In recent years,significant progress has been made in both three-dimensional(3d)printing technologies and the exploration of silk as an ink to produce biocompatible *** with the unlimited design potential of 3d printing,silk can be processed into a broad range of functional materials and devices for various biomedical *** ability of silk to be processed into various materials,including solutions,hydrogels,particles,microspheres,and fibers,makes it an excellent candidate for adaptation to different 3d printing *** review presents a didactic overview of the 3d printing of silk-based materials,major categories of printing techniques,and their prototyping mechanisms and structural *** addition,we provide a roadmap for researchers aiming to incorporate silk printing into their own work by summarizing promising strategies from both technical and material aspects,to relate state-of-the-art silk-based material processing with fast-developing 3d printing ***,our focus is on elucidating the techniques and strategies that advance the development of precise assembly strategies for silk-based *** printing(including high printing resolution,complex structure realization,and printing fidelity)is a prerequisite for the digital design capability of 3d printing technology and would definitely broaden the application era of silk,such as complex biomimetic tissue structures,vasculatures,and transdermal microneedles.

The spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4（LNMO） cathode active materials（CAMs） are considered a promising alternative to commercially available cathodes such as layered and polyanion oxide cathodes,primarily.d.e to their notable safety and high energy.d.nsity,particularly in their single-crystal ***,the industrial application of the LNMO CAMs is severely inhibited due to the interfacial deterioration and corrosion under proton-rich and high-voltage *** study successfully.d.signed and synthesized two typical types of crystal facets-exposed single-crystal LNMO *** tracking the electrochemical deterioration and chemical corrosion evolution,this study elucidates the surface degradation mechanisms and intrinsic instability of the LNMO,contingent upon their crystal ***（111） facet,due to its elevated surface energy,is found to be more susceptible to external attack compared to the（100） and（110）*** study highlights the electrochemical corrosion stability of crystal plane engineering for spinel LNMO CAMs.

Senile plaque blue autofluorescence was discovered around 40 years ago,however,its impact on Alzheimer’s disease(Ad)pathology has not been fully *** analyzed senile plaques with immunohistochemistry and fluorescence imaging on Ad brain sections and also Aβ aggregation in *** dAPI or Hoechst staining,the nuclear blue fluorescence could only be correctly assigned after subtracting the blue plaque *** flower-like structures wrapping dense-core blue fluorescence formed by cathepsin d staining could not be considered central-nucleated neurons with defective lysosomes since there was no nuclear staining in the plaque core when the blue autofluorescence was *** Aβ self-oligomers and Aβ/hemoglobin heterocomplexes generated blue *** Aβ amyloid blue autofluorescence not only labels senile plaques but also illustrates red cell aggregation,hemolysis,cerebral amyloid angiopathy,vascular plaques,vascular adhesions,and *** summary,we conclude that Aβ-aggregation-generated blue autofluorescence is an excellent multi-amyloidosis marker in Alzheimer’s disease.

Pancreaticβ-cell failure due to a reduction in function and mass has been defined as a primary contributor to the progression of type 2 diabetes(T2d).Reserving insulin-producingβ-cells and hence restoring insulin production are gaining attention in translational diabetes research,andβ-cell replenishment has been the main focus for diabetes *** findings inβ-cell proliferation,transdifferentiation,pluripotent stem cell differentiation,and associated small molecules have served as promising strategies to regenerateβ-*** this review,we summarize current knowledge on the mechanisms implicated inβ-cell dynamic processes under physiological and diabetic conditions,in which genetic factors,age-related alterations,metabolic stresses,and compromised identity are critical factors contributing toβ-cell failure in *** article also focuses on recent advances in therapeutic strategies for diabetes treatment by promotingβ-cell proliferation,inducing non-β-cell transdifferentiation,and reprograming stem cell *** a significant challenge remains for each of these strategies,the recognition of the mechanisms responsible forβ-cell development and mature endocrine cell plasticity and remarkable advances in the generation of exogenousβ-cells from stem cells and single-cell studies pave the way for developing potential approaches to cure diabetes.

Objective:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillance carried out from January,2019 to May,2023 by the Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospective study analyzed all stool samples received under the acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and immunodeficient vaccine-derived poliovirus(VdPV)surveillance at Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka from January,2019 to May,*** results of the testing methodologies were extracted from the laboratory.d.ta system,i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic differentiation/VdPV real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(ITd/VdPV rRTPCR)and sequencing,along with the data on timing of reporting results,stool adequacy and *** was analyzed using descriptive ***:A total of 2141 stool samples from 1644 cases were received for AFP surveillance from Sri Lanka(93.61%),Maldives(1.52%),and immunodeficient VdPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detected in majority(12/19,63.15%)among the poliovirus *** polioviruses or circulating VdPVs were not detected among the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detection rate was>1/100000 in children aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequacy rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of receipt,ensuring timely reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka plays a vital role in maintaining the polio-free status in the country through its robust laboratory surveillance,while adhering to the surveillance ***-detection of wild polioviruses and circulating VdPV during the study period reinforces the polio-free status in the country.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide,with Hormone Receptor(HR)+being the predominant ***(TAM)serves as the primary treatment for HR+breast ***,drug resistance often leads to recurrence,underscoring the need to develop new therapies to enhance patient quality of life and reduce recurrence ***(ART)has demonstrated efficacy in inhibiting the growth of drug-resistant cells,positioning art as a viable option for counteracting endocrine *** study explored the interaction between artemisinin and tamoxifen through a combined approach of bioinformatics analysis and experimental *** characterized genes(ar,cdkn1a,erbb2,esr1,hsp90aa1)and seven drug-disease crossover genes(cyp2e1,rorc,mapk10,glp1r,egfr,pgr,mgll)were identified using WGCNA crossover *** functional enrichment analyses were *** findings confirm a significant correlation between key cluster gene expression and immune cell infiltration in tamoxifen-resistant and-sensitized ***-seq analysis revealed high expression of key cluster genes in epithelial cells,suggesting artemisinin’s specific impact on tumor cells in estrogen receptor(ER)-positive BC *** target docking and in vitro experiments with artemisinin on LCC9 cells demonstrated a reversal effect in reducing migratory and drug resistance of drug-resistant cells by modulating relevant drug resistance *** results indicate that artemisinin could potentially reverse tamoxifen resistance in ER-positive breast cancer.

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be homogeneously.d.spersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier *** Ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys.
