n-doped carbons as one of the most prominent anode materials to replace standard graphite exhibit outstanding Li+storage ***,n-doped carbon anodes still suffer from low n-doping levels and low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE).In this study,high n-doped and low graphitic-n carbons(LGnCs)with enhanced ICE were synthesized by taking advantage of a denitrification strategy for graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)n_(4)).In brief,more than 14.5 at%of n from g-C_(3)n_(4)(55.1 at%n)was retained by reacting graphitic-n with lithium,which was subsequently *** graphitic-n is largely responsible for the irreversible capacity,the anode's performance was significantly *** to general n-doped carbons with high graphitic-n proportion(>50%)and low n content(nCs delivered a low proportion of 10.8%-17.2% within the high n-doping content of 14.5-42.7 at%,leading to an enhanced specific capacity of 1499.9mAh g^(-1) at an ICE of 93.7% for the optimal sample of LGnC(4:1).This study provides a facile strategy to control the n content and speciation,achieving both high Li+storage capacity and high ICE,and thus promoting research and application of n-doped carbon materials.

Background Recently,there has been increasing interest in the use of multispecies(MS)swards in dairy grazing *** A plot grazing study was established to investigate the potential contribution of different sward species(perennial ryegrass,legumes and herbs)sown in grazing *** sward mixtures were sown,ranging in complexity from a perennial ryegrass(PRG)monoculture to binary mixtures including either forage legumes or herbs to a five-species mixture;four different nitrogen(n)application rates of 0,100,150 and 200 kg n ha−1 were applied to each *** Species abundance for all sward species components was associated with the interaction of time point and sward mixture;species abundance for all sward components,except PRG,was associated with the interaction of n application and sward *** interactions of time point and sward mixture,and time point and n application rate,were associated with all analysed sward chemical components,except for sward *** Increased n application rates reduced the level of clover in all sward *** levels of white clover led to increased sward crude protein levels;the inclusion of ribwort plantain led to some seasonal variation in the nutritive value of swards.

Effects of LO-phonon contribution on the electronic and the optical properties are investigated in a ***.2 Se/ZnSe quantum dot in the presence of magnetic field strength. The magneto-polaron induced hydro- genic binding energy as a function of dot radius in the wide band gap quantum dot is calculated. The oscilla- tor strength and the spontaneous lifetime are studied taking into account the spatial confinement, magnetic field strength and the phonon contribution. numerical calculations are carried out using variational formulism within the single band effective mass approximation. The optical properties are computed with the compact density matrix method. The magneto-polaron induced optical gain as a function of photon energy is observed. The results show that the optical telecommunication wavelength in the fiber optic communications can be achieved using CdSe/ZnSe semiconductors and it can be tuned with the proper applications of external perturbations.

AIM： To study the role of advanced glycation end products （AGE） and their specific receptor （RAGE） in the pathogenesis of liver fibrogenesis. METHODS： In vitro RAGE expression and extracellular matrix-related gene expression in both rat and human hepatic stellate cells （HSC） were measured after stimulation with the two RAGE ligands, advanced glycation end product-bovine serum albumin （AGE- BSA） and n＇-（carboxymethyl） lysine （CML）-BSA, or with tumor necrosis factor-α （TnF-α）. In vivo RAGE expression was examined in models of hepatic fibrosis induced by bile duct ligation or thioacetamide. The effects of AGE-BSA and CML-BSA on HSC proliferation, signal transduction and profibrogenic gene expression were studied in vitro. RESULTS： In hepatic fibrosis, RAGE expression was enhanced in activated HSC, and also in endothelial cells, inflammatory cells and activated bile duct epithelia. HSC expressed RAGE which was upregulated after stimulation with AGE-BSA, CML-BSA, and TnF-α.RAGE stimulation with AGE-BSA and CML-BSA did not alter HSC proliferation, apoptosis, fibrogenic signal transduction and fibrosis- or fibrolysis-related gene expression, except for marginal upregulation of procollagen α1（ I ） mRnA by AGE-BSA. COnCLUSIOn： Despite upregulation of RAGE in activated HSC, RAGE stimulation by AGE does not alter their fibrogenic activation. Therefore, RAGE does not contribute directly to hepatic fibrogenesis.

Informal caregivers are a population currently in the shadows of disaster risk reduction(DRR),and yet essential to the provision of healthcare *** scoping review explored the literature to understand issues related to informal caregiving and promising practices to support resilience for *** guidelines for scoping review as outlined by Tricco et al.(2016),relevant publications were identified from five major databases—Medline,Embase,PubMed,Web of Science,and *** studies referenced informal caregiving and disasters for a variety of population groups including children,people with disabilities or chronic illnesses,and older *** were excluded if they discussed formal caregiving services(for example,nursing),lacked relevance to disasters,or had insufficient discussion of informal ***,21 articles met the inclusion criteria and were fully *** themes were identified:(1)the need for education and training in DRR;(2)stressors around medication and supply issues;(3)factors affecting the decision-making process in a disaster;(4)barriers leading to disaster-related problems;and(5)factors promoting *** areas of strategic action and knowledge gaps are *** informal caregivers do not feel adequately prepared for *** the important role of informal caregivers in healthcare provision,preparedness strategies are essential to support community resilience for those requiring personal care *** understanding and mobilizing assets to support the resilience of informal caregivers,we also support the resilience of the greater healthcare system and the community,in disaster contexts.

Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion syndrome has been the subject of intensive study and experimentation in recent decades since it is responsible for the outcome of several clinical entities,such as major hepatic resections and liver *** addition to the organ’s post reperfusion injury,this syndrome appears to play a central role in the dysfunction of distant tissues and ***,continuous research should be directed toward finding effective therapeutic options to improve the outcome and reduce the postoperative morbidity and mortality *** is a synthetic analog of prostaglandin I2,and its experimental administration has shown encouraging *** has already been approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States for pulmonary arterial hypertension and has been used in liver transplantation,where preliminary encouraging results showed its safety and feasibility by using continuous intravenous administration at a dose of 5 ng/kg/*** improves renal and hepatic function,diminishes hepatic oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation,reduces hepatictoll-like receptor 9 and inflammation,inhibits hepatic apoptosis and restores hepatic adenosine triphosphate(ATP)levels and ATP synthases,which is necessary for functional maintenance of *** exhibits vasodilatory properties and antiplatelet activity and regulates proinflam-matory cytokines;therefore,it can potentially minimize ischemia-reperfusion ***,it may have beneficial effects on cardiovascular parameters,and much current research interest is concentrated on this compound.

Vitamin D Insufficiency among Women Post-Partum in northern Sweden—A Public Health Concern

Pregnancy and post-partum represent a period of susceptibility for vitamin D insufficiency. This study investigated S-25 [OH] D levels in women in northern Sweden 4 weeks post-partum and its association with selected background factors. Blood from 100 healthy women were analyzed for iron status and serum levels of S-25[OH] D using ionization-mass spectrometry (HPLC-APCI-MS). nmol/L was categorized as insufficiency and nmol/L as deficiency. Maternal BMI, dietary habits, fungal infections during pregnancy, and infant birth characteristics were collected using questionnaires and medical charts. 58% were vitamin D insufficient whereas 10% had deficiency. Insufficiency was most common during winter (OR = 2.77;95% CI = 1.1-6.96) and women with deficiency reported lower milk consumption;11.3 ± 22.8 intakes per months vs. 34.0 ± 28.9 for those above 25 nmol/L (p °49'n. The odds of being insufficient were increased during winter whereas milk consumption was negatively associated with deficiency. The low vitamin D-levels particularly during winter is a public health concern. From a public health perspective it has to be considered whether dietary advices alone should be modified or if supplementation with vitamin D during pregnancy and the post-partum period also is needed.
