Zn-air batteries are highly attractive for direct chemical-to-electrical energy conversion and for solving the energy crisis and environmental *** efficient oxygen electrodes has been considered one of the most critical steps in the development of advanced Zn-air batteries because of the sluggish kinetics of the oxygen reduction reaction and the oxygen evolution *** recent years,nanostructured carbon-based electrodes with large surface areas,efficient oxygen-catalytic centers,and hierarchically porous matrices have provided significant opportunities to optimize the performance of the oxygen electrodes in both primary and rechargeable Zn-air *** this review,we provide a comprehensive summary of the reported nanostructured carbon-based electrodes for advanced Zn-air batteries in terms of tailoring the oxygen-catalytic sites and designing carbon *** versatile synthetic strategies,characterization methods,and in-depth understanding of the relationships between the oxygen-catalytic sites/nanostructures and the oxygen electrode performance are systematically ***,we also briefly outline recent progress in engineering flexible and high-power Zn-air ***,a thorough discussion of current primary challenges and future perspectives on the rational design of nanostructured carbon-based oxygen electrodes is given,thus providing inspiration for the future prosperity of fast-kinetic and efficient Zn-air batteries in a broad range of energy fields.

Volatile and C-H-O isotopic compositions of giant Fe-Ti-V oxide deposits in the Panxi region and their implications for the sources of volatiles and the origin of Fe-Ti oxide ores

The Panzhihua,Hongge,and Baima Fe-Ti-V oxide deposits in the Panzhihua-Xichang(Panxi) region are hosted in large layered mafic-ultramafic *** layered intrusions intrude either the Neoproterozoic Dengying Formation,composed mainly of limestone,or the Paleoproterozoic Hekou Formation,composed of meta-sedimentary-volcanic *** remains unclear if the wall rocks have been involved during the fractionation of magmas and have affected the sequence of crystallization of Fe-Ti *** and their C-H-O isotopic compositions of magnetite,apatite,clinopyroxene,and plagioclase of different types of ores from the three intrusions are analyzed using a technique of stepwise heating mass spectrometer to evaluate the role of wall rocks in the formation of Fe-Ti oxide *** released from magnetite are composed mainly of H 2 O and CO 2,whereas the other minerals are composed mainly of H 2 O,CO 2 and H *** 800-1200°C temperature interval,the average 13 C values of CO 2 of all the minerals from the three intrusions range from 7.7‰ to 13.5‰ and the average 18 O CO 2 values from 19.1‰ to 19.5‰,which are scattered in a mixed field with basalt and the two types of wall rocks as end-members,indicating that CO 2 from the wall rocks may have been involved in the magmas from which the three intrusions *** 400-800 C temperature interval,both 13 C values(13.7‰ to 17.9‰ on the average) and 18 O values(16.2‰ to 19.2‰ on the average) of CO 2 of all the minerals are lower than those for 800-1200 C temperature interval,and much closer to the values of the wall *** H 2 O released at the 400-800 C temperature interval has relatively low D values ranging from 90‰ to 115‰,also indicating the involvement of fluids from the wall *** average bulk contents of volatiles released from magnetite of the Hongge,Baima,and Panzhihua intrusions are 4891,2996,and 1568 mm 3 STP/g,respectively,much higher than those released from other minerals in total,which are 382

A typical problem in Visual Analytics(VA)is that users are highly trained experts in their application domains,but have mostly no experience in using VA ***,users often have difficulties interpreting and working with visual *** overcome these problems,user assistance can be incorporated into VA systems to guide experts through the analysis while closing their knowledge *** types of user assistance can be applied to extend the power of VA,enhance the user’s experience,and broaden the audience for *** different approaches to visualization onboarding and guidance in VA already exist,there is a lack of research on how to design and integrate them in effective and efficient ***,we aim at putting together the pieces of the mosaic to form a coherent *** on the Knowledge-Assisted Visual Analytics model,we contribute a conceptual model of user assistance for VA by integrating the process of visualization onboarding and guidance as the two main approaches in this *** a result,we clarify and discuss the commonalities and differences between visualization onboarding and guidance,and discuss how they benefit from the integration of knowledge extraction and ***,we discuss our descriptive model by applying it to VA tools integrating visualization onboarding and guidance,and showing how they should be utilized in different phases of the analysis in order to be effective and accepted by the user.

Rural-urban differences in distributions and determinants of facility delivery among women in Bangladesh

Introduction:The utilization of facility delivery is crucial to achieve sustainable development goals by reducing maternal and neonatal *** study aimed to compare the distributions and determinants of childbirth in health facilities in urban and rural regions of ***:Cross-sectional data from the 2017-2018 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey were *** logistic regression was ***:A total of 4751 women were included in the *** 50%of childbirths took place in health facilities,63.4%and 44.6%in urban and rural regions,***,the odds of the association between facility delivery and the studied factors were *** women had significantly lower odds of facility delivery in both rural(adjusted odds ratio[AOR]=0.3,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.2 to 0.5)and urban(AOR=0.2,95%CI:0.1 to 0.5)*** both regions,women with higher education levels,highly educated husbands,antenatal care(ANC),and higher wealth indexes had significantly higher odds of facility ***:Several common associated factors were ***,differences were observed regarding distributions of these *** differences in facility delivery utilization could result from lower ANC utilization,socioeconomic status,and transportation facilities in rural regions than urban regions;therefore,improving these conditions could increase facility delivery in these regions.

Background Recently,there has been increasing interest in the use of multispecies(MS)swards in dairy grazing *** A plot grazing study was established to investigate the potential contribution of different sward species(perennial ryegrass,legumes and herbs)sown in grazing *** sward mixtures were sown,ranging in complexity from a perennial ryegrass(PRG)monoculture to binary mixtures including either forage legumes or herbs to a five-species mixture;four different nitrogen(N)application rates of 0,100,150 and 200 kg N ha−1 were applied to each *** Species abundance for all sward species components was associated with the interaction of time point and sward mixture;species abundance for all sward components,except PRG,was associated with the interaction of N application and sward *** interactions of time point and sward mixture,and time point and N application rate,were associated with all analysed sward chemical components,except for sward *** Increased N application rates reduced the level of clover in all sward *** levels of white clover led to increased sward crude protein levels;the inclusion of ribwort plantain led to some seasonal variation in the nutritive value of swards.

Evaluation of a protocol for rifaximin discontinuation in critically ill patients with liver disease receiving broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy

BACKGROUND Rifaximin is frequently administered to critically ill patients with liver disease and hepatic encephalopathy,but patients currently or recently treated with antibiotics were frequently excluded from studies of rifaximin *** to overlapping spectrums of activity,combination therapy with broad-spectrum antibiotics and rifaximin may be unnecessary.A pharmacist-driven protocol was piloted to reduce potentially overlapping therapy in critically ill patients with liver *** was hypothesized that withholding rifaximin during broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy would be safe and reduce healthcare *** To determine the clinical,safety,and financial impact of discontinuing rifaximin during broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy in critically ill liver *** This was a single-center,quasi-experimental,pre-post study based on a pilot pharmacist-driven *** in the protocol group were prospectively identified via the medical intensive care unit(ICU)(MICU)protocol to have rifaximin withheld during broad-spectrum antibiotic *** were compared to a historical cohort who received combination therapy with broadspectrum antibiotics and *** data were collected *** primary outcome was days alive and free of delirium and coma(DAFD)to 14 *** outcomes included MICU length of stay,48-h change in vasopressor dose,and ICU *** outcomes characterized rifaximin cost savings and protocol *** analysis was utilized to evaluate the association between group assignment and the primary outcome while controlling for potential confounding *** Each group included 32 *** median number of delirium-and coma-free days was similar in the control and protocol groups[3 interquartile range(IQR 0,8)vs 2(IQR 0,9.5),P=0.93].In multivariable analysis,group assignment was not associated with a reduced ratio of days alive and free of delirium or coma at 14 *** protocol res

Quantification of skid resistance seasonal variation in asphalt pavements

The present study deals with the quantification of skid resistance seasonal variation in asphalt ***,skid resistance data were collected twice per year(after"wet"and"dry"seasons)along four trial sections of an urban highway with a GripTester system(during a six-year field experiment).For the estimation of a percentage reference change(%)between wet and dry skid resistance data,a methodology is developed based on distribution fitting of the percentage change of skid resistance index due to seasonal variation *** outcome of the analysis is applied and successfully validated through a set of skid resistance data collected from an interurban highway pavement section with different traffic and environmental *** such the developed methodology can be considered as a promising tool for accommodating the seasonal variation of skid ***,the resulting percentage reference change(%)enables the estimation of skid resistance level for the dry period based on the wet period ***,it seems that the proposed quantification process may constitute a practical yet efficient tool for road authorities and highway operators on how to estimate the effect of seasonal variation on skid resistance levels and schedule well-ahead necessary actions for enhancing driving safety.
