Effects of Helicobacter pylori and Moluodan on the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in mice with precancerous gastric cancer lesions

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)is the primary risk factor for gastric cancer(GC),the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway is closely linked to *** has a high mortality rate and treatment cost,and there are no drugs to prevent the progression of gastric precancerous lesions to ***,it is necessary to find a novel drug that is inexpensive and preventive to against *** To explore the effects of *** and Moluodan on the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway and precancerous lesions of GC(PLGC).METHODS Mice were divided into the control,N-methyl-N-nitrosourea(MNU),***+MNU,and Moluodan *** first created an *** infection model in the ***+MNU and Moluodan groups.A PLGC model was created in the remaining three groups except for the control *** was fed to mice in the Moloudan group ad *** general condition of mice were observed during the whole experiment *** tissues of mice were grossly and microscopically *** quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)and Western blotting analysis,the expression of relevant genes were *** Mice in the ***+MNU group showed the worst performance in general condition,gastric tissue visual and microscopic observation,followed by the MNU group,Moluodan group and the control ***-PCR and Western blotting analysis were used to detect the expression of relevant genes,the results showed that the ***+MNU group had the highest expression,followed by the MNU group,Moluodan group and the control *** *** can activate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,thereby facilitating the development and progression of *** suppressed the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,thereby decreasing the progression of PLGC.

Exaggerated male pheromones in rats may increase predation cost

Male animals with more conspicuous visual and acoustic signals increase their mating success, but also increase the risk of being attacked by eavesdropping predators. In rodents, males with richer sex pheromones often have higher attractiveness to females, but whether or not the males are also at higher predation risk is poorly known. Here, we used 2 laboratory inbred strains of the rat Rattus norvegicus, Brown Norway （BN） and Lewis （LEW）, and wild-captured rats as odor donors to assess the relationship between the pheromone levels in male rats and attractiveness to domes- tic cats Felis catus. LEW rats had significantly higher levels of male pheromones （e.g., 4-heptanone, 2-heptanone, and 9-hydroxy-2-nonanone） than BN rats. Simultaneously, wild-captured male rats were selectively assigned to 2 groups （HIGH or LOW） based on pheromone content as determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry （GC-MS）. Binary choice tests were carried out during the night in the test room. We found that cats spent more time investigating male bedding and urine of LEW rats than the counterpart of BN rats. Likewise, cats also preferred bedding and urine odor of the HIGH wild rats compared with the counterparts of LOW wild rats. Adding synthetic ana- logs of the 3 pheromone ketones into the urine of either BN rats or LOW wild rats significantly increased their attractiveness to cats. Our data suggest that the rats with exaggerated male phero- mones more strongly attracted predators and thus as a consequence may suffer from elevated pre- dation risk.

Spatially Resolved N2（A3Σ＋u, ν=0） Decay Studies in the Pulsed Direct-Current Nitrogen Discharge using the Laser-Induced-Fluorescence Technique

We focus on the investigation of the spatial distribution and temporal evolution of N2（A3Σ＋u, ν=0） in a very early afterglow of a pulsed dc nitrogen discharge. The results indicate that a fast quenching process of N2（A3Σ＋u, ν=0） exists in the very early afterglow. We study the dependence of this fast quenching process on the discharge pressure 20–40 torr. It seems that this fast quenching behavior of N2（A3Σ＋u, ν=0） found in our experiment can be ascribed to the combined action of pooling reaction and collisions with N atoms through N2（A3Σ＋u）＋N2（A3Σ＋u）→ N2＊＋N2（N2＊=N2（B3Πg, C3Πu, C＇3Πu, C＂5Πu）） and N2（A3Σ＋u）＋N（4S）→N（2P）＋N2, respectively. Meanwhile, the decay studies of N2（A3Σ＋u, ν=0） near the anode and cathode infer that the production of N（4S） atoms does not distribute uniformly along the axis of the discharge gap at relatively low pressure, and this effect becomes gradually inconspicuous with the increasing discharge pressure.

Olefin polymerization is one of the most im portant chemical reactions in *** work presents a strategy that emphasizes the synergistic meta/poro-steric hindrance of N-aryl groups and electronic effects in newly synthesized neutral salicylaldiminato nickel *** nickel(Ⅱ)catalysts exhibit exceptional thermostability,ranging from 30℃to 130℃,demonstrating enhanced catalytic activities and broadly regulated polyethylene molecular weights(3-341 kg·mol^(-1))and controlled polymer branch density(2-102 brs/1000C).The preferred catalyst Ni3 with concerted steric and electronic effects enables the production of solid-state semi-crystalline polyethylene materials at temperatures below 90℃.Notably,Ni3 exhibits an impressive tolerance of 110℃and can withstand even the challenging polymerization temperature of 130℃,leading to the production of polyethylene wax and ***,functionalized polyethylene is produced.

Processing of a low-costγ-γ'NiPtAl coating with improved oxidation resistance

A novelγ-γ'(Ni solid solution—Ni_(3)Al)NiPtAl coating was produced on advanced single-crystal(SC)superalloy N5 by electroplating of a thin Pt coating with~3μm in thickness followed by heat treatment at 1000℃in *** comparison,a traditionalγ-γ'NiPtAl coating was also produced by electroplating of a thick Pt coating with~6μm in thickness followed by heat treatment at 1100℃in *** novel coating has a mass gain of~0.5 mg·cm^(-2)after 100 h 1-h cyclic oxidation at 1150℃,showing better oxidation resistance than the traditional *** oxide scale mostly consisting ofα-Al_(2)O_(3)grew on the novel coating because the element Cr from the SC alloy substrate contributes to the formation ofα-Al_(2)O_(3).Pt content in the novel coating has significant effect on the oxidation *** optimized Pt content in the coating is about 16 at%,which is helpful to reduce the diffusion of harmful elements from the substrate into the coating but also to reduce the cost of the coating.

The SARG04 quantum key distribution protocol can offer greater robustness against photon number splitting attacks than the BB84 protocol that is implemented with weak *** this paper,we propose a tight key analysis for the SARG04 protocol,by considering the one-decoy method and investigating its performance under the influence of a detector *** results demonstrate that an increase in block size leads to a slight increase in both the secure key rate and the maximum transmission ***,the detector afterpulse plays a crucial role in practical applications and has a more pronounced effect on the SARG04 protocol compared to the BB84 protocol.

A Degree Condition for Graphs Having All(a,b)-parity Factors

Let a and b be positive integers such that a≤b and a≡b(mod 2).We say that G has all(a,b)-parity factors if G has an h-factor for every function h:V(G)→{a,a+2,…,b-2,b} with b|V(G)| even and h(v)≡b(mod 2) for all v∈V(G).In this paper,we prove that every graph G with n≥2(b+1)(a+b) vertices has all(a,b)-parity factors if δ(G)≥(b^(2)-b)/a,and for any two nonadjacent vertices u,v ∈V(G),max{d_(G)(u),d_(G)(v)}≥bn/a+***,we show that this result is best possible in some sense.

Background:Cancer-related fatigue(CRF)is a common and debilitating symptom experienced by patients with advanced-stage cancer,especially those undergoing antitumor *** study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Renshenguben(RSGB)oral solution,a ginseng-based traditional Chinese medicine,in alleviating CRF in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)receiving antitumor ***:In this prospective,open-label,controlled,multicenter study,patients with advanced HCC at BCLC stage C and a brief fatigue inventory(BFI)score of≥4 were *** were assigned to the RSGB group(RSGB,10 mL twice daily)or the control group(with supportive care).Primary and secondary endpoints were the change in multidimensional fatigue inventory(MFI)score,and BFI and functional assessment of cancer therapy-hepatobiliary(FACT-Hep)scores at weeks 4 and 8 after *** events(AEs)and toxicities were ***:A total of 409 participants were enrolled,with 206 assigned to the RSGB *** week 4,there was a trend towards improvement,but the differences were not statistically *** week 8,the RSGB group exhibited a significantly lower MFI score(P<0.05)compared to the control group,indicating improved fatigue ***,the RSGB group showed significantly greater decrease in BFI and FACT-Hep scores at week 8(P<0.05).Subgroup analyses among patients receiving various antitumor treatments showed similar *** linear regression analyses revealed that the RSGB group experienced a significantly substantial decrease in MFI,BFI,and FACT-Hep scores at week *** serious drug-related AEs or toxicities were ***:RSGB oral solution effectively reduced CRF in patients with advanced HCC undergoing antitumor therapy over an eight-week period,with no discernible *** findings support the potential of RSGB oral solution as an adjunctive treatment for managing CRF in this patient population.

Ensemble projections of climate and streamflow in a typical basin of semi-arid steppes in Mongolian Plateau of 2021-2100

The Kherlen River is the main water source for Hulun Lake,the largest lake in northern *** to reduced inflow from the Kherlen River,Hulun Lake experienced rapid shrinkage at the beginning of the 21st century,posing a serious threat to the ecological security of northern ***,there is still a significant lack of projections regarding future climate change and its hydrological response in the Kherlen River *** study analyzed the projected climate and streamflow changes in the Kherlen River basin,a vital yet vulnerable international semi-arid steppes type basin.A combination of multi-model ensemble projection techniques,and the soil and water assessment tool(SWAT)model was employed to examine the spatio-temporal changes in precipitation,temperature,streamflow,and the associated uncertainties in the *** temperature(an increase of 1.84-6.42℃)and the precipitation(an increase of 15.0-46.0 mm)of Kherlen River basin are projected to increase by 2100,leading to a rise in streamflow(1.08-4.78 m^(3) s^(-1)).The upstream of the Kherlen River exhibits remarkable increasing trends in precipitation,which has a dominant influence on streamflow of Kherlen *** increases in streamflow are observed in April,August,September,and October compared to the reference period(1971-2000).These findings suggest a partial alleviation of water scarcity in the Kherlen River,but also an increased likelihood of hydrological extreme *** projected temperature increase in the Kherlen River basin exhibits the smallest uncertainty,while more pronounced uncertainties are found in precipitation and *** spread among the results of CMIP6 models is greater than that of CMIP5 models,with lower signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)values for temperature,precipitation,and streamflow.
