The com borer is a world-wide agricultural *** this study,a high-efficiency RNAi method was explored to knock down the neuropeptide F(NPF)to determine if NPF regulates larval feeding in the Asian corn borer,Ostrinia *** showed that the expression peaks of npfmRNA in both midgut and fat body are at 28 h of early 5th instar *** NPF was kno eked dow n either by feedi ng dsNPF-c ontaining artificial diet or direct dsNPF in jection into the 5th in star larvae,npf expression was effectively inhibited in the *** feeding,body weight and development time were significantly *** con trast,the expressi on of the npf receptors npfrl and npfr2 in fat body of 5th in star larvae was sign ifica ntly increased by dsNPF *** results indicate that NPF can be effectively knoeked down in ***,and dsNPF by injection is an effective and fast way to silence npf *** study provides a critical basis for further exploration in mechanism of feeding regulation in ***.

As superconducting quantum processors scale,a key challenge is maintaining high coherence times and fidelity control over numerous *** propose an automatic frequency allocation method for frequency-tunable qubits that equally considers coherence-limited fidelity and crosstalk-induced control errors during the allocation *** employing a weighted average of the objective functions for coherence time and crosstalk,we numerically calculate gate fidelity to establish an open-loop optimization for determining suitable weight *** results in an efficient objective function for frequency *** apply our method to frequency-tunable transmon qubits with tunable couplers,both theoretically and *** numerical results demonstrate significant advantages,including substantial reductions in gate errors and faster operation times,especially at higher qubit ***,our approach successfully achieves approximately 99.9%single-qubit fidelity on a nine-qubit chip.

Background Bronchial asthma （BA） and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD） are both inflammatory airway diseases with different characteristics. However, there are many patients who suffer from both BA and COPD. This study was to evaluate changes of inflammatory airway features and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal （HPA） axis function in asthmatic rats combined with COPD. Methods Brown Norway （BN） rats were used to model These three models were compared and evaluated with the inflammatory airway diseases of BA, COPD and COPD＋BA. respect to clinical symptoms, pulmonary histopathology, airway hyperresponsiveness （AHR）, inflammatory cytokines and HPA axis function. Results The inflammatory airway features and HPA axis function in rats in the COPD＋BA model group were greatly influenced. Rats in this model group showed features of the inflammatory diseases BA and COPD. The expression of inflammatory cytokines in this model group might be up or downregulated when both disease processes are present. The levels of corticotrophin releasing hormone mRNA and corticosterone in this model group were both significantly decreased than those in the control group （P 〈0.05）. Conclusions BN rat can be used as an animal model of COPD＋BA. By evaluating this animal model we found that the features of inflammation in rats in this model group seem to be exaggerated. The HPA axis functions in rats in this model group have been disturbed or impaired, which is prominent at the hypothalamic level.

Aim:Advanced glycation endproducts（AGE）have been implicated in the patho-genesis of diabetic complications,including diabetic cardiovascular dysfunction.3-[2-（4-Bromo-phenyl）-1-methyl-2-oxo-ethyl]-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-benzothiazol-3-iumbromide（C16）,a novel AGE breaker,was investigated for its effects on the deve-lopment of cardiovascular disease in diabetic ***:Rats that hadstreptozotocin-induced diabetes for 12 weeks were divided into groups receivingC 16 or vehicle by ***:In hemodynamic studies of the left ventricle,C16 treatment（25 or 50 mg/kg）for 4 weeks resulted in a significant increase in leftventricular systolic pressure,+dp/dtmax,and-dp/dtmaxas compared with vehicle-treated diabetic ***,in hemodynamic studies of the cardiovascularsystem,C16（12.5,25,or 50 mg/kg）treatment for 4 weeks resulted in a dose-dependent and significant increase in cardiac output,a reduction of total periph-eral resistance,and an increase in systemic arterial compliance when comparedwith vehicle-treated diabetic *** studies showed that C16 treatmentalso resulted in a significant decrease in immunoglobulin G-red blood cell surfacecrosslink content and an increase in collagen *** and im-munohistochemical examinations indicated that C 16 was able to prevent increasesof the collagen type Ⅲ/Ⅰ ratio in the aorta and decrease the accumulation of AGEin the ***:C16 has the ability to reduce AGE accumulation intissues in vivo,and can restore diabetes-associated cardiovascular disorders *** provides a potential therapeutic approach for cardiovascular diseaseassociated with diabetes and aging in humans.

Effect of anxiety and depression on the recurrence of persistent atrial fibrillation after circumferential pulmonary vein ablation

Background The effects of anxiety and depression on the recurrence of persistent atrial fibrillation （AF） after circumferential pulmonary vein ablation （CPVA） are not clear. Whether CPVA can alleviate the anxiety and depression symptoms of persistent AF patients is unknown. Methods One hundred and sixty-four patients with persistent AF, of which 43 treated with CPVA （CPVA group） and 103 treated with anti-arrhythmics drugs （medicine group）, were enrolled. The Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale （SAS）, and Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale （SDS） were assessed before and 12 months after treatment in all patients. Results The scores of SAS （40.33±7.90 vs. 49.76±9.52, P 〈0.01） and SDS （42.33±8.73 vs. 48.17±8.77, P 〈0.01） decreased 12 months after CPVA. Over 12 months follow-up, AF relapsed in 17 patients in CPVA group. Compared with the data in the recurrent group （17 patients）, the scores of SAS and SDS were significantly lower in the non-recurrent group （26 patients） at baseline. The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed normal scores of SAS and SDS were the independent risk factors of AF recurrence after CPVA. Conclusions Anxiety and depression increase the recurrence risk of persistent AF after CPVA. CPVA can ameliorate the anxiety and depression symptoms in patients with persistent AF.

Background Studies have shown that increased levels of serum uric acid （SUA） are associated with atrial fibrillation （AF）. However, less is known about the prognostic value of SUA levels for AF in patients with chronic heart failure （CHF）. The aim of the study was to examine the prognostic value of SUA levels for AF in patients with CHF. Methods Sixteen thousand six hundred and eighty-one patients diagnosed with CHF from 12 hospitals were analyzed. Patients were categorized into AF group and non-AF group, death group, and survival group according to the results of the patients＇ medical records and follow-up. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards analyses were performed to examine the risk of AF. The sensitivity and specificity of SUA level in predicting the prognosis were examined by multivariate Cox models and receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves. Results The results of univariate predictors in overall patients showed that the higher SUA level was associated with AF. SUA level （HR, 1.084; 95% CI, 1.017-1.144; P 〈0.001）, diuretics （HR, 1.549; 95% CI, 1.246-1.854; P 〈0.001）, and New York Heart Association （NYHA）（HR, 1.237; 95% CI, 1.168-1.306; P 〈0.001） function class were the independent risk factors for AF. The sensitivity and specificity of the models were 29.6% and 83.8% respectively for predicting AF. When SUA level was added to these models, it remained significant （Wald Z2, 1494.88; P 〈0.001 for AF）; 58.8% （95% CI, 57.7%-60.0%） of the observed results were concordant with the separate model. Conclusion Higher SUA level is associated strongly with AF in patients with CHF. SUA level can increase the sensitivity and specificity in predicting AF.

以供热机组为例,利用抛物面槽式集热技术提出多种太阳能与燃煤机组集成方案。并定义太阳能热电转换效率、火用效率等评价指标,应用锅炉变工况和汽轮机变工况热力计算理论,对不同方案进行热经济性能分析。结果表明:集成方案不同,系统的热经济性能不同;太阳能加热循环工质参数越高,集成方案的热经济性能越好。最后进行简单成本分析。为太阳能与燃煤机组集成方案的选取与实施提供了一定科学依据。
