Given that floods continue to cause yearly significant worldwide human and material damages, flood risk mitigation is a key issue and a permanent challenge in developing policies and strategies at various spatial scales. Therefore, a basic phase is elaborating hazard and flood risk maps, documents which are an essential support for flood risk management. The aim of this paper is to develop an approach that allows for the identification of flash-flood and flood-prone susceptible areas based on computing and mapping of two indices： FFPI （Flash-Flood Potential Index） and FPI （Flooding Potential Index）. These indices are obtained by integrating in a GIS environment several geographical variables which control runoff（in the case of the FFPI） and favour flooding （in the case of the FPI）. The methodology was applied in the upper （mountainous） and middle （hilly） catchment of the Prahova River, a densely populated and socioeconomically well-developed area which has been affected repeatedly by water-related hazards over the past decades. The resulting maps showing the spatialization of the FFPI and FPI allow for the identification of areas with high susceptibility to flash- floods and flooding. This approach can provide useful mapped information, especially for areas （generally large） where there are no flood/hazard risk maps. Moreover, the FFPI and FPI maps can constitute a preliminary step for flood risk and vulnerability assessment.

Considering the frequent use of netupitant in polytherapy,the elucidation of its oxidative metabolization pattern is of major ***,there is a lack of published research on the redox behavior of this novel neurokinin-1 receptor ***,this study was performed to simulate the intensive hepatic biotransformation of netupitant using an electrochemically driven *** of the known enzyme-mediated reactions occurring in the liver(i.e.,N-dealkylation,hydroxylation,and Noxidation)were successfully mimicked by the electrolytic cell using a boron-doped diamond working *** products were separated by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography and identified by high-resolution mass *** from its ability to pinpoint formerly unknown metabolites that could be responsible for the known side effects of netupitant or connected with any new perspective concerning future therapeutic indications,this electrochemical process also represents a facile alternative for the synthesis of oxidation products for further in vitro and in vivo studies.

Early osmotic adjustment responses in drought-resistant and drought-sensitive oilseed rape

The impact of osmotic stress on growth, physiolo- gy, and metabolism of winter oilseed rape （Brassica napus L.） was investigated by detailed analysis of biomass traits, hormone metabolites and osmolytes in two genetically unrelated drought-tolerant genotypes and two unrelated drought-sensitive genotypes. Seedlings were grown in vitro under controlled conditions and osmotic stress was simulated by applying a gradual treatment with polyethylene glycol （PEG 6ooo）, followed by hypo-osmotic treatment of variants used for metabolite determination. The results provide a basis for the identification of reliable selection criteria for drought resistance in oilseed rape. The in vitro cultivation system established during this study enabled effective discrimination of early osmotic stress responses between drought-resistant and -susceptible oilseed rape genotypes that also show large differences in relative seed yield under drought conditions in the field. Clear physiological and metabolic differences wereobserved between the drought-resistant and drought-sensitive genotypes, suggesting that osmotic adjustment is a key component of drought response in oilseed rape. Unexpected- ly, however, the drought-resistant genotypes did not show typical hormonal adjustment and osmolyte accumulation, suggesting that they possess alternative physiological mech- anisms enabling avoidance of stress symptoms.

A wireless communication system can be tested either in actual conditions or by a hardware simulator reproducing actual conditions. With a hardware simulator it is possible to freely simulate a desired type of a radio channel and making it possible to test “on table” mobile radio equipment. This paper presents an architecture for the digital block of a hardware simulator of MIMO propagation channels. This simulator can be used for LTE and WLAN IEEE 802.11ac applications, in indoor and outdoor environments. However, in this paper, specific architecture of the digital block of the simulator is presented to characterize a scenario indoor to outdoor using TGn channel models. The switching between each environment in the scenario must be made in a continuous manner. Therefore, an algorithm is designed to pass from a considered impulse response in the environment to another in other environment. The architecture of the digital block of the hardware simulator is presented and implemented on a Xilinx Virtex-IV FPGA. Moreover, the impulse responses are transferred into the simulator. The accuracy, the occupation on the FPGA and the latency of the architecture are analyzed.

A hardware simulator reproduces the behavior of the radio propagation channel, thus making it possible to test “on table” the mobile radio equipments. The simulator can be used for LTE and WLAN 802.11ac applications, in indoor and outdoor environments. In this paper, the input signals parameters and the relative power of the impulse responses are related to the relative error and SNR of the output signals. After analyzing the influence of these parameters on the output error and SNR, an algorithm based on an Auto-Scale Factor (ASF) is analyzed in details to improve the precision of the output signals of the hardware simulator digital block architecture. Moreover, the circuit needed for the validation of this algorithm has been introduced, verified and realized. It is shown that this solution increases the output SNR if the relative powers of the impulse responses are attenuated. The new architecture of the digital block is presented and implemented on a Xilinx Virtex-IV FPGA. The occupation on the FPGA and the accuracy of the architecture are analyzed.

The present paper is the first study conducted in Romania on the inventory of wetlands of a large surface of the country. The focus of this study is the Moldavian Plateau, located in the east of Romania. It is delimitated by the Eastern Carpathians on the west, the Romanian Plain on the south, the Ukrainian border on the north and the Prut Valley （border with the Republic of Moldavia） on the east. Although the Moldavian Plateau is situated in the driest region of Romania, the majority of the wetlands and of the low discharge rivers is found in this region. The existence of numerous wetlands, respectively small ponds, is influenced by the human activities and the scarcity of water resources. The impermeable clayey substratum favored the occurrence and survival of a large number of wetlands. Most of them are found in the northern Moldavian Plain, and the fewest to the south, in the Covurlui Plateau. The most important wetlands are those developed along the two main rivers draining this territory： Prut and Siret. Unfortunately, Siret River floodplain has been in most of its part protected by means of flood prevention dikes. Consequently, many of the wetlands entered agricultural use.

FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT)can promote early flowering in annual species,but such role has not been well demonstrated in woody *** produced self and reciprocal grafts involving non-transgenic blueberry(NT)and transgenic blueberry(T)carrying a 35S-driven blueberry FT(VcFT-OX).We demonstrated that the transgenic VcFT-OX rootstock promoted flowering of non-transgenic blueberry scions in the NT(scion):T(rootstock)*** further analyzed RNASeq profiles and six groups of phytohormones in both NT:T and NT:NT *** observed content changes of several hormone metabolites,in a descending order,in the transgenic NT:T,non-transgenic NT:T,and non-transgenic NT:NT *** comparing differential expression transcripts(DETs)of these tissues in relative to their control,we found that the non-transgenic NT:T leaves had many DETs shared with the transgenic NT:T leaves,but very few with the transgenic NT:T ***,a number of these shared DETs belong to hormone pathway genes,concurring with the content changes of hormone metabolites in both transgenic and non-transgenic leaves of the NT:T *** results suggest that phytohormones induced by VcFT-OX in the transgenic leaves might serve as part of the signals that resulted in early flowering in both transgenic plants and the non-transgenic NT:T scions.

This article identifies and analyzes the effects of human pressures on the river systems,landscape,flow regime,and water quality in the Bucharest region,the largest urbanized area in *** analyses focused on four streams crossing the Bucharest region,namely the Dâmboviţa,Colentina,Argeş,and Sabar *** approach relied especially on three types of information:(1)spatial data;(2)hydrological data sets;and(3)water quality *** made a diachronic analysis of the available maps and ran classic statistical analysis of the data sets,as well as trend *** the same time,we compared the flows in natural(reconstituted)and modified(current)*** results showed that the stream system and its associated landscapes have considerably changed due to several engineering works(reservoirs,dams,channelization works,diversion canals,water intakes,etc.).Under these circumstances,the flow regime suffered changes that differed among the ***,the multiannual discharges of the Argeşand Dâmboviţa rivers did not exhibit significant changes,but only mitigated the monthly discharge *** the case of Sabar and Colentina,a significant increase of the annual and monthly discharges was identified,due to the water transferred from the neighboring *** quality worsened,especially on the lower courses of the Dâmboviţa and Argeşrivers,degrading the states and health of the aquatic ecosystems in the study region.

The molecular mechanism underlying dormancy release and the induction of flowering remains poorly understood in woody ***-legacy is a valuable blueberry mutant,in which a transgene insertion caused increased expression of a RESPONSE REGULATOR 2-like gene(VcRR2).Mu-legacy plants,compared with nontransgenic‘Legacy’plants,show dwarfing,promotion of flower bud formation,and can flower under nonchilling *** conducted transcriptomic comparisons in leaves,chilled and nonchilled flowering buds,and late-pink buds,and analyzed a total of 41 metabolites of six groups of hormones in leaf tissues of both Mu-legacy and‘Legacy’*** analyses uncovered that increased VcRR2 expression promotes the expression of a homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana ENTCOPALYL DIPHOSPHATE SYNTHETASE 1(VcGA1),which induces new homeostasis of hormones,including increased gibberellin 4(GA4)levels in Mu-legacy ***,increased expression of VcRR2 and VcGA1,which function in cytokinin responses and gibberellin synthesis,respectively,initiated the reduction in plant height and the enhancement of flower bud formation of the Mu-legacy plants through interactions of multiple *** nonchilled flower buds,29 differentially expressed transcripts of 17 genes of five groups of hormones were identified in transcriptome comparisons between Mu-legacy and‘Legacy’plants,of which 22 were chilling ***,these analyses suggest that increased expression of VcRR2 was collectively responsible for promoting flower bud formation in highbush blueberry under nonchilling *** report here for the first time the importance of VcRR2 to induce a suite of downstream hormones that promote flowering in woody plants.
