The novel quaternized hydroxypropyl cellulose-g-poly(THF-co-epichlorohydrin)graft copolymers,HPC-g-QCP(THF-co-ECH),have been successfully synthesized to combine the properties from hydrophilic hard HPC biomacromolecular backbone and hydrophobic flexible polyether ***,the P(THF-co-ECH)living chains were synthesized by cationic ring-opening copolymerization of THF with ***,P(THF-co-ECH)living chains were grafted onto HPC backbone by reaction with-OH groups along HPC to produce HPC-g-P(THF-co-ECH)graft ***,the mentioned graft copolymers were quaternized by reaction with ternanyamine to generate functionalized HPC-g-QCP(THF-co-ECH).The HPC-g-QCP(THF-co-ECH)graft copolymers exhibited good antibacterial ability against *** or *** *** ibuprofen(IBU)-loaded microparticles of HPC-g-(QC)P(THF-co-ECH)graft copolymers were prepared by *** in vitro pH-responsive drug-release behavior of IBU reached up to 75%of drug-loaded at pH=*** quaternized graft copolymer was beneficial to solving the problems of a burst effect and fast release of HPC as drug carriers.

The novel amphiphilic graft copolymers with hydrophilic hard polar hydroxypropyl cellulose(HPC)backbone and hydrophobic soft nonpolar polyisobutylene(PIB)branches have been successfully synthesized through nucleophilic substitution reaction of living PIB chains carrying oxonium ions with the-OH groups along HPC *** PIB branch length in the graft copolymers could be designed by living cationic polymerization and the grafting density could be adjusted by PIB+/-OH molar *** living PIB chains carrying oxonium ion were prepared by transformation of allyl bromide end groups in the presence of AgCI0_(4) and silver nanoparticles(3.2±0.3 nm,0.7 wt%-1.8 wt%)generated in situ from *** phase-separation morphology was formed in the graft copolymers due to their incompatibility between backbone and *** hydrophilicity on the surface of graft copolymer films could be turned to hydrophobicity by increasing grafting density or/and length of PIB *** soft PIB segments in graft copolymers provided an unique surface wa self-assembly for ant卜protein adsorption against bovine serum albumin.A small amount of Ag nanoparticles in the copolymers contributed to good antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli.

The grain size of TiAl alloy castings prepared by traditional casting process is coarse,thus showing poor mechanical *** this study,a new type of high performance Ti-46Al alloy tube prepared by vacuum centrifugal casting technology was *** research comprehensively examined the influence of pouring time on the microstructure and mechanical performance of the castings,employing both experimental approaches and ProCast simulation *** findings indicate that prolonging the pouring time facilitates a microstructural evolution from coarse columnar grains to refined equiaxed *** the condition of pouring temperature of 1,600℃,rotation speed of 800 r·min^(-1) and pouring time of 6 s,the tensile strength of Ti-46Al alloy at room temperature reaches 650 MPa,and the tensile strength at 800℃ reaches 705 MPa,which is significantly higher than that of traditional as-cast Ti-Al alloy.

Why do humans punish free riders at their own expense? This behavior represents an evolutionary puzzle in human societies. This study explores the role of exit strategies in fostering altruistic punishment within evolutionary game theory. We extend the traditional prisoner's dilemma model by incorporating exiters, players who opt out for a small payoff while nullifying their opponent's payoff, and altruistic punishers who cooperate and punish non-cooperators. Our findings indicate that in well-mixed populations, exiters destabilize defection but do not promote altruistic punishment. In social networks, however,exiters enable altruistic punishment via cyclic dominance among altruistic punishers, defectors, and exiters. Notably, this cyclic dominance is sensitive to exit payoffs; adjustments can lead to cyclic dominance of non-punishing cooperators, defectors, and exiters, or to a bi-stable state between these two types of cyclic dominance. These results highlight the nuanced impact of exiters on altruistic punishment, emphasizing the need for careful incentivization of exit behavior. While exiters can support altruistic punishment in networked populations, their effectiveness is not a panacea and is highly sensitive to exit payoffs, indicating limits to the voluntary participation mechanism.

Constructing electrocatalytic overall reaction technology to couple the electrosynthesis of adipic acid with energy-saving hydrogen production is of significant for sustainable energy ***,the development of highly-active bifunctional electrocatalysts remains a ***,3D hierarchical nickel-copper alloying arrays with dendritic morphology are manufactured by a simple electrodeposition process,standing for the excellent bifunctional electrocatalyst towards the co-production of adipic acid and H2from cyclohexanone and *** membrane-free flow electrolyzer of Cu0.81Ni0.19/NF shows the superior electrooxidation performance of ketone-alcohol（KA） oil with high faradaic efficiencies of over 90% for adipic acid and H2,robust stability over 200 h as well as a high yield of 0.6 mmol h-1for adipic acid at 100 mA ***-situ spectroscopy indicates the Cu0.81Ni0.19alloy contributes to forming more active NiOOH species to involve in the conversion of cyclohexanone to adipic acid,while the proposed reaction pathway undergoes the 2-hydroxycyclohexanone and 2,7-oxepanedione ***,the theoretical calculations confirm that the optimal electronic interaction,boosted reaction kinetics as well as improved adsorption free energy of reaction intermediates,synergistically endows Cu0.81Ni0.19alloy with superior bifunctional performance.

Mn-based layered oxides（KMO） have emerged as one of the promising low-cost cathodes for potassiumion batteries（PIBs）.However,due to the multiple-phase transitions and the distortion in the MnO6structure induced by the Jahn-Teller（JT） effect associated with Mn-ion,the cathode exhibits poor structural ***,we propose a strategy to enhance structural stability by introducing robust metal-oxygen（M-O） bonds,which can realize the pinning effect to constrain the distortion in the transition metal（TM） ***,all the elements employed have exceptionally high crustal *** a proof of concept,the designed K0.5Mn0.9Mg0.025Ti0.025Al0.05O2cathode exhibited a discharge capacity of approximately 100 mA h g-1at 20 mA g-1with 79% capacity retention over 50 cycles,and 73% capacity retention over 200 cycles at 200 mA g-1,showcased much better battery performance than the designed cathode with less robust M-O *** properties of the formed M-O bonds were investigated using theoretical *** enhanced dynamics,mitigated JT effect,and improved structural stability were elucidated through the in-situ X-ray diffractometer（XRD）,in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）(and distribution of relaxation times（DRT） method),and ex-situ X-ray absorption fine structure（XAFS） *** study holds substantial reference value for the future design of costeffective Mn-based layered cathodes for PIBs.

The development of dual functional material for cyclic CO_(2)capture and hydrogenation is of great significance for converting diluted CO_(2)into valuable fuels,but suffers from kinetic limitation and deactivation of adsorbent and ***,we engineered a series of RuNa/γ-Al_(2)O_(3)materials,varying the size of ruthenium from single atoms to clusters/*** coordination environment and structure sensitivity of ruthenium were quantitatively investigated at atomic *** findings reveal that the reduced Ru nanoparticles,approximately 7.1 nm in diameter with a Ru-Ru coordination number of 5.9,exhibit high methane formation activity and selectivity at 340°*** Ru-Na interfacial sites facilitate CO_(2)migration through a deoxygenation pathway,involving carbonate dissociation,carbonyl formation,and ***-situ experiments and theoretical calculations show that stable carbonyl intermediates on metallic Ru nanoparticles facilitate heterolytic C–O scission and C–H bonding,significantly lowering the energy barrier for activating stored CO_(2).

Tungsten and its oxides are highly versatile catalysts with unique properties that hold great promise for a wide array of applications,including biological pathways and chemical *** chemo-catalysis of cellulose to ethanol presents a promising avenue for ethanol synthesis with the potential for enhanced efficiency compared to conventional methods,offering a sustainable and carbon-neutral alternative to existing petrochemical and biological ***,Ir/WOxcatalysts enriched with oxygen vacancies were meticulously prepared and demonstrated remarkable catalytic performance in converting cellulose to ethanol directly in the presence of tungstic *** catalyst achieved a high ethanol yield of 66.5%under optimal reaction conditions,approaching the theoretical yield limit of traditional ethanol *** results revealed the presence of oxygen defects,Bronsted/Lewis acidity,and Ir nanoclusters on the catalyst surface,working synergistically to facilitate the cascade catalysis of cellulose hydrolysis,sugar retro-aldol condensation reaction,and C2 intermediate hydrodeoxygenation to *** situ Fourier transform infrared spectrometer analysis confirmed the catalyst's ability to enhance the adsorption and activation of ethylene glycol for ethanol *** manipulating subtle structural features,this study offers a fresh perspective on tungsten group catalyst design and underscores the importance of synergistic effects among catalytic sites for the efficient production of ethanol from cellulose.

The use of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)composite in the design of lightweight protective equipment,has gained a lot of ***,there is an urgent need to understand the ballistic response mechanism and theoretical prediction model of *** paper explores the ballistic response mechanism of UHMWPE composite through experimental and simulation ***,a resistance-driven modeling method was proposed to establish a theoretical model for predicting the bulletproof *** ballistic response mechanism of UHMWPE composite encompassed three fundamental modes:local response,structural response,and coupled *** occurrence ratio of these fundamental response modes during impact was dependent on the projectile velocity and laminate *** bulletproof performance of laminate under different response modes was assessed based on the penetration depth of the projectile,the bulging height on the rear face of the laminate,the thickness of remaining sub-laminate,and residual velocity of the *** absolute deviations of bulletproof performance indicator between theoretical value and experimental value were well within 11.13%,demonstrating that the established evaluation model possessed high degree of prediction accuracy.
