Background:lower limb burns can significantly delay recovery of *** lower limb functional outcomes is challenging in the unique burn patient population and necessitates the use of reliable and valid *** aims of this study were to examine the test-retest reliability,sensitivity,and internal consistency of Sections 1 and 3 of the lower limb Functional Index-10(llFI-10)questionnaire for measuring functional ability in patients with lower limb burns over ***:Twenty-nine adult patients who had sustained a lower limb burn injury in the previous 12 months completed the test-retest procedure of the *** addition,the minimal detectable change(MDC)was calculated for Section 1 and 3 of the *** 1 is focused on the activity limitations experienced by patients with a lower limb disorder whereas Section 3 involves patients indicating their current percentage of pre-injury ***:Section 1 of the llFI-10 demonstrated excellent test-retest reliability(intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC)0.98,95%CI 0.96–0.99)whilst Section 3 demonstrated high test-retest reliability(ICC 0.88,95%CI 0.79–0.94).MDC scores for Sections 1 and 3 were 1.27 points and 30.22%,*** consistency was demonstrated with a significant negative association(rs=?0.83)between Sections 1 and 3 of the llFI-10(plusions:This study demonstrates that Section 1 and 3 of the llFI-10 are reliable for measuring functional ability in patients who have sustained lower limb burns in the previous 12 months,and furthermore,Section 1 is sensitive to changes in patient function over time.

Due to severe anthropogenic impacts on lowland and submontane zones of the Hyrcanian forests of northern Iran, wild grapevine(Vitis vinifera subsp. sylvestris), a sporadically distributed woody liana, is currently considered an endangered species. Using data from the literature and 34 studied populations, herbarium assessments and nine palynological sites, we provide an overview of its taxonomy,distribution and ecology in the first part of the *** separation of the two subspecies, namely V. sylvestris subsp. anebophylla and V. sylvestris subsp. trichophylla(sensu Flora Iranica), based on their leaf indumentums, could not be confirmed by our examination of herbarium materials and field observations. Indumentum of the leaves is a result of leaf polymorphism in different Vitis specimens and can be strongly influenced by environmental conditions. Vitis vinifera subsp. sylvestris grows in a wide range of habitats including wetlands, seasonal stream sides in closed forests,alluvial beds of large rivers, sand dune shrublands and forested wetlands(alder forests). Parrotia persica and Carpinus betulus were the most frequent host species in the studied populations. In the Hyrcanian region, no pollen record of Vitis older than the Mid-or late-Holocene has yet been established. Despite the intrinsic problem in pollen identification by normal(i.e., light) microscopy of wild from cultivated grapevines, the significant values and persistent occurrence of Vitis pollen since the Mid-Holocene(before the Bronze Age) in the Hyrcanian pollen records may imply the onset of viticulture in low-to mid-elevation sites in the region. This represents an argument to consider the Hyrcanian region as a possible domestication center for V. ***, the question of wild versus cultivated origin of grapevines in the Hyrcanian pollen records and the possible date of its domestication and/or cultivation will remain open until further palynological studies are undertaken.

水稻恶苗病和稻瘟病分别是由藤仓镰刀菌（Fusarium fujikuroi）和Magnaporthe oryzae引起的典型真菌病害。这类病害的发生严重威胁着水稻的产量和品质,田间生产中主要是使用杀菌剂进行防治。氯氟醚菌唑（mefentrifluconazole,MFZ）是巴斯夫公司生产的一种新型去甲基化抑制剂（DMI）类杀菌剂。氯氟醚菌唑具有优异的抗真菌活性,具有广谱、高效、良好内吸传导性等优点。然而,其对***和***的生物活性和防治效果仍不明确。基于此,本研究旨在明确氯氟醚菌唑对水稻恶苗病菌***和稻瘟病菌***的生物活性,建立其对氯氟醚菌唑的敏感性基线,并探究了氯氟醚菌唑对***和***的生理生化特征的影响。主要结果如下:氯氟醚菌唑对水稻恶苗病菌的活性:1.通过菌丝生长速率法和孢子萌发法建立了水稻恶苗病菌对氯氟醚菌唑的敏感性基线,其EC值的范围分别为0.0305-0.7579μg/m l和0.1091-1.6870μg/m l,平均EC值分别为0.2469±0.01669μg/m l和0.6397±0.0324μg/m l。两条敏感性基线均为单峰曲线,表明氯氟醚菌唑对***表现出优异的抑制活性。2.光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜的观察结果表明,氯氟醚菌唑处理使水稻恶苗病菌菌丝分枝增多,菌丝形态扭曲变形;此外,孢子形态出现皱缩扁平的现象。3.氯氟醚菌唑处理显著降低麦角甾醇含量,增加细胞膜通透性,降低几丁质含量,破坏细胞壁和细胞膜的完整性。4.盆栽实验分析表明,与氰烯菌酯和咪鲜胺相比,氯氟醚菌唑对水稻恶苗病菌表现出更好的保护（76.48%）和治疗活性（87.99%）,治疗活性明显优于保护活性。5.氯氟醚菌唑处理可显著降低***和***中,伏马菌素（FB1、FB2和FB3）的含量,***中赤霉酸含量稍有下降,但与对照相比无显著差异。氯氟醚菌唑对水稻稻瘟病菌的活性:1.通过菌丝生长速率法建立稻瘟病菌对氯氟醚菌唑的敏感性基线,EC值范围为0.4131-1.5761μg/m l,平均EC值为1.0189±0.3595μg/m l。敏感性基线呈单峰曲线,可作为敏感性基线标准。2.氯氟醚菌唑处理使稻瘟病菌菌丝顶端分枝增多,并伴随有明显的扭曲、皱缩和断裂。此外,处理组菌丝细胞膜通透性增大,麦角甾醇和几丁质含量降低,细胞壁和细胞膜完整性被破坏。综上所述,氯氟醚菌唑对水稻恶苗病菌和稻瘟病菌表现出优异的离体活性,并对水稻恶苗病具有良好的活体防效,可作为防治水稻恶苗病和稻瘟病的候选杀菌剂,减缓田间抗药性发生。

The computed tomography was applied to setting STIM(Scanning Transmission Ion Microscopy) projections recorded at the Fudan Ion Beam *** this work,in order to visualize the three-dimensional mass density distribution in several specimens,example for a test structure of hollow gold cyliner was presented together with a detailed description of the developed system,including data reconstruction code(Tomorebuild 2) and image display software(AMIRA).Future development will allow the particle induced X-ray emission tomography for elemental analysis of micrometer-sized samples.

Objectives:We aim to describe the efficacy,safety,and characteristics of the Amplatzer Vascular Plug(AVP)II and IV“off-label”use for multiple cardiovascular occlusions in children under 10 ***:Observational retrospective multicenter(2007–2020,6 centers)review of paediatric procedures using AVP II or ***:A total of 125 children(49.6%aged≤1 year,147 lesions)underwent 136 successive procedures(success rate:98.5%)using 169 devices(109 AVP IV,60 AVP II).The mean device diameter was 7.7±3.2 mm(4–20 mm).The median AVP size to vessel diameter ratio was 1.3(0–2).The median age and weight at implantation were 1.0 year(0.01–9.98)and 8.4 kg(1–69).Procedures were heterogeneous(55 patent ductus arteriosus(PDA),28 collaterals,18 sequestrations,22 arteriovenous/veinovenous/coronary fistulas,6 vertical veins,6 conduits,5 ventricular septal defects,7 miscellaneous).Day 1 and 6-month occlusion rates were respectively 94.8%and 98.5%.Major adverse events(MAE)occurred in 5.2%of cases(no procedure-related deaths),and more frequently in weight≤5 kg(p=0.01),younger patients(p=0.03)during PDA closure(p=0.02)of tubular types(p=0.02)using larger devices(p=0.03)and AVP II(p=0.003).Independent predictor of MAE risk was a higher AVP diameter to patient weight ratio(Odds-ratio:2.33,95%confidence interval 1.31–4.13,p=0.004,optimal cut off:1.45).Conclusions:Both AVPs are safe and effective for percutaneous occlusions in children under *** devices represent an alternative“off label”use for well selected paediatric patients.

The fields of behavioral ecology, conservation science, and environmental toxicology individually aim to protect and manage the conservation of wildlife in response to anthropogenic stressors, including widespread anthropogenic pollution. Although great emphasis in the field of toxicology has been placed on understanding how single pollutants affect survival, a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach that includes behavioral ecology is essential to address how anthropogenic compounds are a risk for the survival of species and populations in an increasingly polluted world. We provide an integrative framework for behavioral ecotoxicology using Tinbergen's four postulates (causation and mechanism, development and ontogeny, function and fitness, and evolutionary history and phylogenetic patterns). The aims of this review are: 1) to promote an integrative view and re-define the field of integrative behavioral ecotoxicology; 2) to demonstrate how studying ecotoxicology can promote behavior research; and 3) to identify areas of behavioral ecotoxicology that require further attention to promote the integration and growth of the field.

Background: Major burns are life threatening. Fluid resuscitation is required for survival to maintain intravascular volumes and prevent hypovolemic shock. Bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) has been recognised as a potential method of monitoring fluid shifts after burn and in other disease states. The aims of this study were to examine the reliability of BIS across different dressing conditions and electrode positions, establish the influence of Acticoat?on BIS variable measures and determine the validity of whole-body BIS to assess net fluid shift in the presence of moderate to major burns. Methods: An observational longitudinal cohort study was conducted from December 2014 to February 2016. Patients with over 15% total body surface area (TBSA) burns and injury less than 48 h were enrolled in the study. BIS triplicate measures were collected in an open wound and with an ActicoatTMdressing (at 5 half hour intervals). Standard and alternate electrode placements were utilised for the reliability analysis and standard placement only for determining the validity of BIS in moderate to major burns. The ImpediMde SFB7 was used to collect whole-body and segmental BIS measures. Stata statistical software, release 14 was utilised to analyse all results. Descriptive analyses were performed and were reported using the means and standard deviations (SD). Results: BIS-repeated measures established BIS raw resistance (R), and predicted volume variables were reliable in any condition (intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) 0.996-0.999, 95% confidence intervals (CI) 0.996-0.999) without a systematic difference. Acticoat?dressings significantly influenced all BIS-predicted volumes (p≤0.01) as determined by multilevel mixed effects (MlME) linear regression analysis. Endothelin increases the proliferation of rat olfactory mucosa cells

The olfactory mucosa holds olfactory sensory neurons directly in contact with an aggressive environment. In order to maintain its integrity, it is one of the few neural zones which are continuously renewed during the whole animal life. Among several factors regulating this renewal, endothelin acts as an anti-apoptotic factor in the rat olfactory epithelium. In the present study, we explored whether endothelin could also act as a proliferative factor. Using primary culture of the olfactory mucosa, we found that an early treatment with endothelin increased its growth. Consistently, a treatment with a mixture of BQ123 and BQ788(endothelin receptor antagonists) decreased the primary culture growth without affecting the cellular death level. We then used combined approaches of calcium imaging, reverse transcriptase-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and protein level measurements to show that endothelin was locally synthetized by the primary culture until it reached confluency. Furthermore, in vivo intranasal instillation of endothelin receptor antagonists led to a decrease of olfactory mucosa cell expressing proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA), a marker of proliferation. Only short-term treatment reduced the PCNA level in the olfactory mucosa cells. When the treatment was prolonged, the PCNA level was not statistically affected but the expression level of endothelin was increased. Overall, our results show that endothelin plays a proliferative role in the olfactory mucosa and that its level is dynamically regulated. This study was approved by the Comité d’éthique en expérimentation animale COMETHEA(COMETHEA C2 EA-45;protocol approval #12-058) on November 28, 2012.
