Fournier’s gangrene after insertion of thermo-expandable prostatic stent for benign prostatic hyperplasia:A case report

Comparative analyses of the venom components in the salivary gland transcriptomes and saliva proteomes of some heteropteran insects

Salivary gland-specific transcriptomes of nine heteropteran insects with distinct feeding strategies (predaceous, hematophagous, and phytophagous) were analyzed and annotated to compare and identify the venom components as well as their expression profiles. The transcriptional abundance of venom genes was verified via quantitative real-time PCR. Hierarchical clustering of 30 representative differentially expressed venom genes from the nine heteropteran species revealed unique groups of salivary gland-specific genes depending on their feeding strategy. The commonly transcribed genes included a paralytic neurotoxin (arginine kinase), digestive enzymes (cathepsin and serine protease), an anti-inflammatory protein (cystatin), hexamerin, and an odorant binding protein. Both predaceous and hematophagous (bed bug) heteropteran species showed relatively higher transcription levels of genes encoding proteins involved in proteolysis and cytolysis, whereas phytophagous heteropterans exhibited little or no expression of these genes, but had a high expression of vitellogenin, a multifunctional allergen. Saliva proteomes from four representative species were also analyzed. All venom proteins identified via saliva proteome analysis were annotated using salivary gland transcriptome data. The proteomic expression profiles of venom proteins were in good agreement with the salivary gland-specific transcriptomic profiles. Our results indicate that profiling of the salivary gland transcriptome provides important information on the composition and evolutionary features of venoms depending on their feeding strategy.

Intraoperative photodynamic therapy for tracheal mass in non-small cell lung cancer:A case report

A heterostructured electrocatalyst of small NiSe_(2) nanoparticles confined NiMoN nanorods(NiSe_(2)-NPs/NiMoN-NRs)is prepared to accelerate both the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in a same alkaline *** synergistic effects caused by the combination of merits derived from NiSe_(2) and NiMoN phases trigger an optimum electronic structure with high density of state at near Fermi level and enhance adsorption free energy,thereby resulting in excellent catalytic activities and strengthened working *** catalyst requires a low overpotential of 58 mV for HER and 241 mV for OER to reach 10 mA cm^(−2) in 1.0 M KOH electrolyte.A twoelectrode electrolyzer based on the developed catalyst shows outstanding cell voltage of 1.51 and 1.46 V to reach 10 mA cm^(−2) in 1.0 M and 30 wt%KOH solution at 25℃ for overall water splitting,*** addition,the solardriven water splitting process delivers a high solar-to-H_(2) conversion efficiency of∼18.4%,impressively unveiling that the developed bifunctional catalyst is highly potential for overall water splitting to produce green hydrogen fuel.

Utilizing 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene(EDOT)-bridged non-fullerene acceptors for efficient organic solar cells

A rational design of efficient low-band-gap non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs)for high-performance organic solar cells(OSCs)remains challenging;the main constraint being the decrease in the energy level of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals(LUMOs)as the bandgap of A-D-A-type NFAs ***,the short current density(J_(sc))and open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))result in a trade-off relationship,making it difficult to obtain efficient ***,three NFAs(IFL-ED-4 F,IDT-ED-4 F,and IDTT-ED-2 F)were synthesized to address the above-mentioned issue by introducing 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene(EDOT)as aπ-*** NFAs exhibit relatively low bandgaps(1.67,1.42,and 1.49 eV,respectively)and upshifted LUMO levels(-3.88,-3.84,and-3.81 eV,respectively)compared with most reported low-band-gap ***,the photovoltaic devices based on IDT-ED-4 F blended with a PBDB-T donor polymer showed the best power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 10.4%with a high J_(sc) of 22.1 mA cm^(-2) and Voc of 0.884 V among the examined *** contrast,IDTT-ED-4 F,which was designed with an asymmetric structure of the D-p-A type,showed the lowest efficiency of 1.5%owing to the poor morphology and charge transport properties of the binary ***,when this was introduced as the third component of the PM6:BTP-BO-4 Cl,complementary absorption and cascade energy-level alignment between the two substances could be ***,the IDTT-ED-4 F-based ternary blend device not only improved the Jscand Voc,but also achieved a PCE of 15.2%,which is approximately 5.3%higher than that of the reference device with a minimized energy loss of 0.488 *** addition,the universality of IDTT-ED-2 F as a third component was effectively demonstrated in other photoactive systems,specifically,PM6:BTPe C9 and PTB7-Th:IEICO-4 *** work facilitates a better understanding of the structure–property relationship for utilizing efficient EDOT-bridged NFAs in high-performance OSC applications.

Relative-Position Estimation Based on Loosely Coupled UWB–IMU Fusion for Wearable IoT Devices

Relative positioning is one of the important techniques in collaborativerobotics, autonomous vehicles, and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR)applications. Recently, ultra-wideband (UWB) has been utilized to calculaterelative position as it does not require a line of sight compared to a camerato calculate the range between two objects with centimeter-level ***, the single UWB range measurement cannot provide the relativeposition and attitude of any device in three dimensions (3D) because oflacking bearing information. In this paper, we have proposed a UWB-IMUfusion-based relative position system to provide accurate relative positionand attitude between wearable Internet of Things (IoT) devices in 3D. Weintroduce a distributed Euler angle antenna orientationwhich can be equippedwith the mobile structure to enable relative positioning. Moving average andmin-max removing preprocessing filters are introduced to reduce the standarddeviation. The standard multilateration method is modified to calculate therelative position between mobile structures. We combine UWB and IMUmeasurements in a probabilistic framework that enables users to calculatethe relative position between two nodes with less error. We have carried outdifferent experiments to illustrate the advantages of fusing IMU and UWBranges for relative positioning systems. We have achieved a mean accuracy of0.31m for 3D relative positioning in indoor line of sight conditions.
