Effects of Yoga Interventions on Psychological Health and Performance of Competitive Athletes:A Systematic Review

Quality of life and psychological health in the field of competitive sport are emergent research topics,specifically for issues such as sport anxiety and *** the rise of contemplative practices,yoga has started to be used and included as part of athletes' mental *** study aimed to systematically review the literature on the impact of yoga interven-tions on quality of life,performance anxiety and sport performance among healthy elite adult *** on PRISmA guidelines,this systematic review includes articles published up to December *** search strategy was conducted in six databases (PUBmED,EmBASE,PsycINFO,SCOPUS,SportDiscuss and (E)rudit).Screened by two independent researchers,only six of the 37 articles drawn from the search met the preselected inclusion criteria and moved forward to the data extraction *** from six trials of poor quality (m =46.91%,SD =13.39,IRR of 92%) were included in this comprehensive literature search,indicating that elite athletes benefit from yoga interventions (with or without mindful-ness),in terms of changes in performance anxiety m =65% (SD =122.49),sport performance m =7.9% (SD =5.46) and life *** interventions lasted on average 5.7 weeks (SD =2.07).Based on the collected evidence,methodological and measurement limitations of the sport psychology literature should be addressed to improve the replicability of reported ***,this review provides encouraging but limited evidence for the value of yoga interventions in healthy adult ***,the important reporting inconsistencies and theoretical limitations that have been raised highlight the need for trials with greater methodological rigor.

Deposition of the H2A.Z histone variant by the SWR1 complex （SWRI-C） in regulatory regions of specific loci modulates transcription. Characterization of mutations in Arabidopsis thaliana homologs of yeast SWRI-C has revealed a role for H2A.Z exchange in a variety of developmental processes. Nevertheless, the exact composition of plant SWRI-C and how it is recruited to target genes remains to be established. Here we show that SWC4, the Arabidopsis homolog of yeast SANT domain protein Swc4/Eaf2, is a DNA-binding protein that interacts with SWR1-C subunits. We demonstrate that the swc4-1 knockout mutant is embryo- lethal, while SWC4 RNAi knockdown lines display pleiotropic phenotypic alterations in vegetative and repro- ductive traits, including acceleration of flowering time, indicating that SWC4 controls post-embryonic processes. Transcriptomic analyses and genome-wide profiling of H2A.Z indicate that SWC4 represses tran- scription of a number of genes, including the floral integrator FT and key transcription factors, mainly by modulating H2A.Z deposition. Interestingly, SWC4 silencing does not affect H2A.Z deposition at the FLC locus nor expression of this gene, a master regulator of flowering previously shown to be controlled by SWR1-C. Importantly, we find that SWC4 recognizes specific AT-rich DNA elements in the chromatin regions of target genes and that SWC4 silencing impairs SWRI-C binding at FT. Collectively, our data suggest that SWC4 regulates plant growth and development by aiding SWR1-C recruitment and modulating H2A.Z deposition.

How do greenhouse gas emissions vary with biofertilizer type and soil temperature and moisture in a tropical grassland?

Greenhouse gases are known to play an important role in global *** this study,we determined the effects of selected soil and climate variables on nitrous oxide(N2O),methane(CH4),and carbon dioxide(CO2)emissions from a tropical grassland fertilized with chicken slurry,swine slurry,cattle slurry,and cattle *** N2O emissions did not differ between treatments and varied from 29.26 to 32.85 mg N m^-***,cumulative CH4 emissions were not significantly different among the treatments and ranged from 6.34 to 57.73 mg CH4 m^-*** and compost application induced CO2 emissions that were significantly different from those in the control *** CH4 conversion factors measured were 0.21%,1.39%,4.39%,and 5.07%for cattle compost,chicken slurry,swine slurry,and cattle slurry,respectively,differing from the recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC).The fraction of added Nemitted as N2O was 0.39%,which was lower than the IPCC default value of 2%.Our findings suggest that N2O emissions could be mitigated by replacing synthetic fertilizer sources with either biofertilizer or *** results indicate the following:N2O emission was mainly controlled by soil temperature,followed by soil moisture and then soil NH^"content;CH4 fluxes were mainly controlled by soil moisture and chamber headspace temperature;and CO2 fluxes were mainly controlled by chamber headspace temperature and soil moisture.

目的探讨肿瘤坏死因子α（TNF-α）在激光诱导的小鼠脉络膜新生血管（CNV）形成中的作用。方法野生型C57BL／6J小鼠36只（72只眼），每只眼视网膜上做4个光凝斑诱导CNV生成。小鼠分别于光凝前3d或后3d腹腔内植入渗透泵，给予TNF-α抑制剂依那昔普（5μg/h，n=12）或英利西单抗（5μg/h，n=12），持续7d，对照组给予PBS（n=12）。光凝前3d的用药组分别于光凝后1和2周，光凝后3d的用药组于光凝后10d做荧光素眼底血管造影（FFA），之后立刻取左眼行视网膜组织学检查，右眼制作脉络膜平片，免疫组化方法标记内皮细胞，测定荧光素渗漏面积及脉络膜平片CNV相关荧光面积，比较CNV病变的大小及程度。用免疫印迹法分析比较小鼠光凝前后视网膜色素上皮层及脉络膜上TNF-α蛋白的表达。结果光凝后1周，免疫印迹法结果显示小鼠脉络膜及视网膜色素上皮层TNF-α表达增加。光凝前3d用药，光凝后1周，荧光素渗漏面积为（0．74±0．33）×10^4像素，2周时则为（0．63±0．20）×10^4像素，与对照组[（2．61±0．80）×10^4像素]比较均显著减少（t=3．69，3．56；P〈0．05）。光凝后1周对照组、依那昔普组和英利西单抗组CNV面积分别为（3．61±0．93）×10^5、（1．89±0．62）×10^5和（2．14±0．72）×10^5像素，与对照组比较，差异均有统计学意义（t=3．10，2．51；P〈0．05。但光凝后3d用药，则只有依那昔普能显著抑制CNV病变。组织病理学检查进一步证实，治疗组小鼠的CNV病变直径及厚度小于对照组。结论TNF-α参与激光诱导的CNV的形成。TNF-α抑制剂能抑制激光诱导的CNV的形成及渗漏。

microbial fuel cell(mFC) is an advanced bioelectrochemical technique that can utilize biomass materials in the process of simultaneously generating electricity and biodegrading or bio transforming toxic pollutants from wastewater. The overall performance of the system is largely dependent on the efficiency of the anode electrode to enhance electron transportation. Furthermore, the anode electrode has a significant impact on the overall cost of mFC setup. Hence, the need to explore research focused towards developing cost-effective material as anode in mFC. This material must also have favourable properties for electron transportation. Graphene oxide(GO) derivatives and its modification with nanomaterials have been identified as a viable anode material. Herein, we discussed an economically effective strategy for the synthesis of graphene derivatives from waste biomass materials and its subsequent fabrication into anode electrode for mFC applications. This review article offers a promising approach towards replacing commercial graphene materials with biomass-derived graphene derivatives in a view to achieve a sustainable and commercialized mFC.

Shade shelters increase survival and photosynthetic performance of oak transplants at abandoned fields in semi-arid climates

Forest restorations conducted in semiarid, seasonally dry climates must deal with the intense drought stress that affects tree seedlings during the dry season. Although this water deficit is the most commonly invoked source of mortality for seedlings, several other environmental factors may also preclude survival of transplants. For instance, it has been widely reported that excessive light reduces the efficiency of the photosynthetic apparatus, hence decreasing plant survival, but most seedling transplants in deforested areas are conducted under these light conditions. This study is focused in determining whether excessive light affects the photosynthetic performance and survival of Quercus coccolobifolia, a mexican oak species, when their seedlings are transplanted in semiarid deforested areas. Further, this study tests the possibility of using artificial shade shelters to improve the ecophysiological performance and survival of seedlings. Oak seedlings were transplanted under full sunlight conditions and beneath artificial shade shelters of two different colors： white and black. To reduce water stress, and hence isolate the effects of light treatments, a drip irrigation system was implemented at each experimental plot. Seedling survival was monitored weekly for 128 days and photosynthetic performance was assessed by measuring chlorophyll fluorescence at three opportunities during the experiment. Sun-exposed seedlings showed lower photosynthetic performance and survival rates than those beneath shelters of both colors. These results suggest that sunlight damage can reduce seedling survival when they are transplanted in exposed sites, and that shade shelters can improve the success of forest restoration programs in semiarid climates.

Latin-America (LATAm) is the second region in gastric cancer incidence;gastric adenocarcinoma (GA) represents 95% of all cases. We provide a mutational landscape of GA highlighting a) germline pathogenic variants associated with hereditary GA, b) germline risk variants associated with sporadic GA, and c) somatic variants present in sporadic GA in LATAm, and analyze how this landscape can be applied for precision medicine. We found that Brazil, Chile, Colombia, mexico, Peru, and Venezuela are the countries with more published studies from LATAm explicitly related to GA. Our analysis displayed that different germline pathogenic variants for the CDH1 gene have been identified for hereditary GA in Brazilian, Chilean, Colombian, and mexican populations. An increased risk of developing somatic GA is associated with the following germline risk variants: IL-4, IL-8, TNF-α, PTGS2, NFKB1, RAF1, KRAS and mAPK1 in Brazilian;IL-10 in Chilean;IL-10 in Colombian;EGFR and ERRB2 in mexican, TCF7L2 and Chr8q24 in Venezuelan population. The path from mutational landscape to precision medicine requires four development levels: 1) Data compilation, 2) Data analysis and integration, 3) Development and approval of clinical approaches, and 4) Population benefits. Generating local genomic information is the initial padlock to overcome to generate and apply precision medicine.

Lack of the fragile X mental retardation protein leads to Fragile X syndrome(FXS)while increased levels of FmR1 mRNA,as those observed in premutation carriers can lead to Fragile X-associated tremor ataxia syndrome(FXTAS).Until recently,FXTAS had been observed only in carriers of an FmR1 premutation(55–200 CGG repeats);however the disorder has now been described in individuals carriers of an intermediate allele(45–54 CGG repeats)as well as in a subject with a full mutation with ***,we report on molecular and clinical data of a male FmR1 mosaic individual with full and premutation *** analysis of FmR1 and FmRP expression in this subject is consistent with a FXS *** observed reduced expression of FmRP in both peripheral blood and brain leading to the FXS *** addition,a dramatic 90%depletion of both FmR1 mRNA and FmRP levels was observed in the blood,as normally observed in FXS cases,and an even greater depletion in the brain.A clinical report of this patient,at age 71,described neurodegenerative signs of parkinsonism that were likely,in retrospect,part of a FXTAS scenario as post-mortem examination shows the presence of intranuclear inclusions,the hallmark pathology of *** findings presented in this study indicate co-morbidity for both FXS and FXTAS in this individual carrying both full and premutation FmR1 *** addition,based on symptoms and pathological and molecular evidence,this report suggests the need to redefine the diagnostic criteria of FXTAS.

Animal and Plant Species in Antagonistic and mutualistic Networks, a multispecies mean Field model

We construct a dynamic system model of a web of NA?animal species interacting with NP plant species using a system of coupled differential equations. The model has a parameter which represents the effect of animal on plant species that can be positive (mutualistic interaction) or negative (antagonistic interaction). We work a multispecies mean Field model mmFm in which the full set of NA and NP variables are reduced to a couple of an average animal and plant species. We study the conditions for existence of the mmFm and relate the result to the difference between animal and plant species in the network. We compare our results with empirical data from pollinators (mutualistic) and herbivorous insect (antagonistic) networks. We conclude by combining analytical and empirical work that antagonistic networks present fewer animal species in relation to plant species than mutualistic ones.
