Background:With elderly people comprising a growing share of the population,landscape planners need to consider their specific requirements to enhance the opportunities for them to engage in nature-based recreation(NBR).However,few studies have spatially assessed the recreation potential,demand,and opportunities for elderly people in ***,this paper aimed to spatially model and investigate the NBR opportunities for and demand of elderly people in urban areas.A spatial framework based on the ESTIMAP recreation model was developed,considering special factors to better reflect elderly people’s preferences regarding NBR at the city *** particular,NBR opportunities were assessed considering landscape aesthetics,various types of facilities,and *** street network was used to understand elderly people’s walking behaviours regarding green spaces and related ***:A case study in Hannover,Germany,demonstrated the applicability of the proposed *** results illustrate the spatial heterogeneity of recreation options for the *** parts of Hannover’s green spaces offer high recreation opportunities for elderly *** of the existing green spaces lack diverse landscape compo-nents and sufficient supply of facilities,resulting in a compromise to aesthetics and recreational ***:The proposed method contributes to research on spatial planning and environmental justice by incorporating vulnerable groups’preferences and needs in spatially assessing *** planning implications highlight pocket gardens and greenways connecting communities and parks as development opportunities in the city.

Lode gold deposits are among the most economically important types of gold deposits in the ***,they formed mainly in three time intervals,2.8 to 2.5 Ga,2.1 to 1.8 Ga,and 700 Ma to the *** of ore-forming fluids and other components are of critical importance in a better understanding of the genesis and the geodynamic controls of these *** ore-forming fluids were mostly derived from devolatization of sedimentary and/or volcanic sequences during greenschist to amphibolite facies metamorphism associated with orogenic deformation,magmatic hydrothermal fluids have been increasingly shown to be important in many gold deposits in various *** this review paper,we summarize the major features of lode gold deposits,possible sources of ore-forming fluids,and mechanisms of gold *** we acknowledge the critical role of metamorphically derived fluids in the genesis of such deposits worldwide,we emphasize that mantle-or basaltic magma-derived fluids may have been much more important than commonly *** use the Liaodong peninsula of the North China Craton as an example to demonstrate the significance of mantle-derived *** earlier studies and new data,we show that some of the late Mesozoic lode gold deposits in the North China Craton may have formed from magmatic hydrothermal fluids due to the extension and partial melting of the hydrated,metasomatized subcontinental lithosphere mantle,as best exemplified by the Wulong gold deposit.

Aggregation-induced emission luminogens(AIEgens)exhibit efficient cytotoxic reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation capability and unique light-up features in the aggregated state,which have been well explored in image-guided photodynamic therapy(PDT).However,the limited penetration depth of light in tissue severely hinders AIEgens as a candidate for primary or adjunctive therapy for clinical ***,microwaves(MWs)show a distinct advantage for deeper penetration depth in tissues than ***,for the first time,we report AIEgen-mediated microwave dynamic therapy(MWDT)for cancer *** found that two AIEgens(TPEPy-I and TPEPy-PF6)served as a new type of microwave(MW)sensitizers to produce ROS,including singlet oxygen(1O2),resulting in efficient destructions of cancer *** results of 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT)and live/dead assays reveal that the two AIEgens when activated by MW irradiation can effectively kill cancer cells with average IC-50 values of 2.73 and 3.22μM,***,the ability of the two AIEgens to be activated by MW not only overcomes the limitations of conventional PDT,but also helps to improve existing MW ablation therapy by reducing the MW dose required to achieve the same therapeutic outcome,thus reducing the occurrence of side-effects of MW radiation.

The COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges to the tourism sector *** investigated changes in visitor demographics,satisfaction level,and its determinants pre-and *** were collected using questionnaire surveys in 2019 and 2021 within Banff National Park(BNP).The data analyses were based on a sample size of 1183 respondents by conducting factor analysis,correlation analysis and stepwise regression *** highlight that there were fewer international visitors and more local and domestic visitors during the *** attributes were evaluated at a higher satisfaction level *** quality of the Park facilities and services were the most important satisfaction determinants pre-and peri-COVID-19,and all the Park COVID-19 measures and actions received positive experience from *** research fills this knowledge gap by developing a better understanding in the change of visitor demographics and satisfaction level in BNP under the context of the *** also provides implication for both scholars and practitioners to understand the impacts of the pandemic on Park *** study can provide insights for utilizing the pandemic as a transformative strength and for mitigating its negative impact on tourism industry.

N-doped carbons as one of the most prominent anode materials to replace standard graphite exhibit outstanding Li+storage ***,N-doped carbon anodes still suffer from low N-doping levels and low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE).In this study,high N-doped and low graphitic-N carbons(LGNCs)with enhanced ICE were synthesized by taking advantage of a denitrification strategy for graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)).In brief,more than 14.5 at%of N from g-C_(3)N_(4)(55.1 at%N)was retained by reacting graphitic-N with lithium,which was subsequently *** graphitic-N is largely responsible for the irreversible capacity,the anode's performance was significantly *** to general N-doped carbons with high graphitic-N proportion(>50%)and low N content(<15 at%),LGNCs delivered a low proportion of 10.8%-17.2% within the high N-doping content of 14.5-42.7 at%,leading to an enhanced specific capacity of 1499.9mAh g^(-1) at an ICE of 93.7% for the optimal sample of LGNC(4:1).This study provides a facile strategy to control the N content and speciation,achieving both high Li+storage capacity and high ICE,and thus promoting research and application of N-doped carbon materials.

Zika virus (ZIKV), a mosquito-borne flavivirus, has been associated with benign infections for decades. However, it has become a public health concern due to its association with severe fetal and neurological complications. Although many efforts have been made to control ZIKV infection, approved vaccines or antiviral drugs are still lacking. Consequently, the development of new effective anti-ZIKV agents is urgently needed. In this context, we investigated the antiviral potential of pyrazolone derivatives against ZIKV replication using in silico and in vitro methods. The four pyrazolone derivatives evaluated (1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d) inhibited over 50% of ZIKV replication with low cytotoxicity. Among them, compound 1b exhibited the most potent activity (EC50 = 4.3 μM) and the highest selectivity (SI = 342). Mechanism of action studies indicated that these compounds act at early stages of virus replication, and compound 1b can also directly inactivate ZIKV particles. Molecular docking studies suggested that these compounds can bind to and block the activity of ZIKV NS5 methyltransferase. Finally, pharmacokinetic and toxicological predictions have reinforced the safety and drug-like profiles of these derivatives. In conclusion, the pyrazolone scaffold proved to be valuable for anti-ZIKV drug development, and the derivatives studied deserve further investigation.

Crete with its complex geomorphological history is the island with the highest number of endemism observed in animal and plant taxa throughout the Aegean *** other groups of organisms within Crete are well-studied,the freshwater gastropod fauna still remains poorly *** and Pseudamnicola,are 2 genera of freshwater springsnails,both present on the island,inhabiting springs and other freshwater ***,we conduct a comprehensive study on the distribution of the different genetic lineages of the 2 gastropod genera in order to assess the mode of their differentiation on the island and infer the actual number of species present in the *** these aims,sequence data from the mitochondrial gene were used and analyzed within a phylogenetic *** Bythinella,our results strongly support at least 5 delineated Bythinella *** Crete,which correspond to the already described species from previous studies with the addition of a new *** analyses reveal an old time-frame of differentiation with vicariant phenomena being more likely the main drivers shaping the present-day distribution of the genus’genetic *** Pseudamnicola,our data indicate the presence of at least 2 delineated Pseudamnicola *** a differentiation more consistent to an isolation-by-distance pattern of a relatively recent *** processes followed by isolation of the populations and/or recent speciation,seem to be the underlying process for the current distribution of Pseudamnicola lineages.

Increasing evidence has shown that gut microbiota plays important roles in metabolizing large molecular polyphenols to bioavailable and bioactive microbial ***(TF)is one of the major color compounds in black tea and has demonstrated anti-inflammation,antioxidant,and anticancer effects ***,little is known about the metabolism of TF by gut microbiota in *** this study,following the administration of TF to mice,the C-ring cleavage metabolites,dihydro-and tetrahydro-theaflavin(DH-TF and TH-TF)were detected in mouse feces by LC-MS and validated by authentic standards from in situ chemical *** observation of the C-ring cleavage metabolites in TF-treated conventionalized mice but not in germ-free(GF)mice confirmed the role of gut microbiota in cleaving the C-rings of *** detection of DH-TF from the anaerobic incubation of TF with catechin-converting gut bacteria,Eggerthella lenta(Eggerth),suggested that the microbes with the capacity to cleave the C-ring of catechins were able to metabolize TF following the same ***,three small phenolic metabolites were detected in mouse feces,and one of them was primarily detected in SPF mice not GF mice,which revealed that TF,subsequent to the cleaved C-ring,can be further metabolized into smaller phenolic metabolites by gut ***-dependent production of these metabolites were observed from the administration of 100 mg/kg to 400 mg/kg body weight of *** conclusion,gut microbiota can metabolize TF to the open-ring metabolites and the phenolic metabolites through the C-ring cleavage in mice.
