china university of mining technology (CUMT) is a national key university being directed under the Ministry of Education. CUMT has been officially listed as one of the selected university for the national “211 Project”. With the development of over ninety years,CUMT has formed a discipline major system with a priority to engineering,with mining feature,and combined with science,engineering,liberal,management,law,economy and other multiple subjects developed harmoniously. CUMT currently offers 19 colleges,63 undergraduate disciplines,7 state-level key disciplines,and 8 provincial or ministerial-level key disciplines. CUMT offers positions in seven disciplines for “professors specially engaged under the Yangtze River Scholar Prize Program”. CUMT also provides postdoctoral research opportunities in 9 research areas,and has the authority to confer doctoral and master’s degree as a whole field in 5 top-layer disciplines. CUMT yet has the authority to confer doctoral degree in 50 disciplines,master’s degree in 96 disciplines,4 subject fields in major’s degree and 9 post-doctoral research stations. CUMT currently has 2953 staffs,which includes 1495 teaching stuff,five academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,145 supervisors for doctoral graduates,207 professors,and 327 associate professors. There are more than 36,000 students in CUMT Xuzhou campuses.

We propose a new characteristic-based finite volume scheme combined with the method of Central Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory （CWENO） reconstruction and characteristics, to solve shallow water equations. We apply the scheme to simulate dam-break problems. A number of challenging test cases are considered, such as large depth differences even wet/dry bed. The numerical solutions well agree with the analytical solutions. The results demonstrate the desired accuracy, high-resolution and robustness of the presented scheme.

＜正＞This 230kA DC Power source is composed of four set separated DC power in parallel operation. There are +3.75°,-3.75°, +11.25°, -11.25° phase shifting between each rectifier transformer and original source. Each set device mainly contains on-load tap changer, phase-shifting rectifier transformer and con-phase counter parallel rectifier. In this paper, a current control scheme is realized based on SIEMENS corp. product. According to the required function, the hardware is chose and described, and the software is designed and realized. The design control system is organized by current control level, logic control level and human level. The relation between these levels is determined. The system is validated by electrolytic aluminum plant. From the measured data, the current control precision can reach 0.1% in dynamic process. The rectifier efficiency is more than 97.5%. The whole control device’s realized zero current changing on-load tap changer. This developed DC power source can utilize for electrochemical, electro winning, plasma torches etc.

According to the demand of modern surface mine production, production, a multi-objective optimum dispatchingmodel is set up in this paper, it includes overall comprehensive optimal model, the goal programming model to optimize truck fleet in mine haulage system, and the selection of real time dispatching criteria. A surface coal mineis studied as a case in a built system simulation mantel, and the simulation result shows that the model is correct.

Purified fly ash (FA) is fit for filling in polymer because of lower density, and good dispersion and fluidity of globose particles. The reason why the use of FA as filler has not been widely generalized in polymer up to now is that interfacial bonding between FA and polymer is weak because of its slippery surface, and that FA presents grey color with about 30 whiteness-value which reduces users' interest. Although using coupling agent or surfactant to modify FA can improve in a certain degree the interfacial consistency between FA and polymer, the color and slippery surface can almost not be improved. Changes in the surface morphology and surface area of fly ash with solutions of NaOH, NaOH/NH4HCO3, EDTA, and HCI have been confirmed, however, the disposal of alkaline or acidic wastewater will be very difficult. All these restrict the wide use of FA as filler. So, in order to meet the demands of plastic and rubber industries to fillers with high qualities, to develop a new technology of fly ash surface modification and enhance their whiteness and surface area are all through our research keystone. Aiming at physical and chemical properties of fly ash, a new method of modifying fly ash and enhancing the whiteness was invented The basal characters of fly ash and preparation of composite fly ash (CFA) was described in the paper. The coating mechanism was analyzed in details. Experimental results showed that in Ca(OH)2-H2O-CO2 system composite fly ash with rough surface and high whiteness had successfully been prepared. Compared to original FA, the whiteness and the specific surface area could be increased by 145.4%, ranging from 29.8 of the original to 73.13 of CFA, and 222% from 3.03 m2/g of the original to 9.77 m2/g of CFA, respectively. Filling tests showed that the modification increased contacting opportunities between CFA and polymer and improved the matching state between them when CFA was blended with PP polymer.

Sewage from our campus was needed to treat urgently due the affect of sewage on the environment becoming more and more seriously. This paper proposes a method of Sequencing Batch Reactor Activated Sludge Process to meet the needs of campus. Therefore, the method is so complicated that only automatic control part was realized. Strengths of Sequencing Batch Reactor Activated Sludge Process were played. PLC controller from Mitsubishi FX2N Series was used in the automatic control system of sewage treatment with stable operation, low cost, good effect and so on.

The loose quaternary deposit,originated from landslide deposits,weathering residues,slope wash and diluvial deposits etc, prevails in the Three Gorges reservoir area,*** inhomogeneous geological material comprises mainly rock blocks,clay and sandy *** emphasize its fabric,it is termed rock and soil aggregate(RSA).The study of the mechanical behaviour of RSA is of great importance in reinforcement design for rock slopes. In situ direct shear tests on three samples of RSA in the Three Gorges reservoir area were carried out to examine its mechanical *** on the geological investigation and statistics,a stochastic structural model of RSA was *** distribution functions of the stochastic variables,including spatial location,size,shape and azimuth ofthe rock blocks inside RSA,are developed by means of the Monte-Carlo *** mechanical response of the RSA was numerically simulated using FLAC. By comparsion,the numerical results coincided with the test results(Fig.1). It was shown from both in situ tests and numerical modelling that for the RSA with a high rock percentage,initial yielding and strain hardening appeared in its deformation *** in situ tests of RSA also indicated that the increase of Young’s modulus and ultimate shear strength was not proportional to the rock *** was observed form the samples studied that the fracture patterns of RSA exhibited shear failure with fluctuating fracture *** characteristics are predicated by the inherent structure of RSA. The comparison of the numerical modelling with the in situ tests indicates that the numerical procedures based on the stochastic structural model can serve for studying the complex mechanical response of the RSA material,not only in simple stress states,but also under various stress ***,the development and propagation of the failure inside RSA can be examined by this method,which it is difficult to observe,in field tests.

Alkylation of isobutane with butene is one of the important processes in chemical industry and it is also of considerable importance for the production of high-octane gasoline. Due to the strong Lewis acidity of the anions of Al2Cl7-, acidic chloroaluminate ionic liquid shows high catalytic activity in many chemical reactions including Diels-Alder and Friedel-Crafts reactions. In this work, the alkylation experiments were carried out in a stirred pressure autoclave, and the gas and liquid products were analyzed by gas chromatography. The properties of ionic liquids and the effects of operating variables were investigated and optimized, the implications of the most important process parameters on the alkylation performance were discussed, and the improvement of product distribution with high yields of C8 and selectivity of TMP under a mild reaction condition was observed. Under the optimized operation conditions, the catalytic performance of the ionic liquid was comparable with that of sulfuric acid.
