Solar vapor generation(SVC)represents a promising technique for seawater desalination to alleviate the global water crisis and energy *** of its main bottleneck problems is that the evaporation efficiency and stability are limited by salt crystallization under high-salinity ***,we demonstrate that the 3D porous melamine-foam(MF)wrapped by a type of self-assembling composite materials based on reduced polyoxometalates(*** blue,HPB),oleic acid(OA),and polypyrrole(PPy)(labeled with MF@HPB-PPy_(n)-OA)can serve as efficient and stable SVC material at high *** characterizations of MF@HPB-PPy_(n)-OA indicate that both hydrophilic region of HPBs and hydrophobic region of OA co-exist on the surface of composite materials,optimizing the hydrophilic and hydrophobic interfaces of the SVC materials,and fully exerting its functionality for ultrahigh water-evaporation and anti-salt *** optimal MF@HPB-PPy_(10)-OA operates continuously and stably for over 100 h in 10wt%***,MF@HPB-PPy_(10)-OA accomplishes complete salt-water separation of 10wt%brine with 3.3kgm^(-2)h^(-1)under 1-sun irradiation,yielding salt harvesting efficiency of 96.5%,which belongs to the record high of high-salinity systems reported so far and is close to achieving zero liquid ***,the low cost of MF@HPB-PPy_(10)-OA(2.56$m^(-2))suggests its potential application in the practical SVC technique.

Particle-fluid transport and placement mechanism in tortuous fracture played a crucial role in uncon-ventional ***,most studies focused on mono-size proppant with fluid transport pro-cesses in tortuous ***,the mixture-size proppant with fluid movement mechanism in tortuous fracture was still ***,this study designed and applied a series of experiments with a physical analog model of a tortuous fracture with 120°and 90°-angled bends and combined high-speed camera-based *** experimental system was used to track different-mixture-sized proppant particle motion trajectories for a series of proppant injection schemes;The following conclu-sions were drawn from this study:*** pile-up processes mechanism in all investigated schemes were similar and could be reduced to four main *** packing structure at both sides of the fracture wall had different variation rates,which were controlled by the mix ratio(change from 1∶1-1∶5)of proppant *** new packing patterns,such as Zebra Stripe,had occurred,controlled by the different proppant injection ***-sized mono-proppant(30/50 mesh)had the highest transport efficiency in the tortuous fracture,followed by the mixed-sized multi-proppant(10/20 mesh:30/50 mesh),large-sized proppant(10/20 mesh)was the *** optimized alternating in-jection mode was recommended as injecting small-sized proppant first(30/50 mesh)and followed by mixed-sized multi-proppant(10/20 mesh:30/50 mesh),which could contribute to obtaining the optimal both proppant packing height and travel distance in tortuous *** correlations were devel-oped for predicting the proppant packing height and transportation distance.

The natural gas hydrate has become one of the most promising future green energy sources on the *** natural gas hydrates mostly exist in the sediments with porous structure, so a solid understanding of the hydrate formation and growth processes in the porous medium is of significance for the exploitation of natural gas hydrate. The micro-packed bed device is one of the efficient microfluidic devices in the engineering field, but it has been rarely used for the hydrate-based research. In this study, a transparent micro-packed bed device filled with glass beads was developed to mimic the porous condition of sediments, and used to in-situ visualize the hydrate formation and growth habits in the pore spaces under both static and dynamic conditions. For the static experiment, two types of hydrate growth patterns in porous medium were observed and identified in the micro-packed bed device, which were the graincoating growth and pore-filling growth. For the dynamic condition, the hydrate formation, growth,distribution habits and hydrate blockage phenomena in the pore spaces were in-situ visually *** impacts of flowrate and subcooling on the pressure variation of the micro-packed bed and the duration of the hydrate growth under dynamic flow condition in pores were in-situ monitored and analyzed. The higher flowrate could result in the faster hydrate growth and more severe blockage in pores, but the effect of subcooling condition might be less significant at the high flowrate.

An in-house code,coNTHAC-3D,was developed to calculate and analyze thermal-hydraulic phenomena in containments during severe ***-3D is a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics code that can be applied to predict gas flow,diffusion,and steam condensation in a containment during a severe hypothetical accident,as well as to obtain an estimate of the local hydrogen concentration in various zones of the ***-3D was developed using multiple models to simulate the features of the proprietary systems and equipment of HPR1000 and ACP100,such as the passive cooling system,passive autocatalytic recombiners and the passive air cooling *** validate coNTHAC-3D,a GX6 test was performed at the Battelle Model containment *** hydrogen concentration and temperature monitored by the GX6 test are accurately predicted by ***,the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment during a severe accident was *** results show that the hydrogen removal rates calculated using coNTHAC-3D for different types of PARs agree well with the theoretical values,with an error of less than 1%.As the accident progresses,the hydrogen concentration in the lower compartment becomes higher than that in the large space,which implies that the lower compartment has a higher hydrogen risk than the dome and large space at a later stage of the *** amount of hydrogen removed by the PARs placed on the floor of the compartment is small;therefore,raising the installation height of these recombiners appropriately is ***,we do not recommend installing all autocatalytic recombiners at high *** study findings in regard to the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment indicate that coNTHAC-3D can be applied to the study of hydrogen risk containment.

Gas hydrate drilling expeditions in the Pearl River Mouth Basin,South China Sea,have identified concentrated gas hydrates with variable ***,free gas and the coexistence of gas hydrate and free gas have been confirmed by logging,coring,and production tests in the foraminifera-rich silty sediments with complex bottom-simulating reflectors(BSRs).The broad-band processing is conducted on conventional three-dimensional(3D)seismic data to improve the image and detection accuracy of gas hydratebearing layers and delineate the saturation and thickness of gas hydrate-and free gas-bearing *** geophysical attributes extracted along the base of the gas hydrate stability zone are used to demonstrate the variable distribution and the controlling factors for the differential enrichment of gas *** inverted gas hydrate saturation at the production zone is over 40% with a thickness of 90 m,showing the interbedded distribution with different boundaries between gas hydrate-and free gas-bearing ***,the gas hydrate saturation value at the adjacent canyon is 70%,with 30-m-thick patches and linear *** lithological and fault controls on gas hydrate and free gas distributions are demonstrated by tracing each gas hydrate-bearing ***,the BSR depths based on broad-band reprocessed 3D seismic data not only exhibit variations due to small-scale topographic changes caused by seafloor sedimentation and erosion but also show the upward shift of BSR and the blocky distribution of the coexistence of gas hydrate and free gas in the Pearl River Mouth Basin.

The development of spectroscopic survey telescopes like Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST),Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment and Sloan Digital Sky Survey has opened up unprecedented opportunities for stellar *** types of stars,such as early-type emission-line stars and those with stellar winds,can be distinguished by the profiles of their spectral *** this paper,we introduce a method based on derivative spectroscopy(DS)designed to detect signals within complex backgrounds and provide a preliminary estimation of curve *** method exhibits a unique advantage in identifying weak signals and unusual spectral line profiles when compared to other popular line detection *** validated our approach using synthesis spectra,demonstrating that DS can detect emission signals three times fainter than Gaussian ***,we applied our method to 579,680 co-added spectra from LAMOST Medium-Resolution Spectroscopic Survey,identifying 16,629 spectra with emission peaks around the Hαline from 10,963 *** spectra were classified into three distinct morphological groups,resulting in nine subclasses as follows.(1)Emission peak above the pseudo-continuum line(single peak,double peaks,emission peak situated within an absorption line,P Cygni profile,Inverse P Cygni profile);(2)Emission peak below the pseudo-continuum line(sharp emission peak,double absorption peaks,emission peak shifted to one side of the absorption line);(3)Emission peak between the pseudo-continuum line.

Intelligent electronic devices(IEDs)are interconnected via communication networks and play pivotal roles in transmitting grid-related operational data and executing control *** the context of the heightened security challenges within smart grids,IEDs pose significant risks due to inherent hardware and software vulner-abilities,as well as the openness and vulnerability of communication *** grid security,distinct from traditional internet security,mainly relies on monitoring network security events at the platform layer,lacking an effective assessment mechanism for ***,we incorporate considerations for both cyber-attacks and physical faults,presenting security assessment indicators and methods specifically tailored for ***,we outline the security monitoring technology for IEDs,considering the necessary data sources for their security ***,we classify IEDs and establish a comprehensive security monitoring index system,incorporating factors such as running states,network traffic,and abnormal *** index system contains 18 indicators in 3 ***,we elucidate quantitative methods for various indicators and propose a hybrid security assessment method known as GRCW-hybrid,combining grey relational analysis(GRA),analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and entropy weight method(EWM).According to the proposed assessment method,the security risk level of IEDs can be graded into 6 levels,namely 0,1,2,3,4,and *** higher the level,the greater the security ***,we assess and simulate 15 scenarios in 3 categories,which are based on monitoring indicators and real-world situations encountered by *** results show that calculated security risk level based on the proposed assessment method are consistent with actual ***,the reasonableness and effectiveness of the proposed index system and assessment method are validated.

The wind–thermal bundled power system achieves energy complementarity and optimized scheduling, which is an important way to build a new type of energy system. For the safe and stable operation of the wind–thermal bundled power system, accurate data-driven analysis is necessary to maintain real-time balance between electricity supply and demand. By summarizing the development and characteristics of wind–thermal bundled power system in China and different countries, current research in this field can be clearly defined in two aspects: short-term wind power prediction for wind farms and performance evaluation of automatic generation control (AGC) for thermal power generation units. For short-term wind power prediction, it is recommended to focus on historical data preprocessing and artificial intelligence methods. The technical characteristics of different data-driven wind power prediction methods have been compared in detail. For performance evaluation of AGC units, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on current evaluation methods, including the “permitted-band” and “regulation mileage” methods, as well as the issue of evaluation failure in traditional evaluation methods in practical engineering. Finally, the relative optimal dynamic performance of AGC units was discussed and the future trend of data-driven research in wind–thermal bundled power system was summarized.

The corrosion mechanism of 510L low alloy steel treated by acid-cleaned surface(ACS)and eco-pickled surface(EPS)techniques in three simulated solutions(S0:atmospheric environment;S1:soil environment;S2:industrial environment)and the influence of interaction between different corrosive anions on corrosion were *** results show that the total corrosion rates of samples in three simulated solutions were in order of S2>S0>S1,which is simultaneously correlated with initial corrosion dissolution processes as well as after the formation of corrosion ***3−will inhibit the initial corrosion owing to the formation of films,whereas HSO3−will accelerate the dissolutions of the matrix based on the synergistic action of HSO3−and Cl−.On the other hand,there is no significant difference in corrosion rates between the samples treated by ACS and EPS *** EPS technique that is safe,reusable and environmentally friendly can be further widely used in future work.

Oxidation resistance enhancement of pure Ti often comes at the cost of reduced ductility,which is frequently the problem through alloying with sole Al,Si,W,Mo and *** overcome the short coming of single element alloying,this paper proposes a multi-element low-alloying strategy to take advantage of synergistic effects and resolve the conflict between oxidation resistance and *** demonstrates that the addition of a small quantity of Ta(0.51wt%)can boost both oxidation resistance and ductility in comparison to pure ***,the combined addition of a small amount(0.54 wt%)of Ta,Nb and Si not only preserves good ductility of pure Ti,but also reduces mass gains to 14%-67%of pure Ti during 100 h oxidation at 650-850℃in *** indicates even better oxidation resistance than that obtained through the use of Ta,Nb,or Nb+Ta *** Ta+Nb+Si alloying creates an oxide layer that is less porous and more resistant to stratification and ***,a 3-μm N-rich layer can form in the Ti substrate beneath the oxide scale,in which phase transformation generates coherent Ti_(2)N with(0001)_(Ti)as the habit plane,with N atoms prefers to diffuse along■than along[0001]_(Ti).The completely transformed Ti_(2)N region or partially transformed Ti+Ti_(2)N region can effectively impede oxygen ***,the multielement low-alloying strategy is promising for enhancing both oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of metallic materials in the future.
