The mutngenicity of urine from individua1s exposed to the combustion products of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was detected with Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and its newly developed derivatives YG1021 (nitroreductase overproducing) and YG1024 (O-acetyltransferase overproducing). The detection showed significantly increased mutagenicity for the two YG strains and increased positive rates for all three stralns in the presence of both rat liver S9 and β-glucuronidase. Further analysis demonstrated that urine samples taken from smoking and non-smoking exposed individuals exhibited significantly higher mutagenic potency (revertants/10 μl urine concentrate) than their corresponding controls. These results indicate that the increased urine mutagenicity is caused by the exposure to LPG combustion products or smoking. The mutagenic potency of urine samples of all exposed individuals tested with YG1024 was found to be about 7 times higher than with TA98. The difference in mutagenic potency was smaller for the sarne samples when comparison was made between YG1021 and TA98. This suggests that the mutagenic compounds present in the urine samples contaln mainly arotnatic compounds as glucuronide conugates. our results demonstrate that YG1024 is more sensitive than TA98 in detecting the mutagenicity of these samples. In addition, no significant difference in the mutagenic poency between the' pure' exposed (non-srnokers') and the ' pure' smokers' (unexpeed) samples was found in all three tester strains. This might mean that the exopure extent Of mutagens/carcinogens in LPG combustion products for exmped individuals roughly corresponds to the smoking level of smokers who smoke 20-40 cigarettes per day. Furthermore, the results also suggest that sguergism might exist in the mutagenic effects of exposure to LPG combustion products and cigarette smoking.

Spodoptera frugiperda(Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)is an important migratory agricultural pest worldwide,which has invaded many countries in the Old World since 2016 and now poses a serious threat to world food *** present monitoring and early warning strategies for the fall army worm(FAW)mainly focus on adult population density,but lack an information technology platform for precisely forecasting the reproductive dynamics of the *** this study,to identify the developmental status of the adults,we first utilized female ovarian images to extract and screen five features combined with the support vector machine(SVM)classifier and employed male testes images to obtain the testis circular ***,we established models for the relationship between oviposition dynamics and the developmental time of adult reproductive organs using laboratory *** results show that the accuracy of female ovary development stage determination reached 91%.The mean standard error(MSE)between the actual and predicted values of the ovarian developmental time was 0.2431,and the mean error rate between the actual and predicted values of the daily oviposition quantity was 12.38%.The error rate for the recognition of testis diameter was 3.25%,and the predicted and actual values of the testis developmental time in males had an MSE of 0.7734.A WeChat applet for identifying the reproductive developmental state and predicting reproduction of *** was developed by integrating the above research results,and it is now available for use by anyone involved in plant *** study developed an automated method for accurately forecasting the reproductive dynamics of *** populations,which can be helpful for the construction of a population monitoring and early warning system for use by both professional experts and local people at the county level.

In this paper, we propose a product image retrieval method based on the object contour corners, image texture and color. The product image mainly highlights the object and its background is very simple. According to these characteristics, we represent the object using its contour, and detect the corners of contour to reduce the number of pixels. Every corner is described using its approximate curvature based on distance. In addition, the Block Difference of Inverse Probabilities (BDIP) and Block Variation of Local Correlation (BVLC) texture features and color moment are extracted from image's HIS color space. Finally, dynamic time warping method is used to match features with different length. In order to demonstrate the effect of the proposed method, we carry out experiments in Mi-crosoft product image database, and compare it with other feature descriptors. The retrieval precision and recall curves show that our method is feasible.

SrTiO3（STO） and TiO2 are insulating materials with large dielectric constants and opposite signs of the quadratic coefficient of voltage（α）. Insertion of a TiO2 thin film between STO layers increases the linearity of the capacitance in response to an applied voltage, to meet the increasing demand of large-capacitance-density dynamic random access memory capacitors. Both STO and TiO2 suffer from the problem of high leakage current owing to their almost equivalent and low bandgap energies. To overcome this, the thickness of the thin TiO2 film sandwiched between the STO films was varied. A magnetron sputtering system equipped with radio frequency and direct current power supply was employed for depositing the thin films. Ti N was deposited as the top and bottom metal electrodes to form a metal–insulator metal（MIM） structure,which exhibited a very large linear capacitance density of 21 fF/um-2 that decreased by increasing the thickness of the TiO2 film. The leakage current decreased with an increase in the thickness of TiO2, and for a 27-nm-thick film, the measured leakage current was 2.0 × 10^-10 A. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy revealed that Ti N, STO, and TiO2 films are crystalline and TiO2 has a dominant anatese phase structure.

Purpose-This study examines the career and educational search competencies(CESC),a capability which may be necessary for a successful transition from high school to work or postsecondary education,of students from Shanghai and Hong ***/Approach/Methods-The data for this study was taken from the Main Study of PISA 2012 in Shanghai and Hong *** analysis was used to examine the relative impact of different forms of career and educational exploratory activities on students’***-Results showed a consistent pattern of socio-economic inequality in student’s self-reported CESC in the two Chinese cities,which was largely mediated by the family capital or ***,career and educational exploratory activities initiated by schools,enterprises or the students themselves were found to have significant positive associations with CESC regardless of socioeconomic ***/Value-The paper provides empirical evidence for enhancing students’career search capacity through engaging in career exploration in the face of structural *** light of this,the roles of schools,business sectors,and governments in students’capacity building are discussed.

Qianlong Xuan paper, lost two hundred years ago, was reproduced by engineers in Red-Star Xuan Paper Limited Liability Company of China. Its remarkable performance and profound historical value are highly regarded by artists and the paper commands very high price in the commercial market. Ink penetrates and spreads optimally in the paper and the words exhibit clear edges with small fluctuations because of the desirable wettability and wicking. These characteristics make it stand out from three Xuan paper samples. The good wettahility, verified by contact angle measurements, is an essential prerequisite to strong wicking. Attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy is performed to determine the chemical structure of Qianlong Xuan paper and the relatively large hydrogen bonding ratio contributes to the hydrophilicity. The microstructure investigated by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy reveals wide fibers and a uniform fiber arrangement with good connectivity, dense network, as well as rough fiber surface. These unique properties endow Qianlong Xuan paper with strong wicking to improve the ink expression.

Methotrexate(MTX)is one of the most consumed anti-cancer drugs in the pharmaceutical market around the *** widespread occurrence of MTX in aquatic environment through hospital effluent has attracted increasing concern due to its potential to induce water *** the present study,the degradation of MTX in aqueous medium was investigated by UV-activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS).A significant improvement in degradation rate by increasing UV intensity and PMS concentration while the decrease in degradation efficiency with the increase of solution p H and initial concentration of MTX was *** proposed UV/PMS process could achieve more than 90%MTX degradation in 30 min with a good mineralization degree(65%).A pseudofirst order kinetic model was employed and successfully predicted the degradation of *** effect of other operational parameters such as the initial concentration of the targeted compound,dosage of oxidant(PMS),solution p H and UV intensity on the degradation rate were *** the last,the main transform intermediates were identified using LC–MS and possible degradation pathways were *** results show that UV/PMS can be used as an efficient technology to treat pharmaceuticals such as methotrexate containing water and wastewater.
