Dust-ion acoustic waves are investigated in this model of plasma consisting of negatively charged dusts, cold ions and inertia less quantum effected electrons with the help of a typical energy integral. In this case, a new technique is applied formulating a differential equation to establish the energy integral in case of multi-component plasmas which is not possible in general. Dust-ion acoustic （DIA） compressive and rarefactive, supersonic and subsonic solitons of various amplitudes are established. The consideration of smaller order nonlinearity in support of the newly established quantum plasma model is observed to generate small amplitude solitons at the decrease of Mach number. The growths of soliton amplitudes and potential depths are found more sensitive to the density of quantum electrons. The small density ratio r（= 1 - f） with a little quantized electrons supplemented by the dust charges Zu and the in-deterministic new quantum parameter c2 are found responsible to finally support the generation of small amplitude solitons admissible for the model.

because catalysis by metals is a surface phenomenon, many technological catalysts contain small (typically nanometre-sired) supported metal particles with a large fraction of the atoms exposed. Many reactions, such as hydrocarbon hydrogenations, are structure-insensitive, proceeding at approximately the same rates on metal particles of various sizes provided that they are larger than 1 nm and show bulk-like metallic behavior. but the catalytic properties are not known when metal particles become so small that their sizes are indium clusters consisting of several indium atoms. Here the catalytic behavior of precisely defined clusters of just four and six indium atoms on solid supports is shown. It is found that the Ir4 and Ir6 clusters differ in catalytic activity both from each other and from metallic Ir particles.

The unsteady magnehydrodynamics （MHD） couette flow of an electrically conducting fluid in a rotating system is investigated by taking the Hall and ion-slip currents into consideration. The derived fundamental equations on the assumption of a small magnetic Reynolds number are solved analytically with the well-known Laplace transform technique. The unified closed-form expressions axe obtained for the velocity and the skin friction in the two different cases of the magnetic field being fixed to either the fluid or the moving plate. The effects of various parameters on the velocity and the skin friction axe discussed by graphs. The results reveal that the primary and secondary velocities increase with the Hall current. An increase in the ion-slip paxameter also leads to an increase in the primary velocity but a decrease in the secondary velocity. It is also shown that the combined effect of the rotation, Hall, and ion-slip parameters determines the contribution of the secondary motion in the fluid flow.

Recently, the bound state solutions of a confined Klein-Gordon particle under the mixed scalar-vector generalized symmetric Woods-Saxon potential in one spatial dimension have been investigated. The obtained results reveal that in the spin symmetric limit discrete spectrum exists, while in the pseudo-spin symmetric limit it does *** this manuscript, new insights and information are given by employing an analogy of the variational principle. The role of the difference of the magnitudes of the vector and scalar potential energies, namely the differentiation parameter,on the energy spectrum is examined. It is observed that the differentiation parameter determines the measure of the energy spectrum density by modifying the confined particle's mass-energy in addition to narrowing the spectrum interval length.

Experimental study of the effect of wear parameters on the wear behaviour of A356 alloy reinforced with cow horn particles(cHp) produced by spark plasma sintering was investigated. Experiments were conducted based on the plan of experiments generated through Taguchi's(L9) technique. Tribometer was used for the wear test and Scanning electron microscope was used to analyse the worn scar of the samples. The results shows that, A356 alloy reinforced with cHp exhibited better dry sliding wear resistance than the unreinforced alloy. Wear rate decreased as the amount of cHp reinforcement increased in the matrix. It was found that, the optimum level of the factors with minimized the wear loss were obtained at: wt%cHp(20%), applied load(10 N), sliding velocity(3 m/s) and sliding distance(2000 m). It can be seen that the wear track of the sample are(D ? 0.81 and L = 42.85 mm) and(D ? 0.54 and L= 27.03 mm) for A356 alloy and composites at optimum condition respectively. The results showed that the addition of cow horn particles as reinforcing materials in A356 alloy composites increased the wear resistance of the composites greatly.
