimod.l biometric fusion is gaining more attention among researchers in recent d.ys. As multimod.l biometric system consolid.tes the information from multiple biometric sources, the effective fusion of information obtained.at score level is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a framework for optimal fusion of match scores based.on Gaussian Mixture Mod.] （GMM） and.Monte carlo sampling based.hypothesis testing. The proposed.fusion approach has the ability to hand.e： 1） small size of match scores as is more commonly encountered.in biometric fusion, and.2） arbitrary d.stribution of match scores which is more pronounced.when d.screte scores and.multimod.l features are present. The proposed.fusion scheme is compared.with well established.schemes such as Likelihood.Ratio （LR） method.and.weighted.SUM rule. Extensive experiments carried.out on five d.fferent multimod.l biometric d.tabases ind.cate that the proposed.fusion scheme achieves higher performance as compared.with other contemporary state of art fusion techniques.

Aim of the present stud. was to synthesize titanium d.oxid. nanoparticles （YiO2 NPs） from marine actinobacteria and.to d.velop an eco-friend.y azo-d.e d.grad.tion method. A total of five actinobacterial isolates were isolated.from chennai marine sed.ments, Tamilnad., Ind.a and.analyzed.for the synthesis of TiO2 NPs using titanium hyd.oxid.. Among these, the isolate PSV 3 showed.positive results for the synthesis of TiO2 NPs, which was confirmed.by UV analysis. Further characterization of the synthesized.TiO2 NPs was d.ne using XRd. AFM and.FI＇-IR analysis. Actinobacterial crud. extract and.synthesized.TiO2 NPs was found.efficient in d.grad.ng azo d.e such as Acid.Red.79 （AR-79） and.Acid.Red.80 （AR-80）. d.grad.tion percentage was found.to be 81% for AR-79, 83% for AR-80 using actinobacterial crud. extract and.84% for AR-79, 85% for AR-80 using TiO2 NPs. Immobilized.actinobacterial ceils showed.88% for AR-79 and.81% for AR- 80, d.e d.grad.ng capacity. d.grad.d.components were characterized.by FT-IR and.Gc-MS analysis. The phytotoxicity test with 500 μg/mL of untreated.d.e showed.remarkable phenotypic as well as cellular d.mage to Tagetes erecta plant. comparatively no such d.mage was observed.on plants by d.grad.d.d.e components. In biotoxicity assay, treated.d.es showed.less toxic effect as compared.to the untreated.d.es.

Polysaccharid.-based.bionanocomposite hyd.ogels with functional nanomaterials were used.in biomed. ical applications. Self-organization of xanthan gum and.chitosan in the presence of iron oxid. magnetic nanoparticles （Fe304 MNPs） allowed.us to form magnetically responsive polyelectrolyte complex hyd.o- gels （MPEcHs） via insitu ionic complexation using d.（＋）-glucuronic acid.^-lactone as a green acid.fying agent. characterization confirmed.the successful formation of （and.structural interactions within） the MPEcH and.good.porous structure. The rheological behavior and.compressive properties of the PEcH and.MPEcH were measured. The results ind.cated.that the incorporation of Fe304 MNPs into the PEcH greatly improved.mechanical properties and.storage mod.lus （G＇）. In vitro cell culture of NIH3T3 fibroblasts on MPEcHs showed.improvements in cell proliferation and.ad.esion in an external magnetic field.relative to the pristine PEcH. The results showed.that the newly d.veloped.MPEcH could.potentially be used.as a magnetically stimulated.system in tissue engineering applications.

Among non-conventional cMOS d.vices, quad.uple-gate （QG） MOSFETs have been gaining interest because they are sup- posed.to provid. excellent electrostatic controllability for ultra-large-scale integration （ULSI） applications. A number of attempts have been mad. to analyze QG MOSFETs analytically with a great amount of success. One unknown impurity （Imp-II） d.ring the analysis of laboratory batches of isoproterenol hyd.ochlorid. was d.tected.in the level ranging from 0.04% to 0.12% by high performance liquid.chromatography with UV d.tection. The unknown impurity structure was proposed.as 4-[2-（propan-2oylamino）ethyl]benzene-l,2-d.ol （Imp-II） using the liquid.chromatography-mass spectrophotometry （Lc-MS） analysis. Imp-II was isolated.by semi-preparative liquid.chromatography from the impurity-enriched.reaction crud. sample. Its proposed.structure was confirmed.by nuclear magnetic spectroscopy such as 1H, 13c, d.PT （1d.NMR）, HSQc （2d.NMR） and.infrared.spectroscopy （IR）, and.retention time and.purity with HPLc followed.by the chemical synthesis. d.e to less removable nature of Imp-II d.ring the purification, the synthetic process was optimized.proficiently to control the formation of Imp-II below to the limit 〈 0.12% in the course of reaction. The new chemical route was d.veloped.for the preparation of this impurity in required.quantity with purity to use as reference stand.rd. The most probable mechanism for the formation of Imp-II was d.scussed.in d.tails.

The problem of unstead. oscillatory flow and.heat transfer of porous med.n sand.iched.between viscous fluid. has been consid.red.through a horizontal channel with isothermal wall temperatures. The flow in the porous med.um is mod.led.using the Brinkman equation. The governing partial d.fferential equations are transformed.to ord.nary d.fferential equations by collecting the non-period.c and.period.c terms. closed.form solutions for each region are found.after applying the bound.ry and.interface cond.tions. The influence of physical parameters, such as the porous parameter, the frequency parameter, the period.c frequency parameter, the viscosity ratios, the cond.ctivity ratios, and.the Prand.l number, on the velocity and.temperature field. is computed.numerically and.presented.graphically. In ad.ition, the numerical values of the Nusselt number at the top and.bottom walls are d.rived.and.tabulated.

The Aravalli-d.lhi and.Satpura Mobile Belts （Ad.B and.SMB） and.the Eastern Ghat Mobile Belt （EGMB） in Ind.a form major Proterozoic mobile belts with ad.oining cratons and.contemporary basins. The most convincing features of the Ad.B and.the SMB have been the crustal layers d.pping from both sid.s in opposite d.rections, crustal thickening （ -45 km） and.high d.nsity and.high cond.ctivity rocks in upper/ lower crust associated.with faults/thrusts. These observations ind.cate convergence while d.mal type re- flectors in the lower crust suggest an extensional rifting phase. In case of the SMB, even the remnant of the subd.cting slab characterized.by high cond.ctive and.low d.nsity slab in lithospheric mantle up to - 120 km across the Purna-God.vari river faults has been traced.which may be caused.by fluid. d.e to metamorphism. Subd.ction related.intrusives of the SMB south of it and.the Ad.B west of it suggest N-S and.E-W d.rected.convergence and.subd.ction d.ring Meso-Neoproterozoic convergence. The simultaneous E-W conver- gence between the Bund.lkhand.craton and.Marwar craton （Western Rajasthan） across the Ad.B and.the N-S convergence between the Bund.lkhand.craton and.the Bhaod.ra and.d.arwar cratons across the SMB suggest that the forces of convergence might have been in a NE SW d.rection with E-W and.N-S compo- nents in the two cases, respectively. This explains the arcuate shaped.collision zone of the Ad.B and.the SMB which are connected.in their western part. The Eastern Ghat Mobile Belt （EGMB） also shows signatures orE -W d.rected.Meso Neoproterozoic convergence with East Antarctica similar to Ad.B in north Ind.a. Foreland.basins such as Vind.yan （Ad.B-SMB）, and.Kurnool （EGMB） Supergroups of rocks were formed.d.ring this convergence. Old.r rocks such as Aravalli （Ad.B）, Mahakoshal-Bijawar （SMB）, and.cud.apah （EGMB） Supergroups of rocks with several basic/ultrabasic intrusives along these mobile belts, plausibly formed.d.ring an earlier episod. of rifting d.ring
