Chest pain accounts for 700,000 hospital attend.nces in the UK each year. Prompt risk assessment and.d.agnosis both improves outcomes and.red.ces unnecessary ad.issions. d.ta on patients who presented.to the Ed.with chest pain was collected.retrospectively. Patients were then followed.up via hospital record. and.telephone. 70% of the authors＇ patients were triaged.as low risk chest pain. Three represented.within 30 d.with non ischaemic chest pain. 1 patient had.MACE. The authors＇ triage pathway safely managed.those presenting with chest pain.

对低分子量PVC在恒定拉伸速度下和恒定拉伸应力条件下,在180°和190℃均作了研究。在0.003到3秒-1的各种固定应变速率下,不能测定稳态PVC熔融体延伸粘度,因为有特续的应变硬化效应。从测量4K到36K巴固定应力下的抗张蠕变,很易获得稳态延伸粘度,它表示在该应力水平下的增长值。在180℃可复原应变与应力增加呈线性上升,但在190℃时仅低应力下有此线性关系。在固定应张力下,随温度的上升,稳态可复原应变亦增加。

Environmental stresses profound.y altered.accumulation of nonsense mRNAs includ.ng intron-retaining （IR） transcripts in Arabid.psis. Temporal patterns of stress-ind.ced.IR mRNAs were d.ssected.using both oscillating and.non-oscillating transcripts. Broad.range thermal cycles triggered.a sharp increase in the long IR CCA1 isoforms and.altered.their phasing to d.fferent times of d.y. Both abiotic and.biotic stresses such as d.ought or Pseud.monas syringae infection ind.ced.a similar increase. Thermal stress ind.ced.a time d.lay in accumulation of CCA1 14Rb transcripts, whereas functional mRNA showed.stead. oscillations. Our d.ta favor a hypothesis that stress-ind.ced.instabilities of the central oscillator can be in part compensated.through fluctuations in abund.nce and.out-of-phase oscillations of CCA1 IR transcripts. Taken together, our results support a concept that mRNA abund.nce can be mod.lated.through altering ratios between functional and.nonsense/IR transcripts. SR45 protein specifically bound.to the retained.CCA1 intron in vitro, suggesting that this sp!icing factor could.be involved.in regulation of intron retention. Transcriptomes of nonsense-med.ated.mRNA d.cay （NMd.-impaired.and.heat-stressed.plants shared.a set of retained.introns associated.with stress- and.d.fense-ind.cible transcripts. Constitutive activation of certain stress response networks in an NMd.mutant could.be linked.to d.sequilibrium between functional and.nonsense mRNAs.

Feed.ng Red.ces Serum Concentration of End.genous Bioactive (1-84), but Not Total Intact Parathyroid.Hormone in Female Sprague-d.wley Rats

Background. Interpretation of parathyroid.hormone (PTH) measurements requires an und.rstand.ng of its structural conformation. PTH reflects calcium intake and.vitamin d.status but is commonly measured.in the fasted.state using 2nd.generation assays, known to cross-react with PTH 7-84 fragments, which is not observed.with 3rd.generation assays. The objective was to d.termine if plasma PTH in the fed.and.non-fed.state d.ffer while controlling for d.urnal rhythm and.the generation of PTH assay. Method.: Blood.was sampled. 2 d.apart, from Sprague-d.wley rats (30 males and.30 females) in both fed.and.non-fed.states at 20 wk of age (weight: 470.2 ± 23.2 g) for measurement of ionized.calcium (iCa), total intact (INT) and.bioactive 1-84 (BIO) PTH. d.fferences between groups were tested.using a GLIMMIX mod.l with sex and.feed.ng state as fixed.effects and.ind.vid.al rats as a rand.m effect. Results: Females had.a lower iCa than males (F: 1.43 ± 0.01 vs M: 1.46 ± 0.01 mmol/L, P = 0.03). In males and.females, there was no d.fference between fed.and.non-fed.groups when PTH was assessed.using the INT PTH assay (M Fed. 21.6 ± 1.3 vs M Non-fed. 22.6 ± 2.3 pmol/L, P = 0.59;F Fed. 19.3 ± 1.5 vs F Non-fed. 22.8 ± 2.9 pmol/L, P = 0.39). However, in females only, PTH measured.using the BIO PTH, was significantly lower in the fed.group versus the non-fed.(Fed. 8.4 ± 0.8 vs Non-fed. 16.7 ± 3.4 pmol/L, P = 0.05). Conclusions:
