effectiveness of ivermectin mass drug administration in the control of soil-transmitted helminth infections in endemic populations: a systematic review and meta-analysis

A study on seasonal abundance,morphometric and meristic data,growth pattern,condition fector,sex ratio and gonadosomatic index of Liza falcip-innis(Wlenciennes,1836)from the.o.o axis of Badagry creek,Nigeria was conducted from May 2019 to March 2020.A total of 1012 species were randomly selected,having 499 females and 513 *** length frequency analysis and length-weight relationships(LWR)were *** ratio was determined by Chi-square *** results showed that morphometric data are:0.5-2.5 mm for eD,2.1-12 mm for HL,1.7-8.1 mm for HD,2.5-11.7 for BD,2.6-233.3 mm for TL and 9.23-1006 g for BW for the combined *** slope(b)shows an allometric growth *** intercept'a'and slope'b'of the LWR(LogW=a+bLogL)were Log W=15.39+0.34 LogL(r=0.54)for combined sexes,Log W=12.49+0.02 log L(r=0.38)for males and Log W=18.23+0.01 log L(r=0.16)for *** length frequency distribution indicated that species were dominated by two year classes(Ages 1 and 2).Condition factors were generally *** values ranged between 0.68-0.85 for combined *** gonadosomatic index for female was highest in August,2019(17.77%)with Mean±SD of 2.88±0.75;which indicated the peak of spawning period in the study *** ratio difference was significant(Pexual differences were significant;the females are phe.o.ypically larger than the male.

Sendai Frame.o.k’s Global Targets A and B: opinions from the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction’s Ignite Stage 2019

The Sendai Frame.o.k for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 set seven global targets of which the first two targets are to reduce disaster deaths(target A) and diminish the number of affected people globally(target B)by *** realize these targets,the United Nations General Assembly’s expert Working Group provided indicators to measure progress as well as terminologies for these targets in *** around these targets is *** article contributes to the understanding of the targets by exploring:(1) what are the conditions that may hinder achieving targets,as well as those that may accelerate their achievement at the national and local levels;and(2) which types of organizations should lead a country’s effort to reduce disaster deaths?These questions were answered by opinion survey research carried out at the Sixth Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk *** participants identified disaster risk reduction efforts,early warning systems,awareness,finance and investment(among others) as the important facilitating factors to achieve targets A and *** investment in human security,lack of response and coordination,uncertainty of climate change,poor information,lack of campaigns and low budget allocation(among others) are considered as the important hindering factors for these targets by the *** findings also suggest that the facilitating and hindering variables of targets A and B are interconnected with global target e(disaster risk governance and capacity building).The majority of the participants thought that it is the national government who should lead in a country’s effort to reduce disaster *** on these findings,a few re.o.mendations have been made to improve policy and practice related to the indicators as well as to reimagine theories so that targets A and B can be realized in alignment with target e at the national and local levels by 2030.

Several possible definitions of local injectivity for a homomorphism of an oriented graph G to an oriented graph H are considered. In each case, we determine the complexity of deciding whether there exists such a homomorphism when G is given and H is a fixed tournament on three.o. fewer vertices. each possible definition leads to a locally-injective.o.iented colouring problem. A dichotomy theorem is proved in each case.

Purpose Understanding the desired attributes for talented soccer players may give insight into the process of(de)selection and player *** study aimed to explore soccer academy personnel’s perceptions of attributes associated with talent and *** Thirty english and Scottish academy personnel(managers,coaches,recruitment,sports scientists)provided per-ceptions into what attributes contribute to‘talent’,via an online *** an e-Delphi method,seven experts refined these inputs over several rounds until a consensus was reached,resulting in 82 agreed *** terminology was resubmitted via a se.o.d online survey,where 45 academy personnel rated each using a Likert *** A ranking of attributes by importance was produced,finding Psychological and Technical/Tactical attributes con-sidered of greatest *** were.o.served,whereby recruitment personnel consistently over-emphasised the importance.o. several attributes compared to other personnel(P=0.02-0.04).When analyzed within each age phase,11 variations in the perceived importance.o. attributes were de.o.strated in the youth phase(11-16 years,P=0.01)compared with 5 in the professional phases(17-23 years,P=0.01-0.05)Conclusion The present study de.o.strates that‘talent’requires multifaceted deve.o.ments,with academy personnel per-ceiving psychological attributes the most important contributor to deve.o.ment.

Background: This study investigated the validity of the DNA-marker based test to determine susceptibility to eTeCF4 diarrhoea by comparing the results of two DNA sequencing techniques in weaner pigs following experimental infection with F4 ente.o.oxigenic escherichia coli(eTeC-F4). The effects of diet and genetic susceptibility were assessed by measuring the incidence.o. piglet post-weaning diarrhoea(PWD), faecal e. coli shedding and the diarrhoea ***: A DNA marker-based test targeting the mucin 4 gene(MUC4) that encodes F4 fimbria receptor identified pigs as either fully susceptible(SS), partially or mildly susceptible(SR), and resistant(RR) to deve.o.ing eTeC-F4 diarrhoea. To further analyse this, DNA sequencing was undertaken, and a significantly higher proportion of C nucleotides was observed for RR and SR at the Xba I cleavage site ge.o.ypes when compared to SS. However, no significant difference was found between SR and RR ge.o.ypes. There.o.e, results obtained from Sanger sequencing retrospectively allocated pigs into a resistant ge.o.ype(MUC4–), in the case.o. a C nucleotide, and a susceptible ge.o.ype(MUC4+), in the case.o. a G nucleotide, at the single nucleotide polymorphism site. A total of 72 weaner pigs(age ~ 21 days), weighing 6.1 ± 1.2 kg(mean ± SeM), were fed 3 different diets:(i) positive control(PC) group supplemented with 3 g/kg zinc oxide(Zn o),(ii) negative control(NC) group(no Zn o or HAMSA),and(iii) a diet containing a 50 g/kg high-amylose maize starch product(HAMSA) esterified with acetate. At days five and six after weaning, all pigs were.o.ally infected with eTeC(se.o.ype.o.49:F4;toxins LT1, ST1, ST2 and eAST). The percentage.o. pigs that deve.o.ed diarrhoea following infection was higher(P = 0.05) in MUC4+ pigs compared to MUC4– pigs(50% vs. 26.8%, respectively). Furthermore, pigs fed Zn o had less eTeC-F4 diarrhoea(P = 0.009) than pigs fed other diets, however faecal shedding of eTeC was similar(P > 0.05) between ***
