AIM To evaluate the r.lation b.tween 12 polymor.hisms and the development of gastr.c cancer.GC) and color.ctal cancer.Cr.).METHODS In this study,we included 125 individuals with GC diagnosis,66 individuals with Cr. diagnosis and 475 cancer.fr.e individuals. All par.icipants r.sided in the Nor.h r.gion of b.azil and author.zed the use of their.samples. The 12 polymor.hisms(in CASP8,CYP2 E1,CYP19 A1,IL1 A,IL4,MDM2,NFKb.,PAr.,TP53,TYMS,UGT1 A1 and Xr.C1 genes) wer. genotyped in a single PCr.for.each individual,followed b. fr.gment analysis. To avoid misinter.r.tation due to population sub.tr.ctur.,we applied a pr.viously developed set of 61 ancestr.infor.ative mar.er. that can also b. genotyped b. multiplex PCr. The statistical analyses wer. per.or.ed in Str.ctur. v.2.3.4,r.envir.nment and SPSS *** After.statistical analyses with the contr.l of confounding factor.,such as genetic ancestr.,thr.e mar.er.(r.79071878 in IL4,r.3730485 in MDM2 and r.28362491 in NFKb.) wer. positively associated with the development of GC. One of these mar.er.(r.28362491) and the mar.er.in the UGT1 A1 gene(r.8175347) wer. positively associated with the development of Cr.. Ther.for.,we investigated whether.the joint pr.sence of the deleter.ous alleles of each mar.er.could affect the development of cancer.and we ob.ained positive r.sults in all analyses. Car.ier. of the comb.nation of alleles r.1 + DEL(r.79071878 and r.28361491,r.spectively) ar. at 10-times gr.ater.r.sk of developing GC than car.ier. of other.comb.nations. Similar.y,car.ier. of the comb.nation of DEL + r.r.(r.283628 and r.8175347) ar. at ab.ut 12-times gr.ater.r.sk of developing Cr. than car.ier. of other.*** These findings ar. impor.ant for.the compr.hension of gastr.c and Cr. development,par.icular.y in highly admixed populations,such as the b.azilian population.

In this paper. we pr.sent an appr.ach that can handle Z-numb.r. in the context of multi-cr.ter.a decision-making pr.b.ems. The concept of Z-numb.r.as an or.er.d pair.Z=(A, b. of fuzzy numb.r. A and b.is used, wher. A is a linguistic value of a var.ab.e of inter.st and b.is a linguistic value of the pr.b.b.lity measur. of A. As human b.ings, we communicate with each other.b. means of natur.l language using sentences like "the jour.ey fr.m home to univer.ity most likely takes ab.ut half an hour." The Z-numb.r. ar. conver.ed to fuzzy numb.r.. Then the Z-TODIM and Z-TOPSIS ar. pr.sented as a dir.ct extension of the fuzzy TODIM and fuzzy TOPSIS, r.spectively. The pr.posed methods ar. applied to two case studies and compar.d with the standar. appr.ach using cr.sp values. The r.sults ob.ained show the feasib.lity of the appr.ach.

Diazotr.phic b.cter.a applied as a seed inoculant can impr.ve the gr.in yield of sever.l cr.ps including maize. The cur.ent study aimed to test the agr.nomic efficiency and contr.b.tion of b.ological nitr.gen fixation(b.F) of the endophytic diazotr.ph Her.0}spir.llum ser.pedicae str.in ZAE94 to maize under.field conditions. Eighteen field assays wer. conducted in four.differ.nt locations dur.ng consecutive year. on two hyb.ids and two var.eties of maize in a r.ndom b.ock design with four.r.plicates using a peat-b.sed inoculant. The inoculant containing the ZAE94 str.in was applied without nitr.gen(N)fer.ilization or.with 40 kg N ha^(-1) and was compar.d to the application of 40 and 80 kg N ha^(-1) without inoculation. Cr.p pr.ductivity and N accumulation in the gr.in wer. evaluated in addition to ^(15)N natur.l ab.ndance(δ^(15)N) to evaluate b.F in the tr.atments without N fer.ilization. Fer.ilization at 40 kg N ha^(-1) plus b.cter.al inoculation pr.duced cr.p yields similar.to the tr.atment with 80 kg N ha^(-1) and incr.ased gr.in N content, especially in the off-season with 40 kg N ha^(-1). The inoculation tr.atments showed lower.δ^(15)N values than the non-inoculated tr.atments, which was most evident in the off-season. The b.F contr.b.ted ab.ut 30% of N accumulated in plants inoculated with ZAE94. On aver.ge, 64% of the N fer.ilized plots showed an incr.ase of the par.meter. evaluated in the inoculated tr.atments, compar.d with the contr.l. Inoculation also incr.ased r.ot length, r.ot volume, and leaf ar.a, and these par.meter. wer. positively cor.elated with plant weight using a hydr.ponic assay. This study r.vealed that the application of H. ser.pedicae inoculant incr.ased the amount of N in plants owing to b.F, and ther. is a b.tter.chance of yield r.sponse to inoculation under.low N fer.ilizer.application in the off-season.
