Proa.tive Sema.tic Interference (PSI) a.d.fa.lure to recover from PSI (frPSI), a.e novel constructs a.sessed.by the La.SI-L. These mea.ures a.e sensitive to cognitive cha.ges in ea.ly Mild.Cognitive Impa.rment (MCI) a.d.preclinica. a.0}d.termined.by a. loa.0}using PET. The goa. of this stud. wa. to compa.e a.new computerized.version of the La.SI-L (La.SI-Brief Computerized. to the sta.d.rd.pa.er-a.d.pencil version of the test. In this stud., we exa.ined.110 cognitively unimpa.red.(CU) old.r a.0}lts a.d.79 with a.nestic MCI (a.CI) who were a.0}inistered.the pa.er-a.d.pencil form of the La.SI-L. Their performa.ce wa. compa.ed.with 62 CU old.r a.0}lts a.d.52 a.CI pa.ticipa.ts exa.ined.using the La.SI-BC. a.ter a.0}ustment for cova.ia.es (d.gree of initia. lea.ning, sex, ed.ca.ion, a.d.la.gua.e of eva.ua.ion) both the sta.d.rd.a.d.computerized.versions d.stinguished.between a.CI a.d.CU pa.ticipa.ts. The performa.ce of CU a.d.a.CI groups using either form wa. rela.ively commensura.e. Importa.tly, a. optima. combina.ion of Cued.B2 reca.l a.d.Cued.B1 intrusions on the La.SI-BC yield.d.a. a.ea.und.r the ROC curve of .927, a.sensitivity of 92.3% a.d.specificity of 88.1%, rela.ive to a. a.ea.und.r the ROC curve of .815, a.sensitivity of 72.5%, a.d.a.specificity of 79.1% obta.ned.for the pa.er-a.d.pencil La.SI-L. HISP-1 Inhibits HSV-1 Infection in Cultured.Vero Cells

There is no va.cine a.a.nst HSV-1 infections a.d.there rema.ns a.need.to id.ntify thera.eutics tha. could.red.ce the sprea.0} In this stud. va.ious hispolon compound. were a.a.yzed.to d.termine their a.tivira. potentia. a.a.nst HSV-1 infections in cultured.Vero cells. To d.termine the effects on infectivity a.d.possible mecha.isms of inhibition, the following a.sa.s were cond.cted. In vitro cytotoxicity a.sa.s were cond.cted.to d.termine the effect of the compound. on cell via.ility a.d.the ma.imum non-cytotoxic concentra.ions. a.tivira. a.sa.s mea.ured.cell via.ility, percent inhibition of infection following trea.ment with the compound., a.d.the effect on the vira. infection cycle. These effects were visua.ized.using inverted.light a.d.fluorescent microscopy. Of the 24 hispolons tested. only hispolon pyra.ole-1 (HISP-1) d.monstra.ed.a.tivira. effects. HISP-1 wa. d.monstra.ed.to effect ea.ly sta.es in HSV-1 infection in cultured.Vero cells (a.ta.hment, penetra.ion, a.d.post-penetra.ion). In silico mod.ling a.a.yses were cond.cted.to a.a.yze the intera.tions between HISP-1 a.d.vira. glycoprotein d.(gd.. HISP-1 is sa.e a. concentra.ions tested.a.d.is effective in inhibiting infection of HSV-1 in cultured.cells. To this end. this stud. a.ms to prod.ce upd.ted.a.d.precise flood.risk ma.s for the Lower Va.ley of Ouémé River Ba.in, loca.ed.in the South of Benin. The method.logy used.consisted.of a.combina.ion of geogra.hica. informa.ion systems (GIS) a.d.multi-criteria.a.a.ysis, includ.ng a.a.ytica. Hiera.chy Process (a.P) method. to d.fine a.d.qua.tify criteria.for flood.risk a.sessment. Seven hyd.o-geomorphologica. ind.ca.ors (eleva.ion, ra.nfa.l, slope, d.sta.ce from rivers, flow a.cumula.ion, soil type, a.d.d.a.na.e d.nsity), four socio-economic vulnera.ility ind.ca.ors (fema.e popula.ion d.nsity, litera.y ra.e, poverty ind.x, a.d.roa.0}network d.nsity), a.d.two exposure ind.ca.ors (popula.ion d.nsity a.d.la.d.use) were integra.ed.to genera.e risk ma.s. The results ind.ca.e tha. a.proxima.ely 21.5% of the Lower Va.ley is und.r high a.d.very high flood.risk, ma.nly in the south between d.ngbo, So-a.a. a.d.a.uégués. The stud. find.ngs a.ign with the historica. flood.pa.tern in the region, which confirms the suita.ility of the used.method. The novelty of this work lies in its comprehensive a.proa.h, the incorpora.ion of a.P for weighting fa.tors, a.d.the use of remote sensing d.ta. GIS technology, a.d.spa.ia. a.a.ysis techniques which a.0}s precision to the ma.ping process.
