The Infectious hypodermal and hematopoietic necrosis virus(IHHNV) and Taura syndrome virus(TSV) are two important shrimp viruses in cultured shrimp in *** two viruses were transmitted to China at the beginning of the 21st *** this study,214 shrimp samples of Penaeus vannamei were collected from seven different areas of China and tested by PCR for IHHNV and TSV *** results showed that there were a high prevalence of IHHNV(65.42%) and low prevalence of TSV(3.27%) in the tested *** samples were found to be co-infected with these two viruses.A 3 kb fragment of 7 positive IHHNV samples and a structure protein region(ORF2) of three TSV positive samples were amplified and *** sequence comparison indicated that both IHHNV and TSV sequenced in China have a low genetic variations compared with the prototype IHHNV and TSV from *** analysis showed that TSV isolates were clustered into two groups,Asia and America group,which was genetically correlated to geographic distribution.

The nucleocapsid protein(N) is a major structural protein of coronaviruses. The N protein of bat SARS-like coronavirus(SL-CoV) has a high similarity with that of SARS-CoV. In this study,the SL-CoV N protein was expressed in Escherichia coli,purified and used as antigen. An Indirect Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay(indirect EliSA) was developed for detection of SARS-or SL-CoV infections in bat populations. The detection of 573 bat sera with this indirect EliSA demonstrated that SL-CoVs consistently circulate in Rhinilophus species,further supporting the proposal that bats are natural reservoirs of SL-CoVs. This method uses 1-2 μl of serum sample and can be used for preliminary screening of infections by SARS-or SL-CoV with a small amount of serum sample.

A novel series of main chain liquid crystalline copolyesters with X-shaped two-dimensional mesogenic unit and crown ether cycle of cis-4,4＇-bis（4-hydroxyphenylazo） dibenzo-18-crown-6 was prepared via solution condensation polymerization from 4,4＇-（a;arhexanedioyloxy） dibenzoyl dichloride （MI）, 2,5-bis（p-octyloxybenzoyloxy） hydro-quinone （M2） and cis-4,4＇-bis（4-hydroxyphenylazo） dibenzo-18-crown-6 （M3）. Monomer MI was synthesized by esterification and substitution of adipoyl chloride with p-hydroxybenzoic acid, monomer M2 was synthesized by esterfication and reduction reaction of 2,5-dihydroxybenzoquinone and p-octanoxybenzoyl chloride and monomer M3 was synthesized by diazotization and coupling reaction of cis-diaminodibenzo-18-crown-6 with phenol. The molecular weights of copolyesters are not high, and the intrinsic viscosity [η] of copolyesters ranges from 0.25-0.35. The monomers＇ structures were identified by using elemental analysis, IR, UV, ^1H-NMR, MS, etc. All the copolyesters are yellowish powders and insoluble in THF and CHC13 at room temperature except cPg. The properties of copolyesters were investigated by using GPC, [η] , DSC, TG, WAXD and POM. It was found that all the copolyesters entered into liquid crystal phase when they were heated to above their melting temperature （Tin）. The typical smectic and nematic phase texture can be observed on POM. Their mesophase transition temperature and thermal stability change regularly with varying the content of cis-4,4＇-bis（4-hydroxyphenylazo） dibenzo-18-crown-6 unit in the copolyesters.

Two new oleanane-type triterpenoids, parvifolactone A(1) and rubuside P(2), together with 11 known triterpenoids, fupenzic acid(3), 18,19-seco,2α,3α-dihydroxyl-19-oxo-urs-11,13(18)-dien-28-oic acid(4), euscaphic acid(5), maslinic acid(6), 1β-hydroxyeuscaphic acid(7), 2α,3α,19α,23-tetrahydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid(8), 2α,3β,19α,23-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid(9), glucosyl pinfaensate(10), rubuside J(11), 2α,3α,19α,23-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-24,28-dioic acid(12), and 2α,3β,19α- trihydroxyurs-12-en-23,28-dioic acid(13), were isolated from the roots of Rubus parvifolius.

On Jan.31 of 2010,the Suining earthquake occurred at Suining City whch is located the center of Sichuan *** is unusual for the strong earthquake to occur at the center of Sichuan Basin with a stable geotectonic environment and a low-level historical *** macro-epicenter of the earthquake is located at Moxi town of Suining city,Sichuan province,*** earthquake intensity of the epicenter area is degree VII,and the long axis of the isoseismal line trends in NE *** Suining earthquake caused the collapse or destruction of 460 family *** earthquake focal mechanism solution and records of the near-field seismographic stations showed the earthquake occurred at the reverse fault at a depth 34 *** on the waveform and focal mechanism,we consider the Suning earthquake is triggered by the reverse fault and not by the gravitational collapse or man-made explosive *** on seismic refraction profile and borehole,we consider that the earthquake is triggered by the backthrust fault of Moxi anticline rooted in detachments at a depth 3-4 ***,we infer that tectonic mechanism of the Suining(Ms5.0) Earthquake is driven by the horizontal crustal shortening and stress adjustment on a shallow detachment after the Wenchuan(Ms 8.0) earthquake.

Tea is the world＇s oldest and most popular caffeine-containing beverage with immense economic, medicinal, and cultural importance. Here, we present the first high-quality nucleotide sequence of the repeat-rich （80.9%）, 3.02-Gb genome of the cultivated tea tree Camellia sinensis. We show that an extraordinarily large genome size of tea tree is resulted from the slow, steady, and long-term amplification of a few LTR retrotransposon families. In addition to a recent whole-genome duplication event, lineage-specific expansions of genes associated with flavonoid metabolic biosynthesis were discovered, which enhance catechin production, terpene enzyme activation, and stress tolerance, important features for tea flavor and adaptation. We demonstrate an independent and rapid evolution of the tea caffeine synthesis pathway relative to cacao and coffee. A comparative study among 25 Camellia species revealed that higher expression levels of most flavonoid- and caffeinebut not theanine-related genes contribute to the increased production of catechins and caffeine and thus enhance tea-processing suitability and tea quality. These novel findings pave the way for further metabolomic and functional genomic refinement of characteristic biosynthesis pathways and will help develop a more diversified set of tea flavors that would eventually satisfy and attract more tea drinkers worldwide.

The continually-discovered large volumes of marine hydrocarbons indicate a huge exploration potential within the carbonate rocks of Ordovician in the Tarim Basin,northwestern *** Middle-Upper Ordovician(O2+3)carbonate source rocks are at a highly mature *** rocks presently contain a low amount of total organic carbon(TOC_(pd)≤0.5%)(TOC_(pd) means the present-day TOC).A mass balance approach is used to identify the source rocks that have expelled *** characteristics and origin of hydrocarbon expulsion from low-TOC_(pd) source rocks are studied,which are significant for oil exploration in the *** results showed that a low-TOC_(pd) O2+3 source rock having expelled hydrocarbons was type I and had a very narrow oil *** a high rock maturity and a high original TOC(TOCo)value exceeding 1%,nearly 80%of the generated hydrocarbons were *** content of gammacerane and C28 steranes in the oil and source rock extracts were relatively lean,with a V-shaped distribution of regular steranes,suggesting a possible genetic relation between the low-TOC_(pd) source rocks and the marine oil in the Tabei *** planktonic algae or acritarchs were the main hydrocarbon parent materials,distributed in the subsiding platform-slope *** matter was preserved under reducing conditions,and source rocks were formed with a favorable kerogen type and a moderate hydrocarbon generation *** study illustrates the hydrocarbon expulsion of low TOC_(pd) source rocks in northern Tarim Basin,which is greatly significant for analyzing the genesis of marine crude oil in Tarim Basin,and evaluating the distribution of marine source *** research method is theoretically significant for oil and gas exploration in the same type of highlymature carbonate paleobasins.
