The ideal treatment modality for metastatic cancer would be a local treatment that can destroy primary tumors while inducing an effective systemic anti-tumor *** this end,we de-veloped laser immunotherapy,combining photothermal laser application with an immunoadju-vant for the treatment of metastatic ***,to enhance the selective photothermal effect,we integrated light-absorbing nanomaterials into this innovative ***,we developed an immunologically modified carbon nanotube combining single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)with the immunoadjuvant glycated chitosan(GC).To determine the ef-fectiveness of laser iradiation,a series of experiments were performed using two different irra-diation durations-5 and 10 *** were inoculated with DMBA-4 cancer cells,a metastatic cancer cell *** treatment group of rats receiving laser irradiation for 10 min had a 50%long-term survival rate without residual primary or metastatic *** treatment group of rats receiving laser irradiation for 5 min had no long-term survivors;all rats died with multiple metastases at several distant ***,Laser+SWNT-GC treatment with 10 min of laser irradiation proved to be efective at reducing tumor size and inducing long-term anti-tumor immunity.

Comparisons of oxbow lake fish assemblages in relation to bigheaded carp establishment in the lower White River, Arkansas

Background Since the late 1990s, bigheaded carps(largely silver carp [Hypophthalmichthys molitrix] but also bighead carp [H. nobilis]) have established throughout the lower Mississippi River basin. Using previously studied oxbow lakes in the lower White River basin, Arkansas, we compared current(2017, “post-carp” establishment) fish assemblages to historical(2002, “pre-carp” establishment) fish assemblages. fish assemblages were comprehensively assessed using multiple gears, including boat electrofishing, mini-fyke nets, and experimental small-mesh gill *** T-tests suggested that fish assemblage indices of richness, diversity, evenness, and dominance were often greater(P flected by boat electrofishing and experimental gill nets. However, all indices were generally similar(P > 0.05) between the pre-carp and post-carp period with fish assemblages depicted using mini-fyke nets. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling analyses indicated that fish assemblages differed structurally between pre-carp and post-carp periods. Assemblage differences were linked to both small and large abundance changes for more than 20 species. Abundances of gizzard shad(Dorosoma cepedianum), emerald shiner(Notropis atherinoides), pugnose minnow(Opsopoeodus emiliae), crappies(Pomoxis spp.), bluegill(Lepomis macrochirus), orangespotted sunfish(L. humilis), and yellow bass(Morone mississippiensis) declined between the pre-carp and postcarp periods. In this work,impact of low level of uranium(U)atom substitution on thermal conductivity of thorium dioxide(ThO_(2))is ***_(2)is an electronic insulator with a wide optical band-gap and no unpaired electrons whose thermal transport is governed by phonons.U-substitution introduces unpaired f-electrons resulting in paramagnetic behavior of UeThO_(2)at room temperature,which significantly suppresses its thermal conductivity.A single crystal of UeThO_(2)with graded composition of U is grown using a hydrothermal synthesis method,and thermal conductivity measurements are performed in re-gions with uniform composition of U at levels of 0%,6%,9%and 16%.Measured thermal conductivity profiles over 77e300 K temperature range are analyzed using an analytical expression for phonon-mediated thermal transport based on Klemens-Callaway *** dependent thermal con-ductivity is found to deviate significantly from the Rayleigh scattering trend expected for a simple substitutional point defect with a small perturbation to mass and interatomic *** the resonant scattering term,observed large suppression of thermal conductivity at low temperatures can be closely ***,the extracted phonon-spin coupling constants imply a nonlinear relation of phonon-spin interaction intensity with respect to U doping *** study reveals how phonon-spin scattering contributed by unpaired f-electrons in U atoms influences thermal transport in the UeThO_(2)system.

Evaluation of UAV-derived multimodal remote sensing data for biomass prediction and drought tolerance assessment in bioenergy sorghum

Screening for drought tolerance is critical to ensure high biomass production of bioenergy sorghum in arid or semi-arid environments. The bottleneck in drought tolerance selection is the challenge of accurately predicting biomass for a large number of genotypes. Although biomass prediction by lowaltitude remote sensing has been widely investigated on various crops, the performance of the predictions are not consistent, especially when applied in a breeding context with hundreds of genotypes. In some cases, biomass prediction of a large group of genotypes benefited from multimodal remote sensing data;while in other cases, the benefits were not obvious. In this study, we evaluated the performance of single and multimodal data(thermal, RGB, and multispectral) derived from an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) for biomass prediction for drought tolerance assessments within a context of bioenergy sorghum breeding. The biomass of 360 sorghum genotypes grown under well-watered and water-stressed regimes was predicted with a series of UAV-derived canopy features, including canopy structure, spectral reflectance, and thermal radiation features. Biomass predictions using canopy features derived from the multimodal data showed comparable performance with the best results obtained with the single modal data with coefficients of determination(R2) ranging from 0.40 to 0.53 under water-stressed environment and0.11 to 0.35 under well-watered environment. The significance in biomass prediction was highest with multispectral followed by RGB and lowest with the thermal sensor. finally, two well-recognized yieldbased drought tolerance indices were calculated from ground truth biomass data and UAV predicted biomass, respectively. Results showed that the geometric mean productivity index outperformed the yield stability index in terms of the potential for reliable predictions by the remotely sensed ***, this study demonstrated a promising strategy for the use of different UAV-bas

Influence of harvest date on seed yield and quality in forage kochia

forage kochia(Bassia prostrata) is used for rangeland reclamation and livestock and wildlife forage,but limited research has been conducted on its seed production. Therefore, this research evaluated the effect of harvest date on seed weight, germination, and seed yield of forage kochia subspecies virescens and grisea. Seed was harvested from individual plants for 3 years during October, November, and December. October harvest had the lightest 100-seed weights, with the November harvest slightly heavier than December, for most *** Snowstorm and breeding line Sahsel, both subsp. grisea, had the greatest 100-seed weights in November, 155 and 143 mg, respectively, whereas, ***(subsp. virescens), the standard for forage kochia, ranked among the least for 100-seed weight. for most accessions, germination was lowest from the October harvest(11%–43%), with greater germination with November and December harvested seeds(43%–64%).Viable seed yields were greatest in November with the exception of two accessions, which peaked in October,indicating earlier maturity. Results indicate that forage kochia usually reaches optimum seed maturity by early November, after plants are exposed to freezing temperatures; however, earlier maturing accessions exist in both subspecies virescens and grisea.

Molecular graphics can be thought of as a window to the computer through which the chemist expresses ideas for computational evaluation and receives results in an understandable form. furthermore, with beautiful graphic images it can give out the realistic molecular model like a real thing in real *** has various properties including volume, electronic, van der Waals forces, etc. These properties are very important to understand the molecular world. So if the virtual reality tools are used, then the imaginary world can be studied intuitively by touching and feeling a tremendous amount of *** chemistry generates such amount of molecular property data through supercomputing with molecular simulation experiment. One of the objects to investigate the molecular world is to understand the intermolecular interaction such as drug-receptor interaction. Another thing is to measure the geometrical data in molecular architecture. Virtual reality system provides the easiest way to meet these objects. This kind of simple system changes a numerical data set, which is very difficult to deal with, into a visible and understandable data set. Recently two functions of such a system were improved to get an insight into biomolecular interaction. The first one is a real time force generation during navigation in macromolecular environment. An cylindrical arrow shows the magnitude and direction of molecular force. The second one is to see a moIecular vibration such as a concerted motion of the binding site in protein molecule. So one can understand the molecular shape change for drugreceptor docking procedure. But some problems which are difficult to solve still remain.

目的建立MR关节软骨自旋锁定旋转坐标系中的自旋-晶格弛豫时间（T1ρ）三维成像技术和量化分析方法。方法用7．0TMR机和内径为6cm的圆柱形鸟笼23Na—H射频线圈，采用自旋锁定自动补偿脉冲簇和三维自旋回波序列，自旋锁定时间（spin—lockingtime，TSL）分别为0、10、20、30、40和50ms，自旋锁定频率带宽为440Hz（自旋锁定磁场BSL），对6个不同浓度（1％～6％）琼脂糖凝胶体模和8个猪髌骨分别进行自旋锁定T1ρ成像扫描，建立自旋锁定T1ρ成像技术并评价其重复性。在VnmrJ图像终端上，利用自行编制的软件进行三维重组自旋锁定T1ρWI，并重构T1ρ弛豫时间图；采用人工标注的方法画感兴趣区，分别测定体模与髌骨软骨T1ρWI的信噪比（SNR）与T1ρ值。T1ρ值在各组间的对比，行单因素方差分析；软骨组织与琼脂糖体模SNR随时间对比关系的假设检验，行多因素方差分析。结果关节软骨T1ρWI的SNR值、短自旋锁定时间采集图像的SNR值明显高于长自旋锁定时间采集的图像。在不同自旋锁定时间髌骨软骨T1ρWI，SNR值在48±8～95±8之间；不同自旋锁定时间，正常软骨SNR与1％琼脂糖体模的对比关系不同，当自旋锁定时间〈30ms时，琼脂糖体模的图像SNR均低于正常软骨；〉30ms时，正常软骨的图像SNR均低于1％的琼脂糖体模。随着琼脂糖浓度减少，不同自旋锁定时间采集的图像SNR值逐渐增加。各浓度琼脂糖凝胶体模T1ρWI值测量的变异系数均小于10％，显示重复性好。髌骨关节软骨全层、表层、中间层、深层、钙化层T1ρ值测定结果分别为（68．9±6．3）、（80．7±12．8）、（65．7±7．0）、（82．4±7．7）、（69．7±6．4）ms（f=6．436，P〈0．05）。T1ρ值在软骨表层和深层明显高于中间层、钙化层和软骨全层。结论三维自旋锁定T1ρ成像技术是可行的、敏感的、特异的软骨分子成像技术，T1ρ弛豫时间图可量化测量关节软骨的分层状结构。

Through ingestion and subsequent egestion,Arctic seabirds can bioaccumulate microplastics at and around their colony breeding *** microplastics in Arctic seabirds have been well documented,it is not yet understood to what extent these particles can act as transport vehicles for plastic-associated contaminants,including legacy persistent organic pollutants(POPs),trace metals,and organic *** investigated the occurrence and pattern of organic and inorganic co-contaminants of microplastics in two seabird species from the Canadian Arctic-northern fulmar(fulmarus glacialis)and black-legged kittiwake(Rissa tridactyla).We found that fulmars had higher levels of plastic contamination and emerging organic compounds(known to be plastic additives)than kittiwakes,whereas higher concentrations of legacy POPs were found in kittiwakes than the ***,fulmars,the species with the much larger foraging range(~200 km),had higher plastic pollution and overall contaminant burdens,indicating that birds may be acting as long-range transport vectors for plasticassociated *** results suggest a potential connection between plastic additive contamination and plastic pollution burdens in the bird stomachs,highlighting the importance of treating plastic particles and plastic-associated organic additives as co-contaminants rather than separate pollution issues.

本文中,应用两种不同方法预测了怀俄明州粉河盆地内cody页岩Steele段的热成熟度和生烃时间,一类为直接测定法,包括镜质体反射率、最大生烃温度和生产指数;另一类是模拟预测法,包括时间温度指数模型和动力学模型。直接测定结果表明,steele段是不成熟的,但仅在至今10Ma之后开始生烃;而模拟预测结果认为,该段的生烃时间为至今47～40Ma。由于各种方法本身固有的缺陷,看来很难说哪一种方法最好。根据五种方法预测结果,似乎真正的成熟期和生烃时间应在距今30～15Ma之间,或者介于五种方法预测出的两个峰值期之间。实测研究表明,使用尽可能多的方法有助于获得最佳的热成熟度估计。
