We live in an era of rapid urbanization as many cities are experiencing an unprecedented rate of population growth and *** transport is playing an increasingly important role in urban mobility with a need to move people and goods efficiently around the *** such pressures on existing public transportation systems,this paper investigates the opportunities to use social media to more effectively engage with citizens and customers using such *** research forms a case study of the use of passively collected forms of big data in cities-focusing on sydney,***,it examines social media data(Tweets)related to public transport ***,it joins this to longitudinal big data-delay information continuously broadcast by the network over a year,thus forming hundreds of millions of data ***,tones,and sentiment are modeled using machine learning and Natural Language Processing(NLP)*** resulting data,and models,are compared to opinions derived from a citizen survey among *** validity of such data and models versus the intentions of users,in the context of systems that monitor and improve transport performance,are *** such,key recommendations for developing smart Cities were formed in an applied research context based on these data and techniques.

A series of treaties between Lebanon and syria on the use of the Orontes (‘Assi) River’s flows emerged in the mid-1990s, being reformed twice to result in a finalized 2002 agreement allocating Lebanon 96 million cubic meters (MCM) out of 403 MCM as measured at the Hermel Bridge gauge. Focusing on the area south of Ar-Rastan, syria, this article seeks to explore these treaties’ treatment of groundwater, ultimately demonstrating that it is not sufficiently accounted for. This allows for intensive groundwater abstractions—which may be beyond the aquifer’s recharge rate—to be undertaken in syria. The paper concludes with recommendations to better manage the basin’s groundwater resources, which include improving groundwater data, using these data to calibrate improved hydrologic models, and a renegotiation of the treaty to better account for groundwater use.

On the Cosmic Evolution of the Quantum Vacuum Using Two Variable G Models and Winterberg’s Thesis

We work within a Winterberg framework where space, i.e., the vacuum, consists of a two component superfluid/super-solid made up of a vast assembly (sea) of positive and negative mass Planck particles, called planckions. These material particles interact indirectly, and have very strong restoring forces keeping them a finite distance apart from each other within their respective species. Because of their mass compensating effect, the vacuum appears massless, charge-less, without pressure, net energy density or entropy. In addition, we consider two varying G models, where G, is Newton’s constant, and Gsup>-1sup>, increases with an increase in cosmological time. We argue that there are at least two competing models for the quantum vacuum within such a framework. The first follows a strict extension of Winterberg’s model. This leads to nonsensible results, if G increases, going back in cosmological time, as the length scale inherent in such a model will not scale properly. The second model introduces a different length scale, which does scale properly, but keeps the mass of the Planck particle as, ± the Planck mass. Moreover we establish a connection between ordinary matter, dark matter, and dark energy, where all three mass densities within the Friedman equation must be interpreted as residual vacuum energies, which only surface, once aggregate matter has formed, at relatively low CMB temperatures. The symmetry of the vacuum will be shown to be broken, because of the different scaling laws, beginning with the formation of elementary particles. Much like waves on an ocean where positive and negative planckion mass densities effectively cancel each other out and form a zero vacuum energy density/zero vacuum pressure surface, these positive mass densities are very small perturbations (anomalies) about the mean. This greatly alleviates, i.e., minimizes the cosmological constant problem, a long standing problem associated with the vacuum.

AIM: To develop a better understanding of scapulohumeral rhythm during scapular plane shoulder ***: Thirteen healthy, college-aged subjects participated in this study. subjects were free from any upper extremity, neck or back pathology. A modified digital inclinometer was utilized to measure scapular upward rotation of the subject's dominant shoulder. Upward rotation was measured statically as subjects performed clinically relevant amounts of shoulder elevation in the scapular plane. Testing order was randomized by arm position. scapular upward rotation was assessed over the entire arc of motion and over a series of increments. The percent contributions to shoulder elevation for the scapula and glenohumeral joint were calculated. scapulohumeral rhythm was assessed and represented the ratio of glenohumeral motion to scapulothoracic motion(glenohumeral elevation: scapular upward rotation). A one-way ANOVA wasused to compare scapular upward rotation between elevation ***: scapulohumeral rhythm for the entire arc of shoulder elevation was equal to a ratio of 2.34 :1 and ranged from 40.01:1 to 0.90:1 when assessed across the different increments of humeral elevation. Total scapular motion increased over the arc of shoulder elevation. The scapula contributed 2.53% of total motion for the first 30 degrees of shoulder elevation, between 20.87% and 37.53% for 30o-90 o of shoulder elevation, and 52.73% for 90o-120 o of shoulder elevation. statistically significant differences in scapular upward rotation were identified across the shoulder elevation increments [F(3,48) = 12.63, P = 0.0001].CONCLUsION: Clinically, we must recognize the usefulness of the inclinometer in documenting the variable nature of scapulohumeral rhythm in healthy and injured shoulders.

Purpose:To examine the joint associations between meeting guidelines for physical activity(PA)and sleep duration and all-cause mortality risk among ***:Participants were adults(n=282,473)aged 18-84 years who participated in the 2004-2014 *** Health Interview *** status was ascertained using the National Death Index through December ***-reported PA(Active:meeting both aerobic(AER)and muscle-strengthening(MsA)guidelines,AER only(AER),MsA only(MsA),or not meeting either AER or MsA(Inactive))and sleep duration(short,recommended(Rec),or Long)were classified according to guidelines,and 12 PA-sleep categories were *** hazard ratios and 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs)for all-cause mortality risk were estimated using Cox proportional hazards regression ***:A total of 282,473 participants(55%females)were included;18,793 deaths(6.7%)occurred over an average follow-up of 5.4 *** to the Active-Rec group,all other PA-sleep groups were associated with increased mortality risk except for the Active-short group(hazard ratio=1.08;95%CI:0.92-1.26).The combination of long sleep with either MsA or Inactive appeared to be *** a given sleep duration,mortality risk progressively increased among participants classified as AER,MsA,and *** each activity level,the mortality risk was greatest among adults with long ***:Relative to adults meeting guidelines for both PA and sleep duration,adults who failed to meet guidelines for both AER and muscle strengthening PA and who also failed to meet sleep duration guidelines had elevated all-cause mortality *** results support interventions targeting both PA and sleep duration to reduce mortality risk.

In this study,the dredged river sediment,soft texture and fine particles,is mixed with other materials and transformed into eco-friendly autoclaved aerated concrete(hereinafter referred to as AAC)*** results indicated the bricks produced under the conditions of 30%–34%dredged river sediment,24%cement,10%quick lime,30%fly ash,2%gypsum and 0.09%aluminum powder with 0.5 water to material ratio,2.2 MPa autoclave pressure and 6 h autoclave time,the average compressive strength of 4.5 MPa and average dry density of 716.56 kg/m³were obtained,the two parameters(strength&density)both met the requirement of national industry *** the same time,the contents of dredged river sediment,cement,lime,fly ash,gypsum and aluminum powder were 15%,48%,20%,15%,2%and 0.09%,respectively,and the non-AAC block made of 0.5 water to material ratio,the average compressive strength of 3.1 MPa and average dry density of 924.19 kg/m³were obtained,the two parameters(strength&density)also met the requirement of national industry *** addition,the AAC block’s phase composition and morphology were micro-analyzed by sEM and XRD,the main substances in AAC block were found to be tobermorite and CsH,Among them,the chemical bond between si-O-si and Al-O-Al is broken,Al-O-si is regenerated,Al substituted tobermorite with better strength is formed,and the compressive strength of AAC is further improved.
