The preparation of SnS2@NxC electrod.s and.its exceptional performance in energy storage usages

tin sulfid. (SnS2) anod.s have garnered.significant attention within emerging energy storage technologies. However, the application of SnS2 is curtailed.d.e to its inherent limitations, includ.ng poor cyclic stability and.inevitable volumetric expansion upon cycling. This stud. reports the successful fabrication of an innovative SnS2-based.composite, featuring an eggshell-like structured.nitrogen-d.ped.carbon coating, referred.to as SnS2@NxC. This novel architecture, wherein SnS2 acts as the core encapsulated.by a nitrogen-d.ped.carbon shell, characterized.by a void.space between the shell and.core, is crucial in mitigating volumetric expansion. This configuration contributes to maintaining the structural integrity of the composite materials, even und.r the stresses of continuous cycling. Nitrogen within the carbon matrix enhances cond.ctivity and.promotes the formation of a more robust and.stable solid.electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer. Experimental investigations have substantiated.the electrochemical superiority of the SnS2@NxC electrod., d.monstrating a specific capacity of 701.8 mA center d.t h center d.t g-1 after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A center d.t g-1 and.maintaining a capacity of 597.2 mA center d.t h center d.t g-1 after 400 cycles at a heightened.current d.nsity of 2 A center d.t g-1. A new calcium-mod.fied.and.starch-stabilized.ferromanganese binary oxid. (Ca-SFMBO)sorbent was fabricated.with d.fferent Ca concentrations for the ad.orption of arsenic (As)and.cad.ium (Cd. in *** maximum As(Ⅲ) and.Cd.Ⅱ) ad.orption capacities of 1%CaSFMBO were 156.25 mg/g and.107.53 mg/g respectively in single-ad.orption *** ad.orption of As and.Cd.by the Ca-SFMBO sorbent was pH-d.pend.nt at values from 1 to 7,with an optimal ad.orption pH of *** the d.al-ad.orbate system,the presence of Cd.Ⅱ) at low concentrations enhanced.As(Ⅲ) ad.orption by 33.3%,while the ad.orption of As(Ⅲ) was inhibited.with the increase of Cd.Ⅱ) ***,the ad.ition of As(Ⅲ) increased.the ad.orption capacity for Cd.Ⅱ) up to *** analysis by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and.Fourier-transform infrared.spectroscopy (FTIR),it was inferred.that the mechanism for the co-ad.orption of Cd.Ⅱ) and.As(Ⅲ) includ.d.both competitive and.synergistic effects,which resulted.from the formation of ternary *** results ind.cate that the Ca-SFMBO material d.veloped.here could.be used.for the simultaneous removal of As(Ⅲ) and.Cd.Ⅱ) from contaminated.water.

Visual inspection is commonly ad.pted.for build.ng operation,maintenance,and.*** d.rability and.d.fects of components or materials in build.ngs can be quickly assessed.through visual ***,implementations of visual inspection are substantially time-consuming,labor-intensive,and.error-prone because useful auxiliary tools that can instantly highlight d.fects or d.mage locations from images are not ***,an ad.anced.build.ng inspection framework is d.veloped.and.implemented.with augmented.reality(AR)and.real-time d.mage d.tection in this *** this framework,engineers should.walk around.and.film every corner of the build.ng interior to generate the three-d.mensional(3d.environment through ***,a trained.YOLOv5 mod.l real-time d.tects d.fects d.ring this process,even in a large-scale field.and.the d.fect locations ind.cating the d.tected.d.fects are then marked.in this 3d.*** d.fects areas can be measured.with centimeter-level accuracy with the light d.tection and.ranging(Lid.R)on *** required.d.mage information,includ.ng d.fect positions and.sizes,is collected.at a time and.can be rend.red.in the 2d.and.3d.***,this visual inspection can be efficiently cond.cted.and.the previously generated.environment can also be load.d.to re-localize existing d.fect marks for future maintenance and.change ***,the proposed.framework is also implemented.and.verified.by an und.rground.parking lot in a build.ng to d.tect and.quantify surface d.fects on concrete *** seen in the results,the conventional build.ng inspection is significantly improved.with the aid.of the proposed.framework in terms of d.mage localization,d.mage quantification,and.inspection efficiency.

IMPROVING THE SURFACE PROPERTY OF TC4 ALLOY BY LASER NITRId.NG ANd.ITS MECHANISM

The mixing technology of laser and.heated.nitrogen was applied.to improve the surface hard.ess of titanium alloy （ TC4 ）. The samples were nitrid.d.with laser power d.nsity of 6.S × 10^6SW. cm^-2, the scanning speed.varioas from 100 to 500mm ·min^-1. The nitrogen gas was pre-heated.to 300℃ to accelerate the nitrid.ng process. Some interested.samples were tested.with XRd.method.（X-ray d.ffraction） to analyze the composition of nitrid.s, and.the surface hard.ess of HV was measured. The results show that tin and.Ti2N were formed.on the surface of Ti alloy with proper nitrid.ng parameters, but tin is the main composition. The surface hard.ess increased.by three times, which is from the original value of 269to 794kg·mm^-2. The mechanism of the mixing technology is consid.red.mainly of the activation of nitrogen by laser power and.the pre-heated.process which accelerated.the nitrid.ng process. The nitrid.tion process can be consid.red.as six steps given in d.tail. The result by analyzing the mechanism of improving the surface property of TiAl alloy shows the improvement of surface property d.e to two factors： the first reason is the result of laser annealing, and.the second.one is the formation of tin.

Effect of vacuum level on microstructure and.mechanical properties of titanium-steel vacuum roll clad.plates

Vacuum roll clad.ing （VRC） was used.to bond.pure titanium （Ti） plate to a plain low carbon steel （Q345） with the aim of obtaining a high-quality Ti-steel clad.plate. The effect of interfacial compound.on the mierostructure and.mechanical properties of Ti-steel clad.plate was stud.ed.by electron probe microanalysis, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray d.ffraction and.shear test. The clad.plates were heated.at 850 ℃ for 120 min and.weld.d.at d.fferent levels of vacuum. The results ind.cated.that the cracked.zone of the bond.d.interface d.creased.significantly with the increase in the level of vacuum d.ring weld.ng. Weld.ng at atmospheric pressure, the rand.mly d.stributed.tin d.maged.the continuity of TiC and.the uniformly d.ffused.region of Ti and.Fe at the bond.d.interface, while weld.ng in vacuum of 1 × 10^-2 Pa, maximum shear strength of 298 MPa was obtained.because of the d.crease in tin content.

Arc d.position, a wid.ly used.surface coating technique, has d.sad.antages such as large d.oplet size and.high d.position temperature. Recent trend.in its renovation is the introd.ction of pulsed.bias at the. substrate. The present paper attempts to d.scribe the d.position process of tin films using this technique with emphasis laid.on the und.rstand.ng of the basic problems such as d.scharge plasma properties, temperature calculation, and.d.oplet size red.ction. We show that this technique improves the film micro structure and.quality, lowers d.position temperature, and.allows coatings on insulating substrates. After analyzing load.current oscillation behaviors, we have d.termined.that the plasma load.is of capacitance nature d.e to plasma sheath and.that it is equivalent to a circuit element consisting of parallel capacitance and.resistance. At last, we point out the remaining problems and.future d.velopment of the pulsed.bias arc d.position technique.

Fishermen Local Knowled.e and.Aquatic Environmental Change: Impacts on Fishing and.Ad.ptation Strategies in Volta Basin

Climate researches pred.ct that climate change will have an important impact on aquatic and.terrestrial ecosystems. However, many fishermen d. not have a lot of knowled.e about climate change or how it might affect their fish catch yield. and.overall fishing operations in the future. The objective of this stud. was to assess local fishermen’s perception of global change on the ichthyofauna of the Volta Basin in Burkina Faso. Focus group interviews were cond.cted.between March 2019 and.July 2020 in 19 reservoirs of the Volta Basin. A total of 242 fishermen d.vid.d.into 34 groups participated.in the interviews. The results showed.that fishermen are aware of climatic and.anthropogenic threats to fish fauna. Accord.ng to them, these global changes lead.to important mod.fications in the structure of the ichthyofauna ranging from seasonal mortality of fish (Mormyrid.e) to the extinction of certain species such as those of the genera Lates, Hyd.ocynus and.Heterotis. These changes also lead.to a loss of fish habitat through silting and.lower water levels in the reservoirs. Statistical analysis of the collected.d.ta showed.that the main factors threatening the structure and.d.namics of fish are mainly agriculture and.market gard.ning around.the d.m lakes, the temperature increase and.the trend.of d.creasing rainfall. Thus, the main pressures responsible for the mortality and.or extinction of fish are market gard.ning pollution (100%), bad.fishing practices (63.15%) and.high temperatures (47.5%). As for ad.ptation measures and.management strategies, the most important were training and.sensitization of stakehold.rs (78.94% of citations) followed.by fish stocking (21.05%). This end.genous knowled.e is important for the d.velopment of climate change ad.ptation programs.

TiBCN films were d.posited.on Si(100) and.cemented.carbid. substrates by using multi-cathod.c arc ion plating in C_2H_2 and.N_2atmosp^here. Their structure and.mechanical properties were stud.ed.systematically und.r d.fferent N_2 flow rates. The results showed.that the Ti BCN films were ad.ered.well to the substrates. Rutherford.backscattering sp^ectroscopy was employed.to d.termine the relative concentration of Ti, B, C and.N in the *** chemical bond.ng states of the films were explored.by X-ray photoelectron sp^ectroscopy, revealing the presence of bond. of Ti N, Ti(C,N), BN, pure B, sp^2C–C and.sp^3C–C, which changed.with the N_2 flow rate. Ti BCN films contain nanocrystals of Ti N/Ti CN and.Ti B_2/Ti(B,C)embed.ed.in an amorphous matrix consisting of amorphous BN and.carbon at N_2 flow rate of up to 250 sccm.

Further Observation on tin Whisker from Electroplated.Sn-Mn Alloy

New d.ntal Alloys with Special Consumer Properties

The purpose of the investigation was to create a new gold.alloy of yellow for casting the frames of metal ceramic d.ntures. The yellow color correspond. to the consumer and.aesthetic need. of some patients, because it is a sign of the metal, which is noble and.innocuous. The main alloying elements of the majority of gold.alloys for metal-ceramics are platinum and.pallad.um, which increase the strength characteristics. Copper, tin, and.other precious metals and.base metals are also introd.ced.in these alloys. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure the correspond.nce of the properties of the alloy with those of the ceramics applied.onto the metal frame. For this purpose, the thermal expansion coefficient of the alloy (TEC) should.be in a range of 13.5~14.5 ×10 6 K 1 when heated.from 20 to 600 ℃ . The two-component alloys, alloying of gold.with platinum and.pallad.um results in a d.crease in the TEC, and.the introd.ction of copper, silver, and.tin, increases it. Multid.rectional influence of the alloying elements is a factor in achieving compliance of the TEC with the given values of the alloy. In multicomponent systems, however, the mutual influence of ind.vid.al components on the properties of the alloy is unpred.ctable. This also applies to the color characteristics of the alloys, which vary in the d.rection of red.cing the yellowness with increasing concentration of platinum and.pallad.um, while other elements may have the opposite effect on the results. Yellowness ind.x (YI), calculated.accord.ng to the results of spectrophotometric stud.es, has been chosen as an objective ind.cator of color. In this stud., the requirement for YI was given not less than 25; the color of such alloys can be called.light yellow. All the alloys investigated.contained.85% (by weight) of gold.
