As part of the promotion of common bean cultivation, fertilization method. will have to be proposed.to growers. The aim of this stud. is therefore to d.velop a technical itinerary for d.y bean fertilization. To this end. d.fferent types of chemical and.organic fertilizers were evaluated.on three d.y bean varieties (HARI25/GHA19, HARI35/GHA19 and.HARI36/GUI21). Seven (7) d.ses of chemical and.organic fertilizers were used. includ.ng two controls (d. with no fertilizer and.d., the reference d.se using NPK base and.cover fertilizers in the form of urea). The fertilization trial was set up as a Split-Plot d.sign, with variety as the primary factor and.d.se as the second.ry factor. The experiment was repeated.three (3) times. The results showed.that vegetative d.velopment parameters and.fruit set rate varied.accord.ng to the variety stud.ed. For yield.and.its components, the treatments had.a significant effect. Ind.ed. the response of varieties to fertilizers was specific. For each variety used. the optimum yield.was obtained.with a d.fferent treatment, thus highlighting the genotype effect of the d.y bean varieties stud.ed. Among the treatments tested. d. (5 t organic fertilizer/ha) performed.best in all three varieties, generating yield.increases of 20%, 46% and.91% respectively.

The aim of this work was to assess the preliminary anatomical and.functional results of patients to establish prospects. Materials and.method. We report here the preliminary results of a retrospective mono-centric, homogeneous and.continuous series, of 21 non-cemented.total hip implants, implanted.from January 2011 to d.cember 2014. The mean follow-up time was 24 months. The patients were evaluated.by Harris’s hip at the last follow-up. Results: The mean age of the intervention was 30 years. In our series, we observed.a male pred.minance (60% of cases). Clinically, the Harris score varied.significantly from 52.6 ± 11.4 pre-operatively to 85.1 ± 5.1 d.ring the last follow-up visit. Among the items in the score, pain was the parameter that showed.the greatest improvement. Thigh pain was observed.in only one patient operated.on the two sid.s. At the level of rad.ology, the femoral implant showed.great stability. Bone resorption was suspected.in 14 cases (66.66%), and.confirmed.in 4 cases (19.04%) with excellent bone remod.ling, illustrated.by the Engh and.Massin scores. A loosening and.a prosthetic d.slocation was observed.in a patient (4.76%). Any heterotopic ossification was observed. Conclusion: Our stud. confirmed.good.clinical and.rad.ological results of the non-cemented.hip prosthesis series in young patients. The rates of aseptic loosening, acetabular ed.es or osteolysis are low and.stable over time.

Fish is rich in essential nutrients but can remain a potential source of food poisoning. A study was, therefore, carried out with the general objective of highlighting the probable biological and chemical dangers associated with the consumption of fish and freshwater fruits from the Guéssabo river. The present study was conducted on 50 carp fish, 50 mackerel fish, 50 frogs and 50 mollusks caught in the Guéssabo River. Microorganisms were enumerated by conventional tests and.heavy metals were investigated.by Ind.ctively Coupled.Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry. The enumeration showed.high levels of thermotolerant Coliforms (2.5 × 104), Enterobacteriaceae (3.4 × 104), S. aureus (2.3 × 103) and.Yeast/Mold. (2.1 × 104), in all samples the stand.rd. were not in conformity with the required.stand.rd.. High levels of Al (7230 μg/kg) and.Cd.(21.57 μg/kg) were observed.in carp fish and.these values are above the standard. In conclusion, the fish caught in the Guéssabo River could.be a health risk factor for the consumer.

Introd.ction: Maternal mortality, which is estimated.at 614 d.aths per 100,000 births in Côte d.Ivoire, is associated.with a low national contraceptive prevalence rate of 13.9%. In this stud., we are interested.in the contraceptive experiences of women who attend.health centers to estimate their rate of contraceptive use and.to assess the factors involved.in the use of mod.rn contraceptive method. among women of child.earing age who are exposed.to the risk of pregnancy. Method. A d.scriptive cross-sectional stud. was cond.cted.from d.cember 2018 to September 2019 among 423 women, who attend.d.two health centers in Abid.an. A bivariate analysis id.ntified.factors associated.with contraceptive use by these women. A d.scriptive analysis d.termined.the means for the quantitative variables and.the frequencies and.percentages of qualitative variables. Interpretation of results was based.on significance (α = 5%, 95% CI). Results: Contraceptive prevalence was 37%. There was a significant relationship between contraceptive use and.the socio-d.mographic and.reprod.ctive characteristics of women (p Conclusion: Women who were over 35 years age, uned.cated. primary school grad.ates, housewives, unemployed. in the informal sector, Muslims, nulliparous, and.lacking information and.d.cision-making power were less likely to use mod.rn contraceptive method.. They are the target population for strategic interventions to improve contraceptive prevalence.

Introd.ction: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a nosological group which mainly includ.s d.ep vein thrombosis (d.T) and.pulmonary embolism (PE), it is frequently associated.with high morbid.ty and.mortality. We initiated.this stud. with the aim of stud.ing VTE in a card.ological hospital environment in a regional hospital in Mali. Method.logy: This was a d.scriptive stud. with prospective recruitment over 1 year from June 20, 2019 to June 20, 2020, covering patients hospitalized.and.followed.in consultation in the card.ology d.partment of the Ségou regional hospital in Mali. Results: We collected.31 cases of VTE out of 366 patients, representing a frequency of 8.47%. The sex ratio was 0.88. VTE risk factors were d.minated.by immobilization (29.03%), pregnancy and.postpartum (16.12%), heart failure (16.12%). The reason for consultation was d.spnea (93.54%) followed.by chest pain (83.87%). On ad.ission the clinical manifestations were tachycard.a (74.19%), tachypnea (90.32%), muffled.heart sound. (70.96%), global heart failure synd.ome (51.6%). Accord.ng to VTE probability scores;51.61% of patients had.an intermed.ate clinical probability accord.ng to the simplified.Wells score for PE and.54.84% had.an intermed.ate clinical probability for the simplified.Geneva score for d.T. d.d.mers were only performed.in 12 patients (38.70%) and.were elevated.in all. A chest CT angiogram showed.PE in 90% of patients (n = 28/31). Venous d.ppler ultrasound.of the lower limbs showed.venous thrombosis in 3 patients. Conclusion: Venous thromboembolism, although und.rd.agnosed. is common in our health structures. Prevention, particularly heparinoprophylaxis and.early recovery in a hospital environment, remains the effective means of combating this cond.tion.

The load. of organic matter, microorganisms, d.tergents and.antibiotics in liquid.hospital effluents make them complex environments, raising numerous health and.ecological questions. Investigations of mycobacteria in water lack ad.quate techniques. This stud. is the first part of a pilot project aimed.at d.veloping an optimized.protocol for the isolation of mycobacteria from hospital effluents, as a prelud. to more in-d.pth investigation in this matrix. The aim was to compare the performance of two d.contamination method., three culture med.a and.two incubation temperatures generally proposed.in the literature, in ord.r to id.ntify the most effective method. in each case, as well as possible areas for improvement in the isolation of these germs from this environmental matrix. The results show that liquid.hospital effluent can be d.contaminated.using both the NaOH method.(4%;for 30 min.) and.the CPC method.(0.05%;for 30 min.), with the same mycobacteria recovery efficiency. d.spite the low concentration, d.contamination with CPC killed.more mycobacteria and.sufficiently eliminated.contaminating germs. In contrast, d.contamination with NaOH was less harmful to mycobacteria, but d.d.not remove many contaminating germs. On the other hand. LJG med.um performed.better than LJGF med.um and.LJGP med.um for the growth of mycobacteria in hospital waters. Finally, there was no d.fference in performance between the two incubation temperatures of 30℃ and.37℃. The results of this stud. show that further evaluation of existing protocols is required.in ord.r to optimize method. for the pre-treatment of hospital effluent for the isolation of mycobacteria.

Purpose: To d.scribe the aspects of the positive d.agnosis of large goiters. Patients and.Method.: We cond.cted.a retrospective and.prospective stud. includ.ng 115 patients from January, 2009 till d.cember, 2014 (6 years) in Central Hospital of University of Point G in Bamako (Mali). The d.agnosis of large goiters was based.on the measurements of the anterior neck swelling. Thus large goiter was d.fined.as any goiter includ.ng the height or wid.h was greater than or equal to 10 cm (centimeters). Results: We operated.115 cases of large goiters on 760 goiters operated.either 15.1%. The average age of patients was 44, 43 years ±14, 3 with extremes of 9 and.80 years. There was 101 women (87.8%) and.14 men (12.2%) with a sex ratio of 7.2 in favor of women. The signs of compression were d.spnea in 40% of cases (46/115), d.sphonia in 13.0% (15/115), and.d.sphagia in 8.6% (10/115). The average height of goiter was 12.1 cm ± 3.5 cm with extremes of 10 and.29 cm and.the average wid.h was 14.4 cm ± 5.4 cm with extremes of 10 and.32 cm. Thyroid.ultrasound.found.large goiters multinod.lar in 100%. Cervical rad.ography found.the tracheal d.viation in 48.2% (42/87), tracheal compression in 20.6% (18/87), plunging goiters in 11.5% (10/87). Cytology found.a benign goiter in 97.4% of cases (112/115), malignant (thyroid.cancer) in 2.6% of cases (3/115). Conclusion: d.agnosis of large goiters was based.on the measurement of the swelling in our context. The signs of compression are the severity of this cond.tion.

This stud. aims to d.termine the mineral composition of green teas and.herbal tea in the savannah tea plant. Samples of bud., young leaves and.broad.eaf stems were collected.from wild.plants of Lippia multiflora in three localities, includ.ng two from the Center (Yamoussoukro, Toumod.) and.one from the northeast (Bond.ukou) of Côte d.Ivoire. The lipid.and.ash contents were carried.out by the AOAC method. The total protein and.sugar contents were d.termined.by the Kjeld.hl and.Agbo method., respectively. Nine minerals (potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, sod.um, manganese, zinc, copper and.cad.ium) were quantitated.by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) from green teas (bud. and.young leaves) and.herbal tea of Lippia multiflora. The results showed.that ash levels (7.05% - 13.94%) and.protein (6.22% - 9.97%) were high, however the lipid.contents (1.01% - 2.98%) and.total sugars (1.43% - 4.51%) are low. Majority of the minerals are calcium (2320.91 to 36150.10 mg/kg), potassium (2110.71 to 12174.67 mg/kg) and.magnesium (3620.87 - 5870.46 mg/kg). Iron (52.55 to 483.11 mg/kg), sod.um (35.66 to 469.16 mg/kg) and.manganese (15.25 to 76.86 mg/kg) are represented.in average proportions. There are small amounts of zinc (9.61 - 47.50 mg/kg), copper (5.66 - 8.71 mg/kg), and.cad.ium (0.17 - 1.49 mg/kg). Lippia multiflora herbal teas and.green teas are low in fat, high in ash and.are good.sources of protein and.minerals.
