Prior research suggests a link between circulating lev.ls of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and prostate cancer *** lev.ls may also explain some of the observ.d differences in cardiov.scular ev.nts among men treated with gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)antagonists compared to GnRH *** study ev.luates the association between preoperativ. FSH and long-term cardiov.scular and oncologic outcomes in a cohort of men with long follow-up after radical *** performed a cohort study utilizing an institutional biobank with annotated clinical *** lev.ls were measured from cryopreserv.d plasma and compared with sex steroids prev.ously measured from the same *** in oncologic outcomes between tertiles of FSH lev.ls were compared using adjusted cox regression *** adv.rse cardiov.scular ev.nts(MACE)were similarly assessed using hospital admission diagnostic codes.A total of 492 patients were included,with a median follow-up of 13.1(interquartile range:8.9–15.9)*** sulfate(DHEA-S)lev.ls,but not other androgens,negativ.ly correlated with FSH lev.ls on linear regression analysis(P=0.03).There was no association between FSH tertile and outcomes of biochemical recurrence,time to castrate-resistant prostate cancer,or time to *** were identified in 50 patients(10.2%),with a mean time to first ev.nt of 8.8 *** association with FSH tertile and occurrence of MACE was *** results do not suggest that preoperativ. FSH lev.ls are significantly associated with oncologic outcomes among prostate cancer patients treated with radical prostatectomy,nor do these lev.ls appear to be predictors of long-term cardiov.scular risk.

The Southern Great Xing’an Range (SGXR) which forms part of the eastern segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) is known as one of the most important Cu-Mo-Pb-Zn-Ag-Au metallogenic belts in China,hosting a number of porphyry Mo (Cu),skarn Fe (Sn),epithermal Au-Ag,and hydrothermal v.intype Ag-Pb-Zn ore *** we inv.stigate the Bianjiadayuan hydrothermal v.in-type Ag-Pb-Zn ore deposit in the southern part of the *** Sn ±Cu ± Mo mineralization is also dev.loped to the west of the Ag-Pb-Zn v.ins in the ore *** identify a fiv.-stage mineralization process based on field and petrologic studies including (i) the early porphyry mineralization stage,(ii) main porphyry mineralization stage,(iii) transition mineralization stage,(iv. v.in-type mineralization stage and (v. late mineralization *** is the predominant sulfide mineral in all stages except in the late mineralization stage,and we identify corresponding four types of pyrites: Py1 is medium-grained subhedral to euhedral occurring in the early barren quartz v.in;Py2 is medium- to fine-grained euhedral pyrite mainly coexisting with molybdenite,chalcopyrite,minor sphalerite and galena;Py3 is fine-grained,subhedral to irregular pyrite and displays cataclastic textures with micro-fractures;Py4 occurs as euhedral microcrystals and forms irregularly shaped aggregate with sphalerite and ***-ICP-MS trace element analyses of pyrite show that Cu,Pb,Zn,Ag,Sn,Cd and Sb are partitioned into pyrite as structurally bound metals or mineral micro/nano-inclusions,whereas Co,Ni,As and Se enter the lattice v.a isomorphism in all types of *** Cu,Zn,Ag,Cd concentrations gradually increase from Py1 to Py4,which we correlate with cooling and mixing of ore-forming fluid with meteoric ***2 contains the highest contents of Co,Ni,Se,Te and Bi,suggesting high temperature conditions for the porphyry mineralization *** of Co/Ni (0.03-10.79,av.rage 2.13) and sulphur isotope compositio

The Effects of Stabilized Urea and Split-Applied Nitrogen on Sunflower Yield and Oil Content

Sunflower is an efficient nitrogen (N) accumulator due to its aggressiv. taproot and extensiv. root system. While N rate studies in sunflower hav. shown a yield response, the response is often highly v.riable and difficult to predict in many instances. Additionally, since most sunflower production is intended for the oil market, surplus nitrogen tends to decrease oil content. Therefore, it is critical to hone nitrogen rates to maximize both yield and oil production and to incorporate alternativ. approaches to fertilizer application, which includes timing and method of application. The objectiv. of the present study was to assess the efficacy of a split-application of N at either the v. or R1 growth stage to increase yield and/or oil content in sunflower. A second objectiv. was to examine whether a urease inhibitor could be used to retain soil N longer and achiev. a similar effect as a split-application. Studies were conducted at two locations ov.r two growing seasons in South Dakota, USA. A target rate of 90 kg·ha-1 was applied as urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) either as an at-planting application or split-applied. Ov.rall, N additions did significantly increase yield ov.r a control. On av.rage, the urease inhibitor tended to increase grain yields ov.r split-applying N at either growth stage, howev.r, there was no statistical effect on either grain yield or oil content. Based on 15N analysis, approximately 27% of the N in the grain was deriv.d from the UAN fertilizer, which indicates a relativ.ly large reliance upon soil N for grain N content. The addition of a urease inhibitor significantly increased av.rage fertilizer uptake by nearly 6% to 32.7%.

A graph G=(v.E) is representable if there exists a word W ov.r the alphabet v.such that letters x and y alternate in W if and only if (x ,y) is in E for each x not equal to y . The motiv.tion to study representable graphs came from algebra, but this subject is interesting from graph theoretical, computer science, and combinatorics on words points of v.ew. In this paper, we prov. that for n greater than 3, the line graph of an n-wheel is non-representable. This not only prov.des a new construction of non-repre- sentable graphs, but also answers an open question on representability of the line graph of the 5-wheel, the minimal non-representable graph. Moreov.r, we show that for n greater than 4, the line graph of the complete graph is also non-representable. We then use these facts to prov. that giv.n a graph G which is not a cycle, a path or a claw graph, the graph obtained by taking the line graph of G k-times is guaranteed to be non-representable for k greater than 3.

This paper rev.ews the mineralogical and chemical characteristics of clays found in southern part of Nigeria,with a v.ew to determine its *** usability of clays,depends on its chemical and mineralogical charactertics,the end product of clay after it is been processed is also based on it’s *** rev.ewed literature,it was observ.d that sampled clay within the study area were analyzed using the XRD,XRF and ICP-MS *** findings also rev.aled that the dominant clay minerals within the study area include montmorillonite,illite,and *** the other hand,it was observ.d that non-clay minerals such as feldspar,quartz,dickite and many others were found with clay as rev.aled by sev.ral schol*** chemical charactertics of clay consists mainly of Al2O3,K2O,CaO and SiO2,with other major oxides such as P2O5,MgO,Fe2O3,TiO2,MnO and *** trace elements such Be,Ba,Sc,Sr,Zr,v.and Y were reported to be present in clays deposit found in selected part of Ogun *** rev.ewed articles,it was observ.d that mineralogical and chemical charactertics of clay make it suitable for pharmaceutical,textile,cosmetic and polymer industries,but considered to be fairly suitable for oil and gas industry.

ABSTRACT Embedding submicrocav.ties is an effectiv. approach to improv. the light out-coupling efficiency(LOCE)for planar perov.kite light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs).In this work,we employ phenethylammonium iodide(PEAI)to trigger the Ostwald ripening for the downward recrystallization of perov.kite,resulting in spontaneous formation of buried submicrocav.ties as light output *** simulation suggests the buried submicrocav.ties can improv. the LOCE from 26.8 to 36.2%for near-infrared ***,PeLED yields peak external quantum efficiency(EQE)increasing from 17.3%at current density of 114 mA cm^(−2)to 25.5%at current density of 109 mA cm^(−2)and a radiance increasing from 109 to 487 W sr^(−1)m^(−2)with low *** turn-on v.ltage decreased from 1.25 to 1.15 v.at 0.1 W sr^(−1)m^(−2).Besides,downward recrystallization process slightly reduces the trap density from 8.90×10^(15)to 7.27×10^(15)cm^(−3).This work prov.des a self-assembly method to integrate buried output coupler for boosting the performance of PeLEDs.

P2X7 purinoceptor promotes surv.v.l or cytotoxicity depending on extraceUular adenosine triphosphate （ATP） stimulus Intensity controlling its ion channel or P2X7-dependent large pore （LP） functions. Mechanisms gov.rning this operational div.rgence and functional idiosyncrasy are ill-understood. We hav. discov.red a feedback loop where sustained activ.tion of P2X7 triggers release of activ. matrix metalloproteinase 2 （MMP-2）, which halts ion channel and LP responses v.a the MMP-2-dependent receptor cleav.ge. This mechanism operates in cells as div.rse as macrophages, dystrophic myoblasts, P2X7-transfected HEK293, and human tumour cells. Giv.n that serum-born MMP-2 activ.ty also blocked receptor functions, P2X7 responses in v.v. may decrease in organs with permeable capillaries. Therefore, this mechanism represents an Important fine-tuning of P2X7 functions, reliant on both cell-autonomous and extraneous factors. Indeed, it allowed ev.sion from the ATP-induced cv.otoxicity in macrophages and human cancer ceils with high P2X7 expression lev.ls. Finally, we demonstrate that P2X7 ablation eliminated getatinase activ.ty in inflamed dystrophic muscles in v.v.. Thus, P2X7 antagonists could be used as an alternativ. to highly toxic MMP inhibitors in treatments of inflammatory diseases and cancers.
