We describe a new species of Rhacophorus based on two adult specimens collected from Hoa Binh Province, northern vietnam. Rhacophorus hoabinhensis sp. nov. is distinguishable from its congeners on the basis of a combination of the following morphological characters： size small （SVL 31.1-32.5 mm in males）; head slightly longer than wide; vomerine teeth absent; snout short （SNL/SVL 0.16）; dorsal skin smooth; forearm and tarsus with dermal fringes; dermal appendage at vent present; webbing formula on fingers I12/3-12/3II1-2III1-1IV and on toes I3/4-1II1/2- IIII1/2-1IVI-1/2V; dorsal surface grey yellow with brown spots; lower jaw region dark grey, throat, chest and belly cream; anterior and posterior thighs, as well as ventral surface of tibia orange. The interspecific uncorrected genetic distances （16S rRNA gene） between the new species from Hoa Binh and other analyzed congeners varied from 9.8% to 17.4%. In the phylogenetic analyses, the new species revealed to be a representative of Rhacophorus and was nested within the R. hoanglienensis-orlovi species group.

Introduction: To investigate if potty training from infancy can affect bladder dysfunction in boys with posterior urethral valves (PUV). Subjects and Methods: The voiding pattern and emptying ability were followed using the 4-hour voiding observation method in 17 vietnamese boys with PUV aged 3 months to 4 years who had been potty-trained from infancy. This group was compared with a group of healthy vietnamese boys. Results: In the boys with PUV, the bladder volume increased according to age, and interrupted voiding was rare. However, when comparing boys with PUV with healthy boys, a significant difference was noted with more frequent voidings and lower voided volumes in the age group 0 - 1 year (P vietnamese boys with PUV, including residual urine, even if there were signs of dysfunction compared with the healthy vietnamese boys. Potty training from infancy could favor early bladder rehabilitation in boys with PUV.

Most geotechnical stability research is linked to“active”failures,in which soil instability occurs due to soil self-weight and external surcharge *** contrast,research on passive failure is not common,as it is predominately caused by external loads that act against the soil *** earlier active trapdoor stability investigation using the Terzaghi’s three stability factor approach was shown to be a feasible method for evaluating cohesive-frictional soil ***,this technical note aims to expand“active”trapdoor research to assess drained circular trapdoor passive stability(blowout condition)in cohesive-frictional soil under axisymmetric *** numerical finite element limit analysis(FELA)simulations,soil cohesion,surcharge,and soil unit weight effects are considered using three stability factors(Fc,Fs,and Fγ),which are all associated with the cover-depth ratio and soil internal friction *** upper-bound(UB)and lower-bound(LB)results are presented in design charts and tables,and the large dataset is further studied using an artificial neural network(ANN)as a predictive model to produce accurate design *** proposed passive trapdoor problem under axisymmetric conditions is significant when considering soil blowout stability owing to faulty underground storage tanks or pipelines with high internal pressures.

This letter addresses the recent study by Zhu et al on the predictive factors for coronal and sagittal graft extrusion length following medial meniscus reconstruction using tendon *** study provides valuable insights into the importance of preoperative joint space width and tunnel positioning as predictors of graft ***,it found strong correlations between preoperative joint space width and medial,posterior,and mean graft extrusion at both 1 week and 8 months ***,tunnel edge distance at 1 week postoperation correlated with anterior and posterior graft *** findings offer critical guidance for improving surgical ***,the letter highlights the need for further research with larger sample sizes and comparative studies involving different graft types to strengthen these findings and broaden their applicability in clinical *** study's contributions to understanding meniscus reconstruction using tendon autografts are acknowledged,along with suggestions for future research directions.

Understanding the relationship between fish parental age and offspring performance over their life cycle is crucial for *** study investigates the effect of parental age for both 1-and 2-year-old fish on the growth and survival rates of their larval to grow-out stages for two wild and domesticated strains of bighead catfish(Clarias macrocephalus).Fish were sampled from the vietnamese Mekong Delta where wild adult fish were collected from a conservation area in Ca Mau Province and domesticated fish were taken from a hatchery in Can *** offspring treatments of 1-and 2-year-old broodstock strains were reared for 3 successive periods:40 days for fingerling rearing in static tanks with water exchange,60 days for juveniles,and 90 days for grow-out in recirculating *** final weight of fish at 190 days varied from 96.7 to 144.7 *** growth of offspring was not affected by parental age(P>0.05),over the 3 rearing ***,the domesticated fish strain showed significantly better growth rates than the wild fish strain(P<0.05).Feed conversion ratios were comparable across fish *** rates did not differ at the fingerling(21.8%-36.4%)and juvenile(69.0%-73.3%)***,significant differences were found at the grow-out stage(69.3%-84.0%),with offspring from 2-year-old parents of both strains having greater survival ***,1-and 2-year-old fish appear to be suitable for bighead catfish breeders.

The local isolates of Trichoderma spp. and Fusarium solani were colected from citrus orchards in the Mekong delta of vietnam and isolated on PDA, PDB and TSM medium for antagonism and Koch’s postulate testing. The results showed that the high chitinolytic enzymes content of Trichoderma isolates can antagonise with Fusarium solani isolates by preventing the germination of Fusarium macroconidia in in-vitro condition. There are five promising isolates of Trichoderma spp. having high antagonism with Fusarium solani. These Trichoderma isolates also grew well in rice straws, maize stems, weeds and water hyacinth biowaste materials. These results supply the promising trend for biological control of root rot disease on citrus orchards of the Mekong delta.
