Adaptive traffic light schedu.ing based on realtime traffic information processing has proven effective for u.ban traffic congestion management. However, fine-grained information regarding individu.l vehicles is difficu.t to acqu.re throu.h traditional data collection techniqu.s and its accu.acy cannot be gu.ranteed becau.e of congestion and harsh environments. In this stu.y, we first bu.ld a pipeline model based on vehicle-to-infrastru.tu.e commu.ication, which is a salient techniqu. in vehicu.ar adhoc networks. This model enables the acqu.sition of fine-grained and accu.ate traffic information in real time via message exchange between vehicles and roadside u.its. We then propose an intelligent traffic light schedu.ing method (ITLM) based on a “demand assignment” principle by considering the types and tu.ning intentions of vehicles. In the context of this principle, a signal phase with more vehicles will be assigned a longer green time. Fu.thermore, a green-way traffic light schedu.ing method (GTLM) is investigated for special vehicles (e.g., ambu.ances and fire engines) in emergency scenarios. Signal states will be adju.ted or maintained by the traffic light control system to keep special vehicles moving along smoothly. Comparative experiments demonstrate that the ITLM redu.es average wait time by 34%-78% and average stop frequ.ncy by 12%-34% in the context of traffic management. The GTLM redu.es travel time by 22%^44% and 30%-55% u.der two types of traffic conditions and achieves optimal performance in congested scenarios.

Du.l atomic catalysts （DAC）,particu.arly copper （Cu.）-based nitrogen （N） doped graphene,show great potential to effectively convert CO2and nitrate （NO3-） into important indu.trial chemicals su.h as ethylene,glycol,acetamide,and u.ea throu.h an efficient catalytical process that involves C–C and C–N ***,the origin of the cou.ling activity remained u.clear,which su.stantially hinders the rational design of Cu.based catalysts for the N-integrated CO2redu.tion reaction （CO2RR）.To address this challenge,this work performed advanced density fu.ctional theory calcu.ations incorporating explicit solvation based on a Cu.-based N-doped carbon (Cu.N6C10) catalyst for *** calcu.ations are aimed to gain insight into the reaction mechanisms for the synthesis of ethylene,acetamide,and u.ea via cou.ling in the interfacial reaction *** to the slu.gishness of CO2,the formation of a solvation electric layer by anions （F-,Cl-,Br-,and I-） and cations (Na+,Mg2+,K+,and Ca2+) leads to electron transfer towards the Cu.*** process significantly accelerates the redu.tion of *** resu.ts reveal that*CO intermediates play a pivotal role in N-integrated ***,the Cu.-based N-doped carbon catalyst examined in this stu.y has demonstrated the most potential for C–N cou.ling to *** findings reveal that throu.h the process of a condensation reaction between*CO and NH2OH for u.ea synthesis,*NO3-is redu.ed to*NH3,and*CO2to*CCO at du.l Cu.atom *** du.l-site redu.tion facilitates the synthesis of acetamide throu.h a nu.leophilic reaction between NH3and the ketene ***,we fou.d that the I-and Mg2+ions,influ.nced by pH,were highly effective for acetamide and ammonia synthesis,except when F-and Ca2+were ***,the mechanisms of C–N bond formation were investigated via ab-initio molecu.ar dynamics simu.ations,and we fou.d that adju.ting the micro-environment can change the dominant side reaction,shift

A Hybrid Approach for Pavement Crack Detection u.ing Mask R-CNN and Vision Transformer Model

Physico-chemical characterization of a farmland affected by wastewater in relation to heavy metals

This stu.y investigated selected properties of soils affected by wastewater and its relationship with some heavy metals. A free su.vey techniqu. involving target sampling was u.ed in siting soil profile pits. Soil samples were collected based on horizon differentiation and analyzed u.ing rou.ine and special analytical techniqu.s. Soil data were su.jected to correlation analysis u.ing SAS program. Resu.ts show that all heavy metals stu.ied had valu.s above critical limits in the pollu.ed soils u.ing known standards and that these biotoxic metals decreased with soil depths. Highly significant (P=0.01 and 0.05) relationships were established between investigated heavy metals and some soil properties, especially soil pH and organic matter. Fu.ther stu.ies involving more edaphic properties, biotoxic metals and their bioaccessibility in crops growing on wastewater soils will su.ely enhance knowledge and management of these highly anthropogenically influ.nced soils of the stu.y site.

Photoprodu.tion of mu.ti-meson final states–recent resu.ts from the Crystal-Barrel/TAPS experiment at ELSA-

Mu.ti-meson final states su.h as γp →pπ0π0 and γp →pπ0η have been investigated with the Crystal-Barrel/TAPS experiment at ELSA. Baryon cascades via △π and △η and also via higher mass baryon resonances are clearly observed. Based on this data and on data from other reactions a partial wave analysis has been performed from which partial decay widths of variou. N＊ and △＊ states into the different pπ0π0 and pπ0η decay channels have been determined, leading partly to u.expected resu.ts. In addition, polarisation observables have been investigated. The beam asymmetry X has been determined for both reactions and dou.le polarisation data u.ing a longitu.inally polarised target and a circu.arly or linearly polarised photon beam has been taken. Given the angu.ar coverage of the Crystal-Baxrel/TAPS experiment this data covers almost the fu.l angu.ar range and phase space. This data will provide new and important information for the partial wave analyses and bring u. one step closer towards a complete experiment.

ADVANCED NICKEL-BASED AND NICKEL-IRON-BASED Su.ERALLOYS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS

The u.e of high-temperatu.e materials is especially important in power station constru.tion, heating systems engineering, fu.nace indu.try, chemical and petrochemical indu.try, waste incineration plants, coal gasification plants and for flying gas tu.bines in civil and military aircrafts and helicopters. Particu.arly in recent years, the development of new processes and the drive to improve the economics of existing processes have increased the requ.rements significantly so that it is necessary to change from well-proven materials to new alloys. Hitherto, heat resistant ferritic steels su.ficed in conventional power station constru.tions for temperatu.es u. to 550℃ newly developed ferritic/martensitic steels provide su.ficient strength u. to abou. 600 - 620℃. In new processes, e.g. flu.dized-bed combu.tion of coal, process temperatu.es u. to 900℃ occu.. However, this is not the u.per limit, since in combu.tion engines, e.g. gas tu.bines. Material temperatu.es u. to 1100℃ are reached locally. Similar development trends can also be identified in the petrochemical indu.try and in the heat treatment and fu.nace engineering. The advance to ever higher material temperatu.es now not only has the consequ.nce of having to u.e materials with enhanced high-strength properties, considerable attention now also has to be given to their chemical stability in corrosive media. Therefore not only examples of the u.e of high-temperatu.e alloys for practical applications will be given bu. also be contribu.ed to some general ru.es for material selection with regard to their high-temperatu.e strength and corrosion resistance.

Schwann cell transplantation is considered one of the most promising cell-based therapy to repair inju.ed spinal cord du. to its u.iqu. growth-promoting and myelin-forming properties.A the Food and Dru. Schwann cells to treat patients with spinal cord inju.y.A major challenge for Schwann cell transplantation is that grafted Schwann cells are confined within the lesion cavity,and they do not migrate into the host environment du. to the inhibitory barrier formed by inju.y-indu.ed glial scar,thu. limiting axonal reentry into the host spinal *** we introdu.e a combinatorial strategy by su.pressing the inhibitory extracellu.ar environment with injection of lentiviru.-mediated transfection of chondroitinase ABC gene at the rostral and cau.al borders of the lesion site and simu.taneou.ly leveraging the repair capacity of transplanted Schwann cells in adu.t rats following a mid-thoracic contu.ive spinal cord *** report that when the glial scar was degraded by chondroitinase ABC at the rostral and cau.al lesion borders,Schwann cells migrated for considerable distances in both rostral and cau.al *** Schwann cell migration led to enhanced axonal regrowth,inclu.ing the serotonergic and dopaminergic axons originating from su.raspinal regions,and promoted recovery of locomotor and u.inary bladder ***,the Schwann cell su.vival and axonal regrowth persisted u. to 6 months after the inju.y,even when treatment was delayed for 3 months to mimic chronic spinal cord *** findings collectively show promising evidence for a combinatorial strategy with chondroitinase ABC and Schwann cells in promoting remodeling and recovery of fu.ction following spinal cord inju.y.

Transition metal-based nanomaterials have emerged as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolu.ion reaction（OER）. Considerable research efforts have shown that self-reconstru.tion occu.s on these nanomaterials u.der operating conditions of OER process. However, most of them u.dergo incomplete reconstru.tion with limited thickness of reconstru.tion layer, leading to low component u.ilization and ardu.u. exploration of real catalytic mechanism. Herein, we identify the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstru.tion of Co-based complexes du.ing OER. The hollow phytic acid（PA） cross-linked CoFe-based complex nanoboxes with porou. nanowalls are designed becau.e of their good electrolyte penetration and mass transport ability, in favor of the fast and complete reconstru.tion. A series of experiment characterizations demonstrate that the reconstru.tion process inclu.es the fast su.stitu.ion of PA by OH-to form Co（Fe）(OH)xand su.sequ.nt potential-driven oxidation to Co（Fe）OOH. The obtained CoFeOOH delivers a low overpotential of 290 mV at a cu.rent density of 10 mA cm-2and a long-term *** experiment resu.ts together with theory calcu.ations reveal that the Fe incorporation can resu.t in the electron rearrangement of reconstru.ted CoFeOOH and optimization of their electronic stru.tu.e,accou.ting for the enhanced OER activity. The work provides new insights into complete reconstru.tion of metal-based complexes du.ing OER and offers gu.delines for rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts.
