Aims: To determine the prevalence and risk factors of heartburn in Abidjan, a black African city. Patients and methods: cross-sectional study from June 15 to September 30, 2003. One thousand nine hundred forty (1940) persons from five health zones of the city Abidjan were included after their informed consent. Socio demographic and clinical parameters were collected using a questionnaire in an interview format. Heartburn was defined as a discomfort or burning sensation extending from the sternal manubrium to the base of the neck. Factors related to the complaint were asked such as predisposing factors, habits (tobacco, alcohol and coffee intake) and body mass index. Stepwise multiple logistic regression analyses were used to examine associations between these factors and heartburn. Results: Among 1940 respondents (mean age 28 ± 9 years;sex ratio (m:F) 0.86), heartburn occurred in 433 persons (once a week in 9.2% of case (178 persons)). Five factors were statistically associated with heartburn: male sex (p = 0.025, OR = 0.555 [CI95% 0.331 - 0.930]), heartburn in a family member (p = 0.010, OR = 1.765 [95%CI 1.143 - 2.725]), constipation (p = 0.011, OR = 2.182 [95%CI 11,953,983]), right lateral decubitus (p = 0.001, OR = 6.247 [95%CI 2.079 - 18.775]) and after a meal (p = 0.000, OR = 2.643 [95%CI 1.594 4.383]). Conclusion: Heartburn is common in this black African population. male sex appears to be less associated. Constipation, right lateral decubitus and after a meal are trigger factors for heartburn. Heartburn in a family member is a risk factor.

The study of exotic structure of hadrons is fully achieved when reaction dynamics of the associated hadron productions is well understood. We employ as the standard mechanism the effective Lagrangian method and investigate several physical observables within the framework. The parameters are constrained by microscopic description of hadrons. We discuss photoproductions of kaon associated with the ground state A（1116） and its resonances A（1405） and A（1520）. In the former example we emphasize the meson cloud effect which significantly renormalizes the phenomenological parameters, while in the latter we discuss the features of the standard method. Finally we discuss briefly the N（1535） for the study of chiral symmetry of baryons. production of ηπ associated with the nucleon resonance

In this White Paper we present the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to Observatory Science targets. These include flaring stars, supernova remnants, accreting white dwarfs, low and high mass X-ray binaries, radio quiet and radio loud active galactic nuclei, tidal disruption events, and gamma-ray bursts. eXTP will be excellently suited to study one common aspect of these objects: their often transient nature. Developed by an international Consortium led by the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Science, the eXTP mission is expected to be launched in the mid 2020s.

A substantial number of studies have been published since the Ninth International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones(IWTC-9)in 2018,improving our understanding of the effect of climate change on tropical cyclones(TCs)and associated hazards and *** studies have reinforced the robustness of increases in TC intensity and associated TC hazards and risks due to anthropogenic climate *** modeling and observational studies suggested the potential influence of anthropogenic climate forcings,including greenhouse gases and aerosols,on global and regional TC activity at the decadal and century time ***,there are still substantial uncertainties owing to model uncertainty in simulating historical TC decadal variability in the Atlantic,and the limitations of observed TC *** projected future change in the global number of TCs has become more uncertain since IWTC-9 due to projected increases in TC frequency by a few climate models.A new paradigm,TC seeds,has been proposed,and there is currently a debate on whether seeds can help explain the physical mechanism behind the projected changes in global TC *** studies also highlighted the importance of large-scale environmental fields on TC activity,such as snow cover and air-sea *** projections on TC translation speed and medicanes are new additional focus topics in our *** and future research are proposed relevant to the remaining scientific questions and assisting policymakers.

感染对患有急性中枢神经系统损伤的患者来说是导致发病率和死亡率主要的原因。最近已经明确中枢神经系统损伤通过脑内特殊的机制显著增加了对感染的易感性：中枢神经系统损伤诱导破坏了免疫系统和中枢神经系统之间原本平衡的相互作用。结果，这种损伤引起了继发的免疫缺陷——中枢神经系统损伤诱导的免疫抑制（CIDS）和感染。CIDS或许可以作为研究大脑对免疫系统控制机制和调节的模型。更重要的是，了解CIDS可使我们制定出有效的治疗策略，这样通过剔除不利于恢复的因素就可以提高由一系列疾病引起的中枢神经系统损伤的预后。

AIm:To analyze the impact of previous cyst-enterostomy of patients underwent congenital bile duct cysts(BDC)***:A multicenter European retrospective study between 1974 and 2011 were conducted by the French Surgical *** Todani subtypes I and IVb were *** imaging studies and operative and pathology reports underwent central *** with and without a previous history of cystenterostomy(CE)were ***:Among 243 patients with Todani types I and IVb BDC,16 had undergone previous CE(6.5%).Patients with a prior history of CE experienced a greater incidence of preoperative cholangitis(75%vs 22.9%,Pmore complicated presentations(75%vs 40.5%,P=0.007),and were more likely to have synchronous biliary cancer(31.3%vs 6.2%,P=0.004)than patients without a prior *** morbidity(75%vs 33.5%;Pmplications(43.8%vs 11.9%;P=0.0026)and reoperation rates(37.5%vs 8.8%;P=0.0032)were also significantly greater in patients with previous CE,and their mayo Risk Score,during a median follow-up of 37.5 mo(range:4-372 mo)indicated significantly more patients with fair and poor results(46.1%vs 15.6%;P=0.0136).CONCLUSION:This is the large series to show that previous CE is associated with poorer short-and longterm results after Todani types I and IVb BDC resection.
