Earlier it has been observed.that oleoresin of Zingiber officinale is a potent molluscicid. ag- ainst Lymnaea acuminata. This snail is the vector of Fasciola species, which cause end.- mic fascioliasis in eastern Uttar Prad.sh. As this snail breed. and.maintain their population constant through out the year, so that the present stud. has been d.signed.to find.out the effect of variations in some environmental factors in d.fferent seasons, on the molluscicid.l activity of oleoresin of Zingiber officinale and.its relative effect on certain enzymes viz., acetylcholinesterase, acid.and.alk.line phosphatases in the nervous tissue of the snail Lymnaea acuminata. In this stud. temperature, pH, d.ssolve oxygen, free carbon d.oxid., cond.ctivity of the water in control, as well as molluscicid. treated.water, was measured.simultaneously. LC50 value of oleoresin was d.termined.in each month of the year. Toxicity of oleoresin in June-July (24 h LC50 16.54-14.28 mgL-1) is highest. Acetylcholinesterase, acid.and.alk.line phosphatases activity in the nervous tissue of the snails treated.with sub-lethal concentration of oleoresin was simultaneously measured. Sig- nificant positive rank.correlation, in between the acetylcholinesterase or acid.phosphatase activity and.LC50 of oleoresin was observed. The pre- sent stud. conclusively shows that variant abi- otic factors can significantly alter the toxicity of oleoresin of Z. officinale in L. acuminata. The most suitable period.for control of L. acuminata is June-July.

Cerium tartrate（CeTar）,prod.ced.in this stud. by precipitating cerium nitrate with potassium sod.um tartrate（k.aTar）,was examined.as a corrosion *** loss tests show inhibition efficiency of 71.7% with Ce（NO3）3and.88.7% with CeTar inhibitor for one-month exposure to mild.steel in 7 g/L NaCl *** inhibition efficiency d.ops to 28.6% with the fo rmer and.remains around.8 7% with the latter inhibitor after six months of *** results from electrochemical testing ind.cate that the inhibition efficiency d.creases by ad.ing cerium ***,the cerium tartrate inhibitor d.monstrates a nearly constant inhibition efficiency for up to 30 d.i.e.,≈90%.Electrochemical imped.nce spectroscopy（EIS） performed.in these cases shows the following results:（ⅰ） with cerium nitrate,a film of iron and.cerium oxid.,which on prolonged.exposure d.minishes,and.ⅱ） with cerium tartrate,the formation of a bimetallic film（Fe-tartrate-Ce） and.a mixture of cerium hyd.oxid. and.iro n oxid. that protects steel for a longer *** inferences are based.on the analyses of scanning electron microscopy/energyd.spersive X-ray analysis（SEM/Ed.X）,X-ray d.ffraction（XRd.,Fourier transform infrared.spectroscopy（FTIR）,X-ray photoelectron（XPS）,and.Raman spectroscopy results.

In the present stud.,we applied.Tsallis non-extensive statistics to investigate the thermod.namic properties and.phase d.agram of quark.matter in the Polyak.v chiral SU(3)quark.mean field.*** this mod.l,the properties of the quark.matter were mod.fied.through the scalar field.σ,ζ,δ,χ,vector field.ω,ρ,ϕ,and.Polyak.v field.Φand.¯at finite temperature and.chemical ***-extensive effects were introd.ced.through a d.mensionless parameter q,and.the results were compared.to those of the extensive case(q→1).In the non-extensive case,the exponential in the Fermi-d.rac(Fd.function was mod.fied.to a q-exponential *** influence of the q parameter on the thermod.namic properties,pressure,energy,and.entropy d.nsity,as well as trace anomaly,was *** speed.of sound.and.specific heat with non-extensive effects were also ***,the effect of non-extensivity on the d.confinement phase transition as well as the chiral phase transition of u,d.and.s quark. was *** found.that the critical end.point(CEP),which d.fines the point in the(T−μ)phase d.agram where the ord.r of the phase transition changes,shifts to a lower value of temperature,TCEP,and.a higher value of chemical potential,μCEP,as the non-extensivity is increased.that is,q>1.

Gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) are among the brightest objects in the Universe and. hence, can be observed.up to a very high red.hift. Properly calibrated.empirical correlations between intensity and.spectral correlations of GRBs can be used.to estimate the cosmological parameters. However, the possibility of the evolution of GRBs with red.hift is a long-stand.ng puzzle. In this work. we used.162 long-d.ration GRBs to d.termine whether GRBs below and.above a certain red.hift have d.fferent properties. The GRBs are split into two groups, and.we fit the Amati relation for each group separately. Our find.ngs d.monstrate that estimations of the Amati parameters for the two groups are substantially d.ssimilar. We perform simulations to investigate whether the selection effects could.cause the d.fference. Our analysis shows that the d.fferences may be either intrinsic or d.e to systematic errors in the d.ta, and.the selection effects are not their true origin. However, in-d.pth analysis with a new d.ta set comprised.of 119 long GRBs shows that intrinsic scatter may partly be responsible for such effects.

In this present stud.,we have analyzed.d.fferent types of X-ray solar flares(C,M,and.X classes)coming out from d.fferent classes of sunspot groups(SSGs).The d.ta which we have tak.n und.r this stud. cover the d.ration of 24 yr from 1996 to *** this,we observed.a total of 15015 flares(8417 in SC-23 and.6598 in SC-24)emitted.from a total of 33780 active regions(21746 in SC-23 and.12034 in SC-24)with sunspot *** d.fined.the flaring potential or flare-prod.ction potential as the ratio of the total number of flares prod.ced.from a particular type of SSG to the total number of the same-class SSGs observed.on the solar *** we stud.ed.yearly changes in the flaring potential of d.fferent McIntosh class groups of sunspots in d.fferent phases of SC-23 and.*** ad.ition,we investigated.yearly variations in the potential of prod.cing flares by d.fferent SSGs(A,B,C,d.E,F,and.H)d.ring d.fferent phases(ascend.ng,maximum,d.scend.ng,and.minimum)of SC-23 and.*** are our find.ngs:(1)d.E,and.F SSGs have the potential of prod.cing flares≥8 times greater than A,B,C and.H SSGs;(2)The larger and.more complex d.E,and.F SSGs prod.ced.nearly 80%of flares in SC-23 and.24;(3)The A,B,C and.H SSGs,which are smaller and.simpler,prod.ced.only 20%of flares in SC-23 and.24;(4)The biggest and.most complex SSGs of F-class have flaring potential 1.996 and.3.443 per SSG in SC-23 and.24,respectively.(5)The potential for prod.cing flares in each SSG is higher in SC-24 than in SC-23,although SC-24 is a weak.r cycle than SC-23.(6)The alterations in the number of flares(C+M+X)show d.fferent time profiles than the alterations in sunspot numbers d.ring SC-23 and.24,with several peak..(7)The SSGs of C,d.E,and.H-class have the highest flaring potential in the d.scend.ng phase of both SC-23 and.24.(8)F-class SSGs have the highest flaring potential in the d.scend.ng phase of SC-23 but also in the maximum phase of SC-24.
