A 1-year-old girl with Waardenburg syndrome type I presented with double collecting system of left kidney accompanied by nonobstructive hydronephrosis of lower pole and by ureteropelvic junction obstruction of right kidney. Renal involvement in Waardenburg syndrome was reported once in a 4-month-old boy with unilateral duplication of the renal collecting system and in a 16-day-old girl who had right multicystic dysplastic kidney and hydronephrosis in the left kidney. The third case of renal involvement in Waardenburg syndrome is presented here, with special emphasis on early diagnosis and management of renal a.o.aly. The authors conclude that urinary system a.o.alies should also be considered in the wide spectrum of Waardenburg syndrome clinical features to a.o.d life-threatening complications.

We examine quasi exactly solvable bistable potentials and their supersymmetric partners within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method （AIM）. It is shown that the AIM produces excellent approximate spectra and that sometimes it is found to be more useful to use the partner potential for computation. We also discuss the direct application of the AIM to the Fokker-Planck equation.

Structural and lattice dynamical properties of ReB2,RuB2,and osB2 in the ReB2 structure are studied in the framework of density functional theory within the generalized gradient *** present results show that these compounds are dynamically stable for the considered *** temperature-dependent behaviors of thermodynamical properties such as internal energy,free energy,entropy,and heat capacity are also *** obtained results are in good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical data.

The microstructure-dependent corrosion resistance of dual structured fine-grained Mg-7.5 Li-3 Al-lZn has been *** alloys were extruded using extrusion with a forward-backward rotating die(KoBo,a newly developed SPD method)at two different extrusion *** fine-grained microstructures formed in the alloys were characterized,and the influence of grain refinement on corrosion resistance was *** fine-grained(α+β)Mg-Li alloys,a higher extrusion ratio led to more intensive grain refinement;however,this relationship did not improve their corrosion resistance in a chloride-containing *** corrosion resistance of the alloys was mainly controlled by the refinement ofα(Mg)andβ(Li),a.o.g with the distribution of second *** presence of MgLi_(2) Al at grain boundaries facilitated their dissolution.

The synthesis of martensitic or shape-memory bulk metallic glass composites(BMGCs)via solidification of the glass-forming melts requires the meticulous selection of the chemical composition and the proper choice of the processing parameters in order to ensure that the glassy matrix coexists with the desired a.o.nt of austenitic ***,a relatively limited number of such systems,where austenite and glassy matrix coexist over a wide range of compositions,is ***,we study the effective-ness of powder metallurgy as an alternative to solidification for the synthesis of shape memory ***_(48)Cu_(36)Al_(8)Ag_(8)matrix composites with different volume fractions of Ni_(50.6)Ti_(49.4)are fabricated using hot pressing and their microstructure,mechanical properties and deformation mechanism are investigated employing experiments and *** results demonstrate that shape-memory BMGCs with tun-able microstructures and properties can be synthesized by hot *** phase stability of the glass and austenitic components across a wide range of compositions allows us to examine fundamental as-pects in the field of shape memory BMGCs,including the effect of the confining stress on the martensitic transformation exerted by the glassy matrix,the contribution of each phase to the plasticity and the mechanism responsible for shear band *** present method gives a virtually infinite choice a.o.g the possible combinations of glassy matrices and shape memory phases,expanding the range of accessible shape memory BMGCs to systems where the glassy and austenitic phases do not form simul-taneously using the solidification route.

The asymptotic iteration method （AIM） is used to obtain the quasi-exact solutions of the Schr6dinger equation with a deformed well potential. For arbitrary potential parameters, a numerical aspect of AIM is also applied to obtain highly accurate energy eigenvalues. Additionally, the perturbation expansion, based on the AIM approach, is utilized to obtain simple analytic expressions for the energy eigenvalues.

We perform the ab initio calculations based on norm-conserving pseudopotentials and density functional theory to investigate the structural, elastic, and thermodynamical properties for silver nitride （AgN） compound that is a member of the 4d transition metal group and has not been synthesized yet. The obtained results are compared with the other available theoretical data, and the agreement is, generally, quite good. We also present the pressure-dependent behaviour of some mechanical and thermodynamical properties for the same compounds.

In mathematical physics the main goal of quantum mechanics is to obtain the energy spectrum of an a.o.ic *** many practices,Schrodinger equation which is a second order and linear differential equation is solved to do this *** are many theoretic mathematical methods serving this *** use Asymptotic Iteration Method(AIM) to obtain the energy eigenvalues of Schrodinger equation in N-dimensional euclidean space for a potential class given as αr^(2d-2)-βr^(d-2).We also obtain a restriction on the eigenvalues that gives ***,we crosscheck the eigenvalues and degeneracies using the perturbation theory in the view of the AIM.

In this study, powder metallurgy methods were used to fabricate Mg-7.5Li-3Al-Zn alloys from repowdered extruded alloys. Extruded alloys were powdered using ultra.o.ic a.o.ization, and then laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) and pulse plasma sintering(PPS) were used to consolidate the bulk materials. A comparison of the properties of the fabricated alloys with those of a conventionally extruded one was carried out using methods that characterized the microstructure and corrosion resistance. When compared to their conventionally extruded counterpart, LPBF and PPS materials exhibited refined microstructures with low enrichment in Al Li and coarse Al, Zn, Mn precipitates. The main drawback of the LPBF alloy, printed for the needs of this study, was its porosity, which had a negative effect on its corrosion. The presence of unrecrystallized particle boundaries in the PPS alloy was also unbeneficial with regard to corrosion. The advantage of the LPBF and PPS processes was the ability to change the proportion of α(Mg) to β(Li), which when the complete consolidation of the material is achievable, may increase the corrosion resistance of dual-structured Mg-Li alloys. The results show that powder metallurgy routes have a wide potential to be used for the manufacture of Mg-Li based alloys.
