Selenium(Se)in paddy rice is one of the significant sources of human Se ***,the effect of arsenic(As)pollution in soil on the translocation of Se species in rice plants is *** this research,a pot experiment was designed to examine the effect of the addition of 50 mg As/kg soil as arsenite or arsenate on the migration of Se species from soil to indica Minghui 63 and *** results showed that the antagonism between inorganic As and Se was closely related to the rice cultivar and Se oxidation state in *** to the standalone selenate treatment,arsenite significantly(p<0.05)decreased the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,sheaths,leaves,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 21.4%-100.0%,40.0%-100.0%,41.0%-100%,5.4%-96.3%,11.3%-100.0% and 26.2%-39.7% respectively,except for selenocystine in the kernels of indica Minghui 63 and selenomethionine in the leaves of indica Minghui 63 and the stems of indica *** also decreased(p<0.05)the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 34.9%-100.0%,30.2%-100.0%,11.3%-100.0% and 5.6%-39.6%respectively,except for selenate in the stems of indica Minghui ***,relative to the standalone selenite treatment,arsenite and arsenate decreased(p<0.05)the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenite only in the roots of indica Minghui 63 by 45.5%-100.0%.Our results suggested that arsenite and arsenate had better antagonism toward Se species in selenate-added soil than that in selenite-added soil;moreover,arsenite had a higher inhibiting effect on the accumulation of Se species than arsenate.

Kagome magnets with diverse topological quantum responses are crucial for next-generation topological *** anisotropic magnetism and band evolution induced by ferromagnetic phase transition(FMPT)is reported in a newly discovered titanium-based kagome ferromagnet Sm Ti3Bi4,which features a distorted Ti kagome lattice and Sm atomic zig-zag ***-dependent resistivity,heat capacity,and magnetic susceptibility reveal a ferromagnetic ordering temperature Tc of23.2 K.A large magnetic anisotropy,observed by applying the magnetic field along three crystallographic axes,identifies the b axis as the easy ***-resolved photoemission spectroscopy with first-principles calculations unveils the characteristic kagome motif,including the Dirac point at the Fermi level and multiple van Hove ***,a band splitting and gap closing attributed to FMPT is observed,originating from the exchange coupling between Sm 4 f local moments and itinerant electrons of the kagome Ti atoms,as well as the time-reversal symmetry breaking induced by the long-range ferromagnetic *** the large in-plane magnetization and the evolution of electronic structure under the influence of ferromagnetic ordering,such materials promise to be a new platform for exploring the intricate electronic properties and magnetic phases based on the kagome lattice.

In flat jet electrochemical milling, the electrolyte forms a backward parallel flow after impacting the workpiece, resulting in a weak current density distribution on the workpiece. Poor surface quality usually occurs on the machined titanium alloy surface because it inevitably suffers from the weak current density. In this study, a method of flat jet electrochemical milling with tailoring the backward parallel flow was proposed to eliminate the negative effects caused by the weak current density. Multiphysics simulations are carried out to comprehend the mechanism of flat jetEC milling with tailoring backward parallel flow and better construct the novel tool *** on flat jet electrochemical milling of TC4 alloy with and without tailoring backward parallel flow are conducted. The results reveal that, compared with flat jet electrochemical milling without tailoring backward parallel flow, the recommended tool reduces the surface roughness by86% to 93%, and improves the material removal rate by 93% to 163% with different feed ***, the recommended tool is more conducive to maintaining the inherent hardness of the material. Finally, a surface with low Sa of 0.37 μm is obtained.

The mission of“Establishment of Zero-Pollution Earth”defined by United Nations Environment Programme aims at creation of a clean,safe and prosperous home for all human *** is of rational choice from each individual to protect our environment and demonstrates our great ambition to achieve our *** key message given in this article is that,zero pollution does not mean no discharge of pollutants and instead it can be achievable through optimizing and controlling a sound balance between pollutants discharge and capacities of decontamination through treatment and natural environmental accumulation,which can be termed as“Principle of Equilibrium”between pollution and *** on this principle,we propose and illustrate several key factors and synergistic pathways toward a pollution-free planet:quantitative determination on purification and wastewater;source control through green measures;minimization of negative side-effects;precise management through digitalized systems;and keeping sound balance between pollutants and natural *** should be noted that we would face a series of difficulties and challenges in moving forward to“Zero-Pollution Earth”.We should further develop theories,principles and tools to achieve the balance between quantity of pollutants and decontamination *** should work together to break through the bottleneck limited by“Principle of equilibrium”to establish new environmental remediation systems leading to“Zero-Pollution Earth”.

Comparison of the pathological characteristics of uninjured skin tissues of diabetic rodents and diabetic patients

Objective To study uninjured diabetic skin structure and compare the pathological characteristics of skin tissue from mouse and rat models of diabetes mellitus(DM)and humans with *** Establishing the DM C57BL/6J mice skin tissue models and db/db mice skin tissue models,as well as DM rat skin tissue *** tissues were collected from the animal models and DM *** biopsy specimens were stained with hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining,Masson trichrome staining and periodic acid-Schiff(PAS)***(1)Skin from mice with streptozotocin(STZ)-induced DM was thinner and had less hair than skin from control *** epidermis had abnormal keratinization and dermal collagen and elastin fibers were dense and significantly atrophied.(2)Compared with the control group,skin tissue from db/db mice was thinner and had less *** was no aberrant keratinization in the epidermis,and dermal collagen and elastin fibres were loose.(3)Skin tissue from rats with STZ-induced DM was significantly thinner than control *** epidermis had mildly abnormal keratinization,and the dermis layer was atrophied and partly *** focal lipofuscin was deposited.(4)Whole skin tissue from patients with diabetes was significantly thinner than skin from subjects without *** epidermis had mild hyper keratinization,and the dermal elastin fibers were atrophied,loose,irregular,and showed focal mucoid *** Uninjured DM skin tissues were thinner and more irregular than normal *** changes in rat DM skin were most like those seen in the skin of patients with DM.

By considering Radon measure solutions for boundary value problems of stationary non-isentropic compressible Euler equations on hypersonic-limit flows passing ramps with frictions on their boundaries, we construct solutions with density containing Dirac measures supported on the boundaries of the ramps, which represent the infinite-thin shock layers under different assumptions on the skin-frictions. We thus derive corresponding generalizations of the celebrated Newton-Busemann law in hypersonic aerodynamics for distributions of drags/lifts on ramps.
