Introd.ction: HIV, the human immunod.ficiency virus, is the etiological agent of acquired.immunod.ficiency synd.ome (AId.). The aim of this stud. was to assess the evolution of the viral load.in patients und.r treatment. Method.logy: This was a stud. carried.out from July 2017 to June 2022 at the Point G University Hospital laboratory. The d.termination of the viral load.of patients was carried.out by PCR on the ABOTT M2000sp/rt platform. Results: A total of 129 patients infected.with HIV-1, aged.19 to 72 years with a mean age of 40.05 years ± 10.71;all on antiretroviral chemotherapy. The female gend.r pred.minated.among our patients. The most common treatment regimen was 2INTI + 1INNTI with 72.9% followed.by 2INTI + 1INI with 13.2%. As for the combinations of molecules, the combination Td. + 3TC + EFV and.Td. + 3TC + d.G pred.minated. respectively 65.1% and.13.2%. 89.9% of our patients had.und.tectable viremia after 12 months of treatment (p d.which had.evolved.from 681315.65 copies/ml ± 1616908.484 to M0 at 5742.36 copies /ml ± 35756.883 at M12 (p Conclusion: Generally speaking, antiretroviral treatment had.contributed.to controlling viral load., however the therapeutic combination Td. + 3TC + d.G had.mad. it possible to obtain more patients with und.tectable viremia instead.

Introd.ction: Fracture of the penis is a rare uro-and.ological emergency d.fined.as the rupture of the tunica albuginea of the erect penis most often d.ring sexual intercourse. Surgical exploration and.repair of the albuginea breach as soon as possible are the stand.rd.treatment. However, in our African context, early d.agnosis and.management are negatively influenced.by the d.lay in consultation d.e to mod.sty. Our objective was to d.scribe the clinical and.therapeutic aspects of the fracture of the penis seen late in the African context and.to compare it with the literature review. Presentation of the case: Our aim was to report our experience in the management of late-onset fracture of the penis, after more than 48 hours of evolution, by reporting the observation of a 54-year-old.patient, who had.a false coitus, treated.in the urology d.partment of the Nianankoro Fomba Hospital. The physical examination revealed.a d.formation of the penis following the formation of a large hematoma with a characteristic eggplant appearance. Therapeutically, a suture of the albuginea was performed.with simple follow-up. Conclusion: This case stud. shows a d.lay in the management of this emergency d.e to the reluctance of the patient to be consulted.as soon as possible for reasons of mod.sty. A d.layed.emergency surgical management was the only therapeutic alternative and.the coronal incision with d.gloving was the only way to approach the voluminous hematoma related.to the d.lay in management.

Analysis of the Energy and.Environmental Sustainability of a Built Space System: The Case of Patte d.#8217;Oie University Campus in Ouagad.ugou

The aim of this stud. was to carry out a d.namic simulation of the energy and.environmental performance of a built space system, with a view to assessing its energy and.environmental class. The use of a simulation and.mod.ling tool, supported.by various method.logical references, formed.the basis of our approach. Ad.pting a systemic perspective, we d.scribed.the structural and.functional aspects of the systems making up built spaces, as well as the associated.energy flows. Our approach was also based.on a typology, taking into account typical d.ys, structural and.functional configurations at d.fferent scales and.angles of observation. The analysis tool we d.veloped.in Java was applied.to the built space system of the Patte d.Oie university campus in Ouagad.ugou. Annual electricity consumption was measured.at 124387.34 kWh, closely aligned.with the average annual electricity bill (125224.31 kWh), with a maximum relative d.viation of 1%, followed.by a carbon emission balance of 58337.66 kg eq CO2 per year. This valid.tion confirmed.the effectiveness of our tool. In ad.ition, following the analysis of electricity consumption using our tool, the university campus was classified.in energy class B and.environmental class C. These results will be based.on the emission factors of the energy mix of the West African Economic and.Monetary Union (WAEMU) territory, with particular emphasis on Burkina Faso.

The rise of new viruses, like SARS-CoV-2 causing the COVId.19 outbreak, along with the return of antibiotic resistance in harmful bacteria, d.mand. a swift and.efficient reaction to safeguard.the health and.welfare of the global population. It is crucial to have effective measures for prevention, intervention, and.monitoring in place to ad.ress these evolving and.recurring risks, ensuring public health and.international security. In countries with limited.resources, utilizing recombinant mutation plasmid.technology in conjunction with PCR-HRM could.help d.fferentiate the existence of novel variants. cd.A synthesis was carried.out on 8 nasopharyngeal samples following viral RNA extraction. The P1 segment of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike S protein was amplified.via conventional PCR. Subsequently, PCR prod.cts were ligated.with the pGEM-T Easy vector to generate eight recombinant SARS-CoV-2 plasmid.. Clones containing mutations were sequenced.using Sanger sequencing and.analyzed.through PCR-HRM. The P1 segment of the S gene from SARS-CoV-2 was successfully amplified. resulting in 8 recombinant plasmid. generated.from the 231 bp fragment. PCR-HRM analysis of these recombinant plasmid. d.fferentiated.three variations within the SARS-CoV-2 plasmid.population, each d.splaying d.stinct melting temperatures. Sanger sequencing id.ntified.mutations A112C, G113T, A114G, G214T, and.G216C on the P1 segment, valid.ting the PCR-HRM find.ngs of the variations. These mutations led.to the d.tection of L452R or L452M and.F486V protein mutations within the protein sequence of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2. In summary, PCR-HRM is a vital and.afford.ble tool for d.stinguishing SARS-CoV-2 variants utilizing recombinant plasmid. as controls.

Perovskites are a category of materials with a unique crystal structure that allows them to absorb sunlight efficiently. This efficiency is particularly high in the case of CH3NH3Pb1-xSnxI3 mixed.perovskites. The combination of lead.(Pb) and.tin (Sn) in this matrix provid.s a broad.spectrum of sunlight absorption, enabling the generation of a larger voltage and. subsequently, increased.power. The primary objective in solar cell d.velopment is to maximize the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Mixed.perovskites like CH3NH3Pb1-xSnxI3 have d.monstrated.significant potential in this regard. Their tunable band.ap, courtesy of varying the Pb: Sn ratio, allows for the optimization of sunlight absorption. The result is solar cells that surpass many conventional counterparts in terms of energy efficiency. Another significant ad.antage of these mixed.perovskite solar cells is their cost-effectiveness. They can be manufactured.using solution-based.processes, which are less expensive than the high-vacuum method. required.for trad.tional silicon solar cells. While the prospects for mixed.perovskite solar cells are und.niably promising, there are concerns about the toxicity of lead. a key component of these cells. Lead.is known to have harmful effects on the environment and.health. The aim of our work is to red.ce or eliminate lead.toxicity in the perovskite cell while maintaining its efficiency. The d.alafara area is part of the highly end.wed.Kéd.ugou-Kéniéba Inlier (KKI), West-Malian gold.belt, which correspond. to a Paleoproterozoic wind.w through the West African Craton (WAC). This stud. presents, first of all, an integration of geophysical d.ta interpretation with litho-structural field.reconnaissance and.then proposes a new litho-structural map of the d.alafara area. The d.alafara area shows a variety of lithology characterized.by volcanic and.volcano-sed.mentary units, metased.ments and.plutonic intrusion. These lithologies were affected.by a complex superposition of structures of unequal importance d.fining three d.formation phases (d.sub>d. to d.sub>d.) und.r d.ctile to brittle regimes. These features permit to portray a new litho-structural map, which shows that the d.alafara area presents a more complex lithological and.structural context than the one presented.in regional map of the KKI. This lead. to the evid.nce that this area could.be a potential site for exploration as it is situated.between two world.class gold.d.stricts.

Velocity Form Calculations of Generalized.Oscillator Strengths for 3s→ (3p, 4p, 5p, 6p) d.pole Transitions of Atomic Sod.um in d.bye Plasma

In this paper, the generalized.oscillator strengths (GOSs) of excitations of atomic sod.um from ground.state to 2p63s0 (3p, 4p, 5p, 6p) states, immersed.in d.bye plasma, were calculated.by using wavefunctions which were obtained.numerically from the restricted.Hartree-Fock (RHF) equation. This RHF equation employs the local d.nsity approach for exchange interactions includ.ng plasma d.bye screening. Theoretical RHF and.rand.m phase approximation with exchange (RPAE) velocity calculations have shown that the GOSs for excitations to 3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p,6 p)d.pend.on the plasma d.bye screening effects, as shown by the red.ction in the GOS amplitud. with d.creasing d.bye length λd. The agreement between the present RPAE V results for the transitions 3 s→3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p)and.the length calculations of Martínez-Flores was satisfactory. Correlation effects were found.quite to be significant in the vicinity of the maxima of the GOS of the 3 s→3 s0(4 p,5 p,6 p)excitations by using the RPAE V approach. We note the poor influence of many electron correlations on the GOS of (3 s→3 p)transition with the same principal quantum number. Finally, we comment that the RPAE V calculations are useful in investigating electron correlation effects on the transition GOS of atomic sod.um planted.in d.bye plasma. The present velocity results also reveal that the 3 s→3 s0(5p, 6p)transition GOSs tend.to be d.localized.d.e to more significant screening effects at d.bye lengths λd.20and.30 a.u. for excited.subshells 5p and.6p, respectively. We report here novel results of GOS for 3 s→3 s06ptransition obtained.from d.fferent d.bye lengths.

Cashew tree has grad.ally moved.from a purely ecological aspect to a socio-economic one, d.e to the marketing of its nuts. But prod.ction per area, estimated.at between 424 and.547 kg/ha, remains low, in contrast to Ind.a (2nd./sup> largest prod.cer) and.Vietnam (3rd./sup> largest prod.cer), whose yield. range from 1000 to 1500 and.2000 to 2500 kg/ha respectively. This low yield.is d.e to a number of factors, among which insect pests are the most d.maging. Among these insects, termites are consid.red.to be one of the main pests of cashew trees. The general objective of this stud. is to contribute to termite management through the use of bioinsecticid.s, an alternative to the use of chemicals in cashew orchard.. Five (5) biological prod.cts were tested. Limocid., Carapa oil, Neem oil, Kitana and.Kaskara. Among them, two prod.cts proved.effective, with a mortality rate of over 50%. These were Limocid., whose LC50 was obtained.in 24 h at a d.se of 3.6 g/ml and.3.1 g/ml , giving a mortality rate of 57.66% ± 4.04% and.51.33 ± 2.08 respectively , and.Carapa, at a d.se of 4.5 g/ml, with an estimated.mortality rate of 52.33% ± 1.52%. Such results have d.monstrated.the potential application of Limocid. and.Carapa biopesticid.s to sustainably control termites in cashew orchard. of Côte d.Ivoire.

Objective: To d.scribe the epid.miological, clinical and.paraclinical characteristics of osteoarthritis of the lower limbs in obese patients at the Cocod. University Teaching Hospital. Method.logy: This was an analytical cross-sectional stud. carried.out in the rheumatology d.partment of the Cocod. UTH in Abid.an (Ivory Coast) from March 1 to April 30 2023. Patients who came for rheumatology consultation presenting with mechanical arthralgia of the lower limbs, who were obese, had.rad.ographic images were includ.d. All patients without rad.ographic images were exclud.d. Obesity was d.fined.as a bod. mass ind.x (BMI) greater than or equal to 30 kg/m. The Chi2 test was used.to compare proportions and.d.termine the existence of associations between osteoarthristis and.obesity, obesity severity and.rad.ographic stage of osteoarthritis as well as the functional impact. A p-value below a pred.fined.threshold.(p = 0,05) ind.cates a significant relationship between the variables. Result: Out of 185 patients received.for osteoarthritis of the lower limbs d.ring the stud. period. 136 were obese (74%). There were 115 women (84.6%) with an average age of 56.03 with a stand.rd.d.viation of 12.72 years (extremes: 22 and.84 years). The main socio-professional category was the informal sector (30%). The majority of patients had.a low socio-economic level (80.2%) and.lived.in urban areas (92.6%). The most common past med.cal history was hypertension (33.08%) followed.by peptic ulcer d.sease (16.91%). Patients had.a bod. mass ind.x class 1 (81.6%), class 2 (15.40%) and.class 3 (2.90%). The average d.ration of symptom progression until d.agnosis was 11 months. Genu varum was the main static d.sord.r (56.10%) and.the knee joint was the d.minant topography (90.4%) with a bilateral localization (80%). The average Lequesne ind.x was greater than 8 (59.5%). The Kellgren and.Lawrence rad.ographic stages were stage 1 (9.20%), stage 2 (46.90%), stage 3 (29.20%) and.stage 4 (6.90%).
