The mixed spin P-fields （MSP for short） theory sets up a geometric platform to relate Gromov-Witten invariants of the quintic three-fold and Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten invariants of the quintic polynomial in five variables. It starts with Wittens vision and the P-fields treatment of GW invariants and FJRW invaxiants. Then it briefly discusses the master space technique and its application to the set-up of the MSP moduli. Some key results in MSP theory are explained and some examples are provided.

As the simple dispersion model tested is not sufficiently accurate to predict the SO2 concentration in complex terrain commonly encountered amongst high rise buildings in Hong kong, and the lack of comprehensive local wind data at most sites prevents the use of more advanced dispersion model to assess the impact of major air pollutant sources, a receptor model approach is adopted for the apportionment of air pollution sources in Hong kong. The preliminary results obtained are presented and discussed.

The persistent COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 has brought an enormous public health burden to the global society and is accompanied by various evolution of the virus *** consistently emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants harboring critical mutations impact the molecular characteristics of viral proteins and display heterogeneous behaviors in immune evasion,transmissibility,and the clinical manifestation during infection,which differ each strain and endow them with distinguished features during populational *** SARS-CoV-2 variants,identified as Variants of Concern(VOC)by the World Health Organization,challenged global efforts on COVID-19 control due to the rapid worldwide spread and enhanced immune evasion from current antibodies and ***,the recent Omicron variant even exacerbated the global anxiety in the continuous *** significant evasion from current medical treatment and disease control even highlights the necessity of combinatory investigation of the mutational pattern and influence of the mutations on viral dynamics against populational immunity,which would greatly facilitate drug and vaccine development and benefit the global public health *** in this review,we summarized the molecular characteristics,immune evasion,and impacts of the SARSCoV-2 variants and focused on the parallel comparison of different variants in mutational profile,transmissibility and tropism alteration,treatment effectiveness,and clinical manifestations,in order to provide a comprehensive landscape for SARS-CoV-2 variant research.

Lipid nanoparticles(LNPs)have emerged as highly effective delivery systems for nucleic acid-based ***,the broad clinical translation of LNP-based drugs is hampered by the lack of robust and scalable synthesis techniques that can consistently produce formulations from early development to clinical *** this work,we proposed a method to achieve scalable synthesis of LNPs by scaling inertial microfluidic mixers isometrically in three ***,a theoretical predictive method,which controls the mixing time to be equal across different chips,is developed to ensure consistent particle size and size distribution of the synthesized *** loaded with small interfering RNA(siRNA)were synthesized at different flow rates,exhibiting consistent physical properties,including particle size,size distribution and encapsulation *** work provides a practical approach for scalable synthesis of LNPs consistently,offering the potential to accelerate the transition of nucleic acid drug development into clinical application.

We present a theoretical investigation of Majorana zero mode(MZM)assisted spin pumping which consists of a quantum dot(QD)and two normal *** the coupling between the MZM and the QD is absent,*** spin current can be excited by a rotating magnetic field where low energy spin down electrons are flipped to high energy spin up electrons by absorbing ***,when the coupling is turned on,the *** spin current vanishes,and an *** current emerges with its magnitude independent of the coupling *** reveal that this change is due to the formation of a highly localized MZM assisted topological Andreev state at the Fermi level,which allows only the injection of electron pairs with opposite spin into the *** absorbing or emitting photons,the electron pairs are separated to opposite spin electrons,and then return back to the lead again,generating an *** current without spin *** demonstrate the switching from *** spin current to *** current based on both Kitaev model and a more realistic topological superconductor *** this switching can also be induced by partially separated Andreev bound state(ps-ABS)in the topological trivial phase,it is extremely unstable and highly sensitive to the Zeeman field,which is different from the switching induced by *** result suggests that quantum spin pumping may be a feasible local transport method for detecting the presence of MZMs at the ends of a superconducting nanowire.

The microbial communities colonized on microplastics(MPs)have attracted widespread ***,few studies focused on the MPs impacts on mangrove ecosystems,particularly on bacterial *** investigated the MPs pollution in mangrove of Zhujiang(Pearl)River estuary(ZRE).To study the potential risk posed by MPs to the mangrove ecosystems,the differences in bacterial communities,functions,and complexity between MPs and sediment samples were reported for the first ***(2991±1586 items/kg dry weight(dw))in sediment were mainly fibers and polyethylene,mostly transparent,and in size less than 0.5 *** communities and functions significantly differed from MPs in mangrove *** with sediment,MPs significantly enriched members of Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,and Actinobacteria,as well as the bacteria associated with plastic-degrading and human diseases on their surface,suggesting that microbial communities on MPs may promote MPs degradation and the spread of diseases,posing potential risk to mangrove ecosystems and human *** bacteria on MPs exhibited a lower diversity,the co-occurrence network analysis indicated that network of bacteria colonized on MPs was bigger and more complex than those of mangrove sediment,illustrating that MPs can act as a distinct habitat in this special *** study provides a new perspective for increasing our understanding of microplastic pollution in mangrove ecosystems.
