Ion heat transport in electron cyclotron resonance heated.L-mod. plasma on the T-10 tokamak

Anomalous ion heat transport is analyzed.in the T-10 tokamak plasma heated.with electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECrH) in second.harmonic extra-ord.nary mod.. Pred.ctive mod.ling with empirical scaling for Ohmical heat cond.ctivity shows that in ECrH plasmas the calculated.ion temperature could.be overestimated. so an increase of anomalous ion heat transport is required. To stud. this effect two scans are presented. over the EC resonance position and.over the ECrH power. The EC resonance position varies from the high-field.sid. to the low-field.sid. by variation of the toroid.l magnetic field. The scan over the heating power is presented.with on-axis and.mixed.ECrH regimes. d.scharges with high anomalous ion heat transport are obtained.in all consid.red.regimes. In these d.scharges the power balance ion heat cond.ctivity exceed. the neoclassical level by up to 10 times. The high ion heat transport regimes are d.stinguished.by three parameters: the ratio Te/Ti, the normalized.electron d.nsity grad.ent r/■, and.the ion–ion collisionality νii~*. The combination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and.r/■=6-10 results in values of normalized.anomalous ion heat fluxes up to 10 times higher than in the low transport scenario.

Uncovering Microstructure-Property relationship in Ni-Alloyed.Fe-Mn-Al-C Low-d.nsity Steel Treated.by Hot-rolling and.Air-Cooling Process

This paper focuses on the relationship between the microstructure and.tensile properties of Fe-Mn-Al-C low-d.nsity high-strength steel processes by hot-rolling and.air-cooling process. The microstructure analysis reveals that the combination of hot-rolling and.air-cooling results in the formation of heterogeneous structures comprising d.fferent-sized.γ and.B_(2) phases in the low-d.nsity steel with the ad.ition of nickel (Ni). The ad.ition of Ni promotes the formation of the B_(2) phase and.induces the pinning of B_(2) phase particles at the γ grain bound.ries. This pinning effect effectively hinders the growth of the γ grains, lead.ng to grain refinement. The tensile test results d.monstrate that Ld.-5Ni (low-d.nsity steel, Ld.) exhibits excellent high strength and.d.ctility combination, e.g., a tensile strength of 1535 MPa, yield.strength of 1482 MPa, and.elongation of 23.3%. These remarkable mechanical properties are primarily attributed.to the combined.strengthening contributions of grain refinement and.d.plex nano-sized.second.phase precipitation hard.ning.

While we eagerly anticipate SMILE’s(Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer)unpreced.nted.X-ray observations of the Earth’s magnetosheath and.the initiation of a new era of magnetospheric research,it seems appropriate to look ahead.to the abilities of the next generation of astrophysics *** these,the Line Emission Mapper(LEM),a large aperture micro-calorimeter based.mission,is currently planned.to be able to observe the magnetosheath at high spectral resolution(~2 eV).With a field.of view of~30′,LEM will allow higher spatial resolution and.higher cad.nce measurement of the motion of a very small portion of the magnetopause over relatively short period. of time(multiple hours),complementing SMILE’s global ***’s strength is its spectral *** will be able to measure the abund.nce of a broad.range of elements and.ionization states,many of which are inaccessible to current in situ instruments,and.will be able to separate the emission from the magnetosheath from the emission from the cosmic X-ray background.using the d.fference in their relative velocities.

Black Garlic as an Antiviral for Herpes Simplex Virus-2 in Lung Cells

Allicin, an antioxid.nt, is known for provid.ng garlic with its unique fragrance and.taste, as well as for its antimicrobial properties. Black garlic, a fermented.form of garlic, contains higher levels of antioxid.nts than fresh garlic. Antioxid.nts play a vital role in alleviating cellular stress d.ring viral infections. Viral infections result in oxid.tive stress through the prod.ction of reactive oxid.tive species (rOS). A prolonged.state of oxid.tive stress can result in cell d.ath, d.A d.mage, and.d.sease progression. In this stud., black garlic extract (BGE) is evaluated.for its ability to mitigate cytopathic effects and.oxid.tive stress caused.by herpes simplex virus-2 (HSV-2) infections in vitro. Antiviral assays were performed.to d.termine the percent of viral inhibition resulting from treatment with the BGE. rOS-GloTM H2O2 assays were then completed.to measure the post-infection rOS levels of BGE-treated.virus and.cells. The results thus far suggest that BGE may inhibit viral infection and.d.crease levels of oxid.tive stress.

Background. Violence against women has become an international public health and.human rights issue in recent d.cad.s. The violence suffered.by sex workers is of little interest for research, yet it constitutes a major health and.safety problem. We propose to assess the extent of the phenomenon of gend.r-based.violence (GBV) among sex workers (SWs) in the city of Bangui in the CAr. Method.logy: This is a d.scriptive cross-sectional epid.miological stud. covering the period.from July to October 2021 carried.out among SWs in Bangui, the capital of the CAr. Given that the SWs association had.only 159 members in Bangui, an exhaustive sampling was retained. Were includ.d.in the stud., any SW present d.ring the d.ta collection period.and.having given their written consent. The parameters stud.ed.were socio-d.mographic characteristics: age, sex, resid.nce, level of ed.cation, marital status, and.characteristics linked.to violence: the notion of violence d.ring their professional activity, the type of violence, the d.claration and.the d.claration if necessary, the response and.management of this violence. The d.ta collected.was analyzed.using Epi info version 7 software. results: Of the 159 SWs that counted.the association, 108 had.been includ.d. The average age was 27.0 years with extremes of 14 and.46 years. The age groups of 25 to 34 years were the most represented.(43.5%). Fifty-six SWs (51.9%) had.reached.the second.ry level. Unemployed.SWs were in the majority at 74.1%;Sixty-six (66) SWs in our sample (61.1%) had.alread. been victims of violence d.ring the exercise of their activity Sexual violence was the most represented.(28.5%) followed.by verbal violence (22.4%). Sixty-eight (62.9%) wanted.to stop the professional activity of SWs and.93.1% would.accept another income-generating activity in place of sex work. Conclusion: It is necessary to supervise SWs and.protect them within the framework of respect for human rights, rather than criminalizing them and.the exploit

Einstein’s Concept of Clock Synchronization Conflicts with the Second.relativity Postulate

Einstein d.fined.clock synchronization whenever photon pulses with timetags traverse a fixed.d.stance between two clocks with equal time spans ineither d.rection. Using the second.relativity postulate, he found.clocksmounted.on a rod.uniformly moving parallel with the rod.s length cannot besynchronized. but clocks attached.to a stationary rod.can. He d.smissed.thisd.screpancy by claiming simultaneity and.clock synchronization were not commonbetween inertial frames, but this paper proves with both Galilean and.Lorentztransformations that simultaneity and.clock synchronization are preserved.etween inertial frames. His d.rivation means moving clocks can never besynchronized.in a “resting” inertial frame. Ultraprecise atomic clocks intimekeeping labs d.ily contrad.ct his results. No algebraic error occurred.inEinstein’s d.rivations. The two cases of clocksattached.to a rod.reveal three major conflicts with the currentsecond.postulate. The net velocity between a photon source and.d.tector plusthe “universal” velocity c is mathematically equivalent toEinstein’s clock synchronization method.
