The objective of the present stud. is to d.velop the irrig.tion planning.mod.l and.to apply the same in the form of Two-Phase Multi Objective Fuzzy Linear Prog.amming.(TPMOFLP) approach for crop planning.in command.area of Jayakwad. Project Stag. I, Maharashtra State, Ind.a. The d.velopment of TPMOFLP mod.l is on the basis of various Linear Prog.amming.(LP) mod.ls and.Multi Objective Fuzzy Linear Prog.amming.(MOFLP) mod.ls, these mod.ls have been applied.for maximization of the Net Benefits (NB), Crop prod.ction (CP), Employment g.neration (Eg. and.Manure Utilization (MU) respectively. The sig.ificant increase in the value of level of satisfaction (λ) has been found.from 0.58 to 0.65 by using.the TPMOFLP approach as compare to that of MOFLP mod.l based.on maxmin approach. The two-phase approach solution provid.s NB = 1503.56 Million Rupees, CP = 335729.30 Tons, Eg.= 29.74 Million Man d.ys and.MU = 160233.70 Tons respectively. The proposed.mod.l will be helpful for the d.cision Maker (d.) to take a d.cision und.r conflicting.situation while planning.for d.fferent conflicting.objectives simultaneously and.has potential to find.out an integ.ated.irrig.tion planning.with prime consid.ration for economic, social and.environmental issue.

In this paper, a multi objective, multireservoir operation mod.l is proposed.using.g.netic alg.rithm (g.) und.r fuzzy environment. A monthly Multi Objective g.netic Alg.rithm Fuzzy Optimization (MOg.FU-OPT) mod.l for the present stud. is d.veloped.in ‘C’ Lang.ag.. The g. parameters i.e. population size, number of g.nerations, crossover probability, and.mutation probability are d.cid.d.based.on optimized.val-ues of fitness function. The g. operators ad.pted.are stochastic remaind.r selection, one point crossover and.binary mutation. Initially the mod.l is run for maximization of irrig.tion releases. Then the mod.l is run for maximization of hyd.opower prod.ction. These objectives are fuzzified.by assuming.a linear membership function. These fuzzified.objectives are simultaneously maximized.by d.fining.level of satisfaction (?) and.then maximizing.it. This approach is applied.to a multireservoir system in g.d.vari river sub basin in Ma-harashtra State, Ind.a. Problem is formulated.with 4 reservoirs and.a barrag.. The optimal operation policy for maximization of irrig.tion releases, maximization of hyd.opower prod.ction and.maximization of level of satisfaction is presented.for existing.d.mand.in command.area. This optimal operation policy so d.ter-mined.is compared.with the actual averag. operation policy for Jayakwad. Stag.-I reservoir.

The objective of this paper is to d.velop the irrig.tion planning.mod.l and.to apply the same in the form of Multi Objective Fuzzy Linear Prog.amming.(MOFLP) approach for crop planning.in command.area of Jayakwad. Project Stag. I, Maharashtra State, Ind.a. To formulate MOFLP mod.l various Linear Prog.amming.(LP) mod.ls are d.veloped.to optimize the Net Benefits (NB), Crop/Yield.Prod.ction (YP), Employment g.neration (Eg. and.Manure Utilization (MU) for which the objective function and.constraints are crisp in nature. From the results of these LP mod.ls the linear membership function for each ind.vid.al objective function has been d.veloped. Consid.ring.the d.cision makers satisfaction level (λ), all the four objectives are maximized.simultaneously. The results of the MOFLP and.LP are compared. The MOFLP mod.l concentrates on satisfying.four objectives simultaneously. The present mod.l will be helpful for the d.cision maker to take d.cision und.r conflicting.situation when planning.for d.fferent objectives simultaneously. The d.g.ee of satisfaction λ, works out to be 0.58. Compromised.solution provid.s Net Benefits 1503.73 Million Rupees, Crop Prod.ction 319563.50 Tons, Employment g.neration/Labour Requirement 29.74 Million Man d.ys and.Manure Utilization 154506.50 Tons respectively.

Surface and.g.ound.ater are related.systems. They can be used.conjunctively to maximize the efficient use of available resources. g.ound.ater may be used.to supplement surface water to cope with the irrig.tion d.mand. to meet the d.ficits in low rainfall period.. The parameters involved.in the present stud. are g.ound.ater availability, surface water availability, water requirement of crops and.crop area. The inclusion of such uncertain parameters lead. to accept the d.cision making.process beyond.the consid.ration of economic benefits. In the present stud., an irrig.tion planning.mod.l is formulated.by consid.ring.the conjunctive use of surface and.g.ound.ater. The resources in the present mod.l, i.e. the area, surface water and.g.ound.ater availability are represented.by fuzzy set. The linear membership function is used.to fuzzify the objective function and.resources. The mod.l is applied.to a case stud. of Jayakwad. project and.solved.for maximization of the d.g.ee of satisfaction (l) which is 0.546.

This paper includ.s an application of d.fferential Evolution (d.) for the optimal operation of multipurpose reservoir. The objective of the stud. is to maximize the hyd.opower prod.ction. The constraints for the optimization problem are reservoir capacity, turbine release capacity constraints, irrig.tion supply d.mand.constraints and.storag. continuity. For initializing.population, the upper and.lower bound. of d.cision variables are fixed. The fitness of each vector is evaluated. The mutation and.recombination is performed. The control parameters, i.e., population size, crossover constant and.the weig.t are fixed.accord.ng.to their fitness value. This proced.re is performed.for the ten d.fferent strateg.es of d.. Sensitivity analysis performed.for ten strateg.es of d. sug.ested.that, d./best/1/bin is the best strateg. which g.ves optimal solution. The d. alg.rithm application is presented.throug. Jayakwad. project stag.-I, Maharashtra State, Ind.a. g.netic alg.rithm is utilized.as a comparative approach to assess the ability of d.. The results of g. and.ten d. strateg.es for the g.ven parameters ind.cated.that both the results are comparable. The mod.l is run for d.pend.ble inflows. Monthly maximized.hyd.opower prod.ction and.irrig.tion releases are presented. These values will be the basis for d.cision maker to take d.cisions reg.rd.ng.operation policy of the reservoir. Results of application of d. mod.l ind.cate that the maximized.hyd.opower prod.ction is 30.885 ×106 kwh and.the cor-respond.ng.irrig.tion release is 928.44 Mm3.

The d.namic transformation of land.use and.land.cover has emerg.d.as a crucial aspect in the effective manag.ment of natural resources and.the continual monitoring.of environmental shifts. This stud. focused.on the land.use and.land.cover (LULC) chang.s within the catchment area of the g.d.vari River, assessing.the repercussions of land.and.water resource exploitation. Utilizing.LANd.AT satellite imag.s from 2009, 2014, and.2019, this research employed.supervised.classification throug. the Quantum g.og.aphic Information System (Qg.S) software’s SCP plug.n. Maximum likelihood.classification alg.rithm was used.for the assessment of supervised.land.use classification. Seven d.stinct LULC classes—forest, irrig.ted.cropland. ag.icultural land.(fallow), barren land. shrub land. water, and.urban land.are d.lineated.for classification purposes. The stud. revealed.substantial chang.s in the g.d.vari basin’s land.use patterns over the ten-year period.from 2009 to 2019. Spatial and.temporal d.namics of land.use/cover chang.s (2009-2019) were quantified.using.three Satellite/Land.at imag.s, a supervised.classification alg.rithm and.the post classification chang. d.tection technique in g.S. The total stud. area of the g.d.vari basin in Maharashtra encompasses 5138175.48 hectares. Notably, the built-up area increased.from 0.14% in 2009 to 1.94% in 2019. The proportion of irrig.ted.cropland. which was 62.32% in 2009, d.clined.to 41.52% in 2019. Shrub land.witnessed.a noteworthy increase from 0.05% to 2.05% over the last d.cad.. The key find.ng. und.rscored.sig.ificant d.clines in barren land. ag.icultural land. and.irrig.ted.cropland. juxtaposed.with an expansion in forest land. shrub land. and.urban land. The classification method.log. achieved.an overall accuracy of 80%, with a Kappa Statistic of 71.9% for the satellite imag.s. Increasing.d.mand.for water from all sectors presents a challeng. for policy makers to improve water allocation policies for storag. reservoirs. In ad.ition, there are many other org.nisms and.species present in river waters that also require water for their survival. d.e to the lack of awareness many times the minimum required.quantity and.quality of water for river ecosystem is not mad. available at d.wnstream of storag. reservoirs. So, a sustainable approach is required.in reservoir operations to maintain the river ecosystem with environmental flow while meeting.the other d.mand.. Multi-objective, multi-reservoir operation mod.l d.veloped.with Python prog.amming.using.Fuzzy Linear Prog.aming.method.incorporating.environmental flow requirement of river is presented.in this paper. Objective of maximization of irrig.tion release is consid.red.for first run. In second.run maximization of releases for hyd.opower g.neration is consid.red.as objective. Further both objectives are fuzzified.by incorporating.linear membership function and.solved.to maximize fuzzified.objective function simultaneously by maximizing.satisfaction level ind.cator (λ). The optimal reservoir operation policy is presented.consid.ring.constraints includ.ng.Irrig.tion release, Turbine release, Reservoir storag., Environmental flow release and.hyd.olog.c continuity.
