Water Intake and Utilization in Mithun (Bos frontalis):Effect of Environmental temperature,Rearing System and concentrate Feed Supplement

Seasonal and sexual variations as well as the effect of dry feed supplement on total drinking water intake and its utilization were observed in mithun （Bosfrontalis） - a semi-wild animal found in North Eastern Hill Region （NEHR） of India. In a completely randomized design, twelve adult mithuns （B. frontalis） as per their sex and body weight were assigned in two different rearing systems （free grazing and free grazing with dry concentrate feed supplementation）, and ten growing male mithuns as per their body weight assigned in two different levels of dry concentrate feed supplementation （1.o kg and 2.0 kg dry concentrate feeds on green forage based diet） and in two different seasons （summer and winter）. It was observed that the environmental temperature had a significant effect on drinking water intake by mithuns. drinking water consumption （per unit of body weight） was significantly （P 〈 0.05） higher in summer than in winter. Supplementation of concentrate feed on free grazing animals resulted in increase in water consumption. total water consumption （drinking as well as performed water） was found to be 15.18 litres per 100 kg body weight by growing mithun. Feed dry matter and digestible nutrient intakes by growing mithun were observed to be increased with the increase of supplementation of dry concentrate feed. Roughage to concentrate ratio did not affect the nutrient digestibility. Mithun calves drank an average of 4.30 litres water for each kg of dry matter intake. Metabolic water was significantly （P〈0.01） increased with the increase of supplementation of concentrate feed whereas water turn over, which depends upon the body weight of the animals, did not differ significantly on offering of lower or higher level of dry feed. Faecal water loss of growing mithun was decreased with the increase in intake of concentrate feed and was estimated to be 33 - 46 % of total water intake. cryptographic Lightweight Encryption Algorithm with dimensionality Reduction in Edge computing

Edge computing is one of the radically evolving systems through generations as it is able to effectively meet the data saving standards of consumers,providers and the workers. Requisition for Edge computing based items havebeen increasing tremendously. Apart from the advantages it holds, there remainlots of objections and restrictions, which hinders it from accomplishing the needof consumers all around the world. Some of the limitations are constraints oncomputing and hardware, functions and accessibility, remote administration andconnectivity. there is also a backlog in security due to its inability to create a trustbetween devices involved in encryption and decryption. this is because securityof data greatly depends upon faster encryption and decryption in order to transferit. In addition, its devices are considerably exposed to side channel attacks,including Power Analysis attacks that are capable of overturning the *** space and the ability of it is one of the most challenging tasks. toprevail over from this issue we are proposing a cryptographic LightweightEncryption Algorithm with dimensionality Reduction in Edge computing. thet-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding is one of the efficient dimensionality reduction technique that greatly decreases the size of the non-linear data. thethree dimensional image data obtained from the system, which are connected withit, are dimensionally reduced, and then lightweight encryption algorithm isemployed. Influences of residual stress and micro-deformation on microstructures and mechanical properties for ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si alloy produced by laser powder bed fusion

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)yields unique advantages during the fabrication of titanium *** the present work,ti-6.5 Al-3.5 Mo-1.5 Zr-0.3 Si alloy specimens with excellent mechanical performances were fabricated by *** as-built specimens displayed relatively high strength and ductility under modest volume energy densities(VEds),whereas they manifested high strength with low ductility under high *** investigate the key reason of this phenomenon,the specimens were designed with two VEds ranges of 60 J/mm^(3) and 85 J/mm^(3).Special attention was paid to the influences of residual stress and micro-deformation on microstructures and mechanical properties for the first *** results indicated that the residual stresses and relative density of the 60 J/mm^(3) range specimens were higher than that of the 85 J/mm3 range *** multiplication and dislocation movement promoted by the residual stress were hindered by the initialα’phase grain boundary(prior-α’GB),leading to the formation ofα’metastable *** mean tensile strength and elongation of the 60 J/mm^(3) range specimens were 1248.1 MPa and 12.3%,respectively,whereas the corresponding values for the 85 J/mm^(3) range specimens were 1405.3 MPa,5.0%,*** deformation,the strength and ductility of the specimens were first improved by lamellar structures generated from prior-α’phases,and then effectively enhanced by the interaction between the{10–12}twins and ***,pores significantly reduced the ductility;hence,high VEd specimens with large twins and numerous large pores increased the strength and reduce the ductility.

the concept of health monitoring is a key aspect of the field of medicine that has been practiced for a long time. A commonly used diagnostic and health monitoring practice is pulse diagnosis, which can be traced back approximately five thousand years in the recorded history of china. With advances in the development of modern technology, the concept of health monitoring of a variety of engineering structures in several applications has begun to attract widespread attention. Of particular interest in this study is the health monitoring of civil structures. It seem natural, and even beneficial, that these two health-monitoring methods, one as applies to the human body and the other to civil structures, should be analyzed and compared. In this paper, the basic concepts and theories of the two monitoring methods are first discussed. Similarities are then summarized and commented upon. It is hoped that this correlation analysis may help provide structural engineers with some insights into the intrinsic concept of using pulse diagnosis in human health monitoring, which may of be some benefit in the development of modern structural health monitoring methods.

Surgical management of polycystic liver disease

Adult polycystic liver disease (PcLd) is an autosomal dominant condition commonly associated with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (AdPKd). However in the last decade, it has been recognized that there is a distinct form of autosomal dominant PcLd that arises without concomitant AdPKd. Early knowledge of the pathogenesis was gained from the study of hepatic cysts in patients with AdPKd. Bile duct overgrowth after embryogenesis results in cystic hepatic dilatations that are known as biliary microhamartomas or von Meyenburg complexes. Further dilatation arises from cellular proliferation and fluid secretion into these cysts. there is a variable, broad spectrum of manifestations of PcLd. Although PcLd is most often asymptomatic, massive hepatomegaly can lead to disabling symptoms of abdominal pain, early satiety, persistent nausea, dyspnea, ascites, biliary obstruction, and lower body edema. complications of PcLd include cyst rupture and cyst infection. Also, there are associated medical problems, especially intracranial aneurysms and valvular heart disease, which clinicians need to be aware of and evaluate in patients with PcLd. In asymptomatic patients, no treatment is indicated for PcLd. In the symptomatic patient, surgical therapy is the mainstay of treatment tailored to the extent of disease for each patient. Management options include cyst aspiration and sclerosis, open or laparoscopic fenestration, liver resection with fenestration, and liver transplantation. the surgical literature discussing treatment of PcLd, including techniques, outcomes, and complication rates, are summarized in this review.

Pushover analysis of reinforced concrete frames considering shear failure at beam-column joints

Since most current seismic capacity evaluations of reinforced concrete （Rc） frame structures are implemented by either static pushover analysis （PA） or dynamic time history analysis, with diverse settings of the plastic hinges （PHs） on such main structural components as columns, beams and walls, the complex behavior of shear failure at beam-column joints （BcJs） during major earthquakes is commonly neglected. this study proposes new nonlinear PA procedures that consider shear failure at BcJs and seek to assess the actual damage to Rc structures. Based on the specifications of FEMA-356, a simplified joint model composed of two nonlinear cross struts placed diagonally over the location of the plastic hinge is established, allowing a sophisticated PA to be performed. to verify the validity of this method, the analytical results for the capacity curves and the failure mechanism derived from three different full-size Rc frames are compared with the experimental measurements. By considering shear failure at BcJs, the proposed nonlinear analytical procedures can be used to estimate the structural behavior of Rc frames, including seismic capacity and the progressive failure sequence of joints, in a precise and effective manner.

correlation of climatic events between East Asia and Norwegian Sea during last deglaciation

Using a high resolution 14c chronology, Sl c values and organic carbon content, from loess/paleosol and peat profiles in china, we can demonstrate century scale warm-cold East Asian monsoon paleoclimatic fluctuation events and significant precipitation variability within the last deglaciation. the major climatic events recognized are the Boiling (1 300-12 500 a B. P.), Older dryas (12 500-11 750 a B. P. ), Allerod (11 750-11 200 a B. P.) and Younger dryas (11 200-10 000 a B.P. ). the stratigraphic structure of the last deglaciation sediments is characterized by frequent changes in sedimentation phases reflecting climatic instability. these high frequency, rapid climatic events can correlate with fluctuations recorded by sea surface temperatures in the Norwegian Sea. this indicates a pale-oclimate teleconnection between polar, high latitude areas and East Asian monsoon areas through westerlies and the related atmospheric pressure system.

Mechanical and thermal postbuckling of FGM thick circular cylindrical shells reinforced by FGM stiffener system using higher-order shear deformation theory

the postbuckling of the eccentrically stiffened circular cylindrical shells made of functionally graded materials （FGMs）, subjected to the axial compressive load and external uniform pressure and filled inside by the elastic foundations in the thermal environments, is investigated with an analytical method. the shells are reinforced by FGM stringers and rings. the thermal elements of the shells and stiffeners in the fundamental equations are considered. the equilibrium and nonlinear stability equations in terms of the displacement components for the stiffened shells are derived with the third-order shear deformation theory and Leckhniskii smeared stiffener technique. the closed-form expressions for determining the buckling load and postbuckling load-deflection curves are obtained with the Galerkin method. the effects of the stiffeners, the foundations, the material and dimensional parameters, and the pre-existent axial compressive and thermal load are considered.

Analysis of switching conditions of chalcogenide alloys during crystallization

to understand the principle and limitation of chalcogenide alloy Ge2Sb2te5 （GSt） in solid-state memory devices during crystallization, it was necessary to develop a physically realistic model that could reflect the electrical and thermal properties of these media. A novel comprehensive numerical model has been developed for simulating these memory devices, which describes the electrical and thermal behavior using the solution of the nonlinear, time-dependent electrical and heat conduction equation. the finite-difference-time-domain technique was adopted to compute the electrical field and heat distribution in the device. Several contributing factors that affect the crystallization switching process such as the geometry of the GSt layer, temperature and electric field dependency of the electrical conductivity have been discussed. the results of the simulations were then used to provide critical guidelines for fabrication and optimization of the device performance.
