The epithelial to mesenchymal transition(EMT)is a cellular program that drives de-differentiation of cells in both physiological and pathological *** of the characteristics of cells describing an EMT is the(re)acquisition of a motility capacity that allows them to migrate through the original tissue as well as to other sites in the *** molecular mechanisms that control the EMT are rapidly emerging and here we add to the idea that the adaptation required for cells to commit to the EMT includes adjustments of the translation machinery and metabolic pathways to cope with a high demand of extracellular components.

Aims European frogbit(Hydrocharis morsus-ranae l.)is an aquatic plant originating from Europe that has emerged as an invasive species,spreading in the USA and Canada since it was first brought to North America in *** can now be found in many water bodies,from small ponds and long rivers to large lakes such as lake Ontario and lake *** continuous spread of this spe-cies indicates its success as an invasive species despite legisla-tive attempts to limit its *** et al.(Catling PM,Miltrow G,Haber E,et al.(2003)The biology of Canadian *** morsus-ranae *** J Plant Sci 83:1001-16)wrote a thorough review about this invasive species in North *** review aims for a compilation of the most recent available data and recent studies on ***-ranae *** focuses primarily on its environmental uses,ecological impacts and *** purpose of this review is to offer an organ-ized and updated report on European frogbit that can be used towards future studies with the goal of eradicating this invasive species and providing insights on management of other invasive *** Findings Our findings reveal that European forgbit’s ecological effects on other species and the invaded environment were shown to be less harmful than previously *** frogbit had negative impacts on native plants and reduced dissolved oxygen ***,water chemistry,phytoplankton and zooplankton communities were actually not affected by European *** fungi,bacteria and macroinvertebrates,studies have showed complex and sometimes conflicting *** also specifically discussed the new method to control this species using shading and the more recent studies on biological *** with a shade cloth has been shown to effectively remove European frogbit and had minor environmental ***,using biological control to combat the spread of the invasive frogbit seems not as successful as we wished.

Material identification is critical for understanding the relationship between mechanical properties and the associated mechanical ***,material identification is a challenging task,especially when the characteristic of the material is highly nonlinear in nature,as is common in biological *** this work,we identify unknown material properties in continuum solid mechanics via physics-informed neural networks(PINNs).To improve the accuracy and efficiency of PINNs,we develop efficient strategies to nonuniformly sample observational *** also investigate different approaches to enforce Dirichlet-type boundary conditions(BCs)as soft or hard ***,we apply the proposed methods to a diverse set of time-dependent and time-independent solid mechanic examples that span linear elastic and hyperelastic material *** estimated material parameters achieve relative errors of less than 1%.As such,this work is relevant to diverse applications,including optimizing structural integrity and developing novel materials.

As part of an ongoing comprehensive inventory of Galapagos lichens,a first assessment of the morphology and anatomy of basidiolichens from the archipelago is presented *** is the basis for further studies of the taxonomy,ecology and biogeography of this poorly known group of *** genera,all in Hygrophoraceae,can be distinguished:Acantholichen,cora,Cyphellostereum and *** Acantholichen and cora are characterized by chroococcoid cyanobionts and a heteromerous thallus with a distinct upper cortex and photobiont *** monotypic Acantholichen pannarioides is entirely composed of small,branched,inflated squamules that appear densely pruinose because their cortical hyphae bear characteristically swollen,densely spinose end cells(acanthohyphidia);this species has never been observed *** common cora glabrata is foliose,forming large,radially zonate,conch-like,often tiled thalli,when fertile with circular lines of basidiocarps on its lower *** is distinguished by filamentous cyanobionts and distinctly filamentous thalli that are homomereous(i.e.,not distinctly layered);all species of Dictyonema *** trichomes(filamentose cyanobacterial photobionts)closely enveloped by fungal cells of a jigsaw *** *** thallus filaments(i.e.,individual fibrils)aggregate to form shelf-like structures similar in appearance to polyporoid bracket fungi;basidiocarps develop in irregular patches on the lower side of these *** contrast,fibrils of *** grow encrusting their substrate with irregularly to suberect trichomes,occasionally bearing basidiocarps dispersed across the *** other species in Galapagos show adpressed growth form and are described here as new:Dictyonema pectinatum,which is characterized by large parallel fibrils with paler,papillate tips,and ***,characterized by thin trichomes of more squarrish elongate *** genus Cyphellostereum is represented by two species:the newly describ

This study is a re-assessment of basidiolichen diversity in the Galapagos *** present a molecular phylogenetic analysis,based on 92 specimens from Galapagos,using two nuclear ribosomal DNA markers(ITS and nulSU).We also re-examined the morphology and anatomy of all sequenced *** molecular results confirm our previous assessment that all Galapagos basidiolichens belong to the Dictyonema clade,which in Galapagos is represented by four genera:Acantholichen,cora,Cyphellostereum,and *** species previously reported from Galapagos in these genera were at the time believed to represent widely distributed *** conclusion,however,has changed with the inclusion of molecular *** almost the same number of species is distinguished,the phylogenetic data now suggest that all are restricted to the Galapagos *** them,six species are proposed here as new to science,namely cora galapagoensis,Cyphellostereum unoquinoum,Dictyonema barbatum,***,***,and ***;and four species have already been described previously,namely Acantholichen galapagoensis,cora santacruzensis,Dictyonema pectinatum,and ***,here recombined as Cyphellostereum *** analysis is set on a very broad phylogenetic framework,which includes a large number of specimens(N=826)mainly from Central and South America,and therefore strongly suggests an unusually high level of endemism previously not *** analysis also shows that the closest relatives of half of the basidiolichens now found in Galapagos are from mainland Ecuador,implying that they reached the islands through the shortest route,with all species arriving on the islands through independent colonization events.

Molecular phylogenies using 1–4 gene regions and information on ecology,morphology and pigment chemistry were used in a partial revision of the agaric family *** phylogenetically supported genera we recognize here in the Hygrophoraceae based on these and previous analyses are:Acantholichen,Ampulloclitocybe,Arrhenia,Cantharellula,Cantharocybe,Chromosera,Chrysomphalina,cora,Corella,Cuphophyllus,Cyphellostereum,Dictyonema,Eonema,Gliophorus,Haasiella,Humidicutis,Hygroaster,Hygrocybe,Hygrophorus,lichenomphalia,Neohygrocybe,Porpolomopsis and Pseudoarmillariella.A new genus that is sister to Chromosera is described as *** were made at the ranks of subfamily,tribe,genus,subgenus,section and *** present three new subfamilies,eight tribes(five new),eight subgenera(one new,one new combination and one ***.),26 sections(five new and three new combinations and two ***.)and 14 subsections(two new,two ***.).Species of Chromosera,Gliophorus,Humidicutis,and Neohygrocybe are often treated within the genus Hygrocybe;we therefore provide valid names in both classification *** used a minimalist approach in transferring genera and creating new names and ***,we retain in the Hygrophoraceae the basal cuphophylloid grade comprising the genera Cuphophyllus,Ampulloclitocybe andCantharocybe,despite weak phylogenetic *** include Aeruginospora and Semiomphalina in Hygrophoraceae based on morphology though molecular data are *** lower hygrophoroid clade is basal to Hygrophoraceae s.s.,comprising the genera Aphroditeola,Macrotyphula,Phyllotopsis,Pleurocybella,Sarcomyxa,Tricholomopsis and Typhula.

Hepatic encephalopathy(HE)is a cognitive disturbance characterized by neuropsychiatric *** occurs in acute and chronic hepatic disease and also in patients with portosystemic *** presence of these portosystemic shunts allows the passage of nitrogenous substances from the intestines through systemic veins without liver ***,the embolization of these shunts has been performed tocontrol HE manifestations,but the presence of portal vein thrombosis is considered a *** this presentation we show a cirrhotic patient with severe HE and portal vein thrombosis who was submitted to embolization of a large portosystemic *** report:a 57 years-old cirrhotic patient who had been hospitalized many times for persistent HE and hepatic coma,even without precipitant *** had a wide portosystemic shunt and also portal vein *** abdominal angiography confirmed the splenorenal shunt and showed other *** larger shunt was embolized through placement of microcoils,and the patient had no recurrence of overt *** was a little increase of esophageal and gastric varices,but no endoscopic treatment was *** portosystemic shunts are frequent causes of recurrent HE in cirrhotic patients,portal vein thrombosis should be considered a relative contraindication to perform a shunt ***,in particular cases with many shunts and severe HE,we found that one of these shunts can be safely embolized and this procedure can be sufficient to obtain a good HE *** conclusion,we reported a case of persistent HE due to a wide portosystemic shunt associated with portal vein *** the patient had other shunts,she was successfully treated by embolization of the larger shunt.
