The Li-Mg-B-H composite(2LiBH_(4)+MgH_(2))has a high capacity of 11.4 wt%as a hydrogen storage ***,the slow kinetics and poor cycling stability severely restrict its practical *** this work,a layered Nb_(2)C MXene was first synthesized and then introduced to tailor the kinetics and cycling stability of the Li-Mg-B-H *** milled 2LiH+MgB_(2)composites were initially hydrogenated to obtain the 2LiBH_(4)+MgH_(2)*** 2LiBH_(4)+MgH_(2)+5wt%Nb_(2)C can release 9.0 wt%H_(2)in 30 min at 400℃,while it is only 2.7 wt%for the undoped 2LiBH_(4)+MgH_(2).The dehydrogenation activation energies of MgH_(2)and LiBH_(4)are 123 and 154 kJ·mol^(-1)respectively for the 5 wt%Nb_(2)C-doped composite,lower than the undoped composite(164 and 165 kJ·mol^(-1)).The 2LiBH_(4)+MgH_(2)+5 wt%Nb_(2)C possesses excellent cycling stability,with the reversible capacity only slightly reduced from 9.4 wt%for the 1st cycle to 9.3 wt%for the 20th ***_(2)C keeps stable in the composite and acts as an efficient catalyst for the Li-Mg-B-H *** is believed that both the layered structure and the active Nb element contribu te to the enhanced hydrogen storage performances of the Li-Mg-B-H *** work confirms that the Nb_(2)C MXene with layered stru cture has a significant enhancing impact on the Li-Mg-B-H hydrogen storage materials,which is different from the bulk NbC.

Evolution of In783 alloy in microstructure and properties enduring different service times

Impact, tensile, and fatigue tests were performed in In783 alloy serving 4000, 23,000 and 48,000 h. The microstructure was then analysed by optical microscopy(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) to probe the relationship between microstructure and properties. The results show that a new Ni_(5)Al_(3) phase is found, which grows gradually in β phase with serving time increasing,destroying the martensitic structure of the β phase, and degenerating the toughness of the β phase(approximately13.88% reduction). Therefore, the degradation of the βphase results in a sharp dropping of the resistance to stress accelerated grain boundary oxygen(SAGBO) during serving;thus, the intergranular fracture morphology degree increases with duration of service(almost 40% increase from the fractured surface). In addition, the strength of alloy will be gradually enhanced when the γ'phase becomes relatively bulky with serving time increasing due to considerable distortion of the dislocations as a result of the spacing of individual particles, in which any movement of the dislocation will have to overcome a larger number of obstacles per unit length.

Organo-chromium(III)complex is one of the chromium contaminant species,which would transform to high-toxic Cr(VI)during migrating in the *** natural organo-chromium(III)(NOCr)is difficult to remove by traditional degradation or precipitation methods,due to its high stability and ***,we demonstrated a novel NOCr removing method by transforming it to certain structures similar to Cr-Fe minerals in nature,through a self-circulating decomplex and immobilization mechanism with nano zero-valent iron(nZVI).Taking chromium glycinate(Cr-Gly)as a probe,nZVI showed a high Cr removal efficiency of 99.4%under ambient *** removal process included three stages of adsorption,decomplexation,and ***-Gly was first adsorbed on the surface of nZVI by chemisorption of the oxide ***,the adsorbed Cr-Gly was decomplexed and oxidized to Cr(VI)by·OH and 1O_(2),which were generated from molecular oxygen activated by ***,the released Cr(VI)could be in-situ adsorbed and re-reduced to Cr(III),which was further immobilized in form of Cr-O-Fe *** the Cr-O-Fe complexing structure was similar to that of Cr-Fe minerals(such as chromohercynite)in nature,this work explored a novel and efficient NOCr removing method that was potential to weaken chromium pollution in the environment.

OBJECTIVE:To elucidate the potential feature and mechanism of the caffeic acid 3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl ester(CADPE)molecule,which can prevent colorectal cancer(CRC)in the 1,2-Dimethylhydrazine(DMH)/dextran sodium sulphate(DSS)-induced mouse ***:Institute of cancer research(ICR)male mice were injected with 20 mg/kg DMH for a *** that,2%DSS was administered in the drinking water for another 7 *** CADPE treatment was given to the DMH/DSS induced male mice at three different periods until their *** examination was used for observing the CRC development at colonic ***(IHC),blood cells smearing and crypt damage scoring methods were used for investigating the anti-inflammation feature of CADPE related to *** reversing targets searching method was applied with artificial intelligence(AI),computeraided drug designing(CADD)and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(IPA)techniques for predicting the potential targets and mechanism of CADPE highly related to ***:The data indicated that CADPE inhibited CRC tumor development in the colitis-associated DMH/DSS induced mouse model after giving the early *** also impeded the acute inflammation by decreasing the infiltration of neutrophils significantly during the initial stage of CRC ***,our data showed that CADPE prevented CRC by blocking active sites of three pivotal protein targets including epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)and mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR)in two major cancer development ***:CADPE effectively prevented CRC at early stage of tumor germination in the DMH/DSS mouse model highly likely due to its anti-acute inflammation characteristic and the ability of blocking EGFR,ERK and m TOR activities in two highly related CRC developing pathways.

Limestone or quicklime is a necessary flux in the iron ore sintering *** production and application process will cause CO_(2) emissions and various environmental pollution,but this has not attracted enough *** slag(CS)is a calcium-rich solid waste produced in acetylene production,the harmless disposal of which is still incomplete,resulting in soil and groundwater *** study investigated the granulation characteristics and sintering performance of the sintering mixture with different proportions of *** results show that replacing limestone with an appropriate proportion of CS is promising and beneficial to the formation of high-quality bonding *** CS accounts for 75%of the total mass of CS and limestone,the tumbler index increases by 8.10%and the comprehensive index decreases only from 100 to 96.16,which is within the acceptable *** application of CS in iron ore sintering can achieve a clean disposal of it and a considerable carbon emission reduction,as the main component of which is Ca(OH)2.

Variable camber wing technology is one of the important development trends of green aviation at *** smooth,seamless,continuous and adaptive change of wing camber,the aerodynamic performance is improved in achieving increase in lift and reduction in resistance and *** on the aerodynamic validation model CAE-AVM,Chinese Aeronautical Establishment(CAE)has carried out the design and validation of a variable camber wing,proposed an aerodynamic deformation matrix for the leading and trailing edges of aircraft wings in takeoff,landing and cruise *** structures and driving schemes are compared,and several key technology problems of leading and trailing edge deformation are solved.A full-size leading edge wind tunnel test piece with a span of 2.7 m and a trailing edge ground function test piece are *** deformation and shape maintenance capabilities of the leading edge is verified under real wind load conditions,and the load bearing and deformation capabilities of the trailing edge is verified under simulated follow-on *** results indicate that the leading and trailing edges of the variable camber wing can achieve the required deformation angle and have a certain load-bearing *** study can provide some insights into the application of variable camber wing technology for civil aircraft.

Transition-metal-catalyzed remote sp^(2)C-H functionalization of aryl sulfonic acids was hardly ever real-ized owing to competitive ortho-C-H functionalization of aryl sulfonates and electron-deficient nature of phenyl ***,with the assistance of a practical biaryl indolyl directing template,palladium-catalyzed remote sp^(2)C-H alkylation of aryl sulfonic acids have been achieved in moderate to good yields with exclusive meta ***,remote meta-selective C-H alkynylation of aryl sulfonic acids was also accomplished with a rhodium *** meta-C-H functionalized products proved to be the superior synthetic precursors,which are difficult to access using the conventional strategy.

Ignition and Lean Blowout Characteristics of a Reverse-Flow Combustor for an Ultra-Compact Gas Turbine Engine

The flame stability limit and propagation characteristics of a reverse-flow combustor without any flame-stabilized device were experimentally investigated under room temperature and *** results indicate that it is feasible to stabilize the flame in the recirculation zones constructed by the impact jet flow from the primary holes and dilution *** flame projected area is mainly distributed in the recirculation zone upstream of the primary holes,whose presence and absence mark the ignition and *** the ignition process,the growth rate and value of the flame projected area first increase and then decrease with the inlet velocity increasing from 9.4 m/s to 42.1 m/s.A rapid reduction followed by a slow reduction of ignition and lean blowout equivalence ratios is achieved by the increased inlet *** the non-reacting fluid structure in three sections was measured,and detailed velocity profiles were analyzed to improve the understanding of the flame stabilization *** results are conducive to the design of an ultra-compact combustor.

Sliding-induced subsurface microstructure evolution is believed to be decisive for determining the friction and wear performance of metallic contacts as well as the development of *** expects to develop a new prediction method of wear state by elucidating the correlation between subsurface microstructure evolution and corresponding magnetic domain ***,subsurface microstructure evolution including crystal and magnetic domain under tribological action is investigated *** results demonstrate that dislocation mediated plastic deformation decisively influences microstructural changes during tribological contact,further determining the magnetic domain ***,sliding-induced plastic deformation causes an increase in the width of magnetic domains,but depth-dependent derived microstructure formed under severe plastic deformation such as the refined grains and sub-grains,in turn,promoted the refinement of magnetic domains and their discontinuity,forming depth-dependent magnetic domain *** results are helpful to clarify the evolution of tribo-magnetization and the pinning effect of dislocations on magnetic domains.

Synthesizing active and durable cubic ceria catalysts(<6 nm)for fast dehydrogenation of bio-polyols to carboxylic acids coproducing green H_(2)

Dehydrogenation is considered as one of the most important industrial applications for renewable *** ceria-based catalysts are known to display promising dehydrogenation performances in this *** particle size(>20 nm)and less surface defects,however,hinder further application of ceria ***,an alternative strategy involving lactic acid(LA)assisted hydrothermal method was developed to synthesize active,selective and durable cubic ceria of<6 nm for dehydrogenation *** studies of growth mechanism revealed that,the carboxyl and hydroxyl groups in LA molecule synergistically manipulate the morphological evolution of ceria *** groups determine the cubic shape and particle size,while hydroxyl groups promote compositional transformation of ceria precursors into CeO_(2) ***,enhanced oxygen vacancies(Vo)on the surface of CeO_(2) were obtained owing to continuous removal of O species under reductive *** CeO_(2) catalysts synthesized by the LA-assisted method,immobilized with bimetallic PtCo clusters,exhibit a record high activity(TOF:29,241 h^(-1))and Vo-dependent synergism for dehydrogenation of bio-derived polyols at 200℃.We also found that quenching Vo defects at air atmosphere causes activity loss of PtCo/CeO_(2) *** regenerate Vo defects,a simple strategy was developed by irradiating deactivated catalysts using hernia *** outcome of this work will provide new insights into manufacturing durable catalyst materials for aqueous phase dehydrogenation applications.
