The Interest of Endoscopy in the Diagnosis of Fallopian Tubes Diseases at the Yaoundé Gyneco-Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital (Ygoph)

Introduction: Fallopian diseases are often implicated in female infertility. Several radiological and surgical explorations have been proposed in order to evaluate the severity of lesions found in utero-adnexal pathology. Among tools that are used to investigate such pathologies, we have ultrasound, hysterosalpingography and endoscopy. But, in many developing countries like Cameroon, the usage of endoscopy in gynecology is not yet known by many practicians. The objective of our study was to show the interest of endoscopy in the diagnosis of fallopian tube pathologies. Methodology: We conducted a cross-sectional and descriptive study from March 1st, 2017 to May 31st, 2017 at the Gyneco-Obstetrics and Pediatric department of our Hospital. We included all women who presented infertility and underwent ultrasound, hysterosalpingography (HSG) and endoscopy at the Yaoundé Gyneco-obstetrics Hospital. We analyzed epidemiological parameters, clinics, ultrasound, hysterosalpingography and endoscopic finding. We used Cohen’s Kappa test to determine the correlation between HSG/endoscopy and ultrasound/endoscopy in the diagnosis of fallopian tube pathologies. The threshold was significant for a K-value > 0.20. Results: We got a sample of 156 women;the mean age was 32.6 ± 4.5 years. The Secondary infertility dominated in 66.7% of cases;31.1% of women presented a past medical history of sexually transmitted infections and 41.7% did abortions before. Endoscopic lesions were dominated by a fallopian obstruction in 54.5% of cases, 8.3% of adhesions, 33.9% of women presented uterine myomas, 37.8% of ovarian cysts and 1.3% of pelvic endometriosis. The K-values between HSG and endoscopy for distal and proximal tube obstructions were significant with respective thresholds of 0.25 and 0.30. The K-value between ultrasound and endoscopy was not significant with a threshold of 0.015 for the tubal hydrosalpinx. Conclusion: Endoscopy assessment appears as the most efficien

Towards a trait-based quantification of species niche

Topology identification of complex networks is an important problem. Existing research shows that the synchronization of network nodes is an obstacle in the identification of network topology. Identification of the structure of the network presents an interesting challenge during the synchronization of complex *** developed a new method using the sinusoidal disturbance to identify the topology when the complex network achieves synchronization. Compared with the disturbance of all the nodes, the disturbance of the key nodes alone can achieve a very good effect. Finally, numerical simulation data are provided to validate our hypothesis.

Router and gateway node placement in wireless mesh networks for emergency rescue scenarios

Global geopotential models have not included the very high frequencies of the Earth’s external gravity *** is called omission *** omission error becomes more important in mountainous areas(areas with highly variable topography).The work reported here consists in reducing the omission error in measurements of Bouguer gravity anomalies,by refining the global geopotential model EGM2008 using the spectral enhancement *** method consists in computing the residual terrain effects and then coupling them to the gravimetric signal of the global geopotential *** compute the residual terrain effects,we used the Residual Terrain Model(RTM)*** refine it required a reference surface(ETOPO1)developed up to degree 2190(the maximum degree of the EGM2008 model)and a detailed elevation model(AW3D30).Computation was performed with the TC program of the GRAVSOFT *** topography of the study area was assumed to have a constant density of 2670 kg/*** the inner and outer zones,the respective integration radii of 10 km and 200 km have been *** obtained very important RTM values ranging from−53.59 to 34.79 *** values were added to the gravity anomalies grid of the EGM2008 model to improve accuracy at high *** a part of the Cameroon Volcanic line and its surroundings(mountainous area),we made a comparison between the residual Bouguer anomalies before and after *** report differences ranging from−37.40 to 26.40 *** conclude that the impact of omission error on gravimetric signatures is observed especially in areas with high variable topography,such as on the Cameroon Volcanic line and around the localities of Takamanda,Essu,Dumbo,and *** finding illustrates the great influence that topography has on accurate measurement of these gravity anomalies,and thus why topography must be taken into *** can conclude that in preparing a global geopotential model,a high resolution DTM must be used to decrease

Extending normal gamma and normal inverse Gaussian models,multivariate normal stable Tweedie(NST)models are composed by a fixed univariate stable Tweedie variable having a positive value domain,and the remaining random variables given the fixed one are real independent Gaussian variables with the same variance equal to the fixed *** the framework of multivariate exponential families,the NST models are recently classified by their covariance matrices V(m)depending on the mean vector *** this paper,we prove the characterization of all the NST models through their determinants of V(m),also called generalized variance functions,which are power of only one component of *** result is established under the NST assumptions of Monge-Ampere property and *** completes the two special cases of NST,namely normal Poisson and normal gamma *** a matter of fact,it provides explicit solutions of particular Monge-Ampere equations in differential geometry.
