A support vector regression(SVR) based color image restoration algorithm is *** test color images are firstly mapped into the YUV color space,and then SVR is applied to build up a theoretical model between the degraded images and the original *** comparisons of the proposed algorithm versus traditional filtering algorithms are *** results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than traditional filtering algorithms and has less computation time than iterative blind deconvolution algorithm.

Three variation indices are defined to objectively and quantitatively represent fluctuations of three rainfall-band patterns in summers in china for the period from 1951 to 2005, and the variation features of these indices are analyzed on both of interdecadal and interannual scales. A new method is proposed to establish an integrative estimation model based on the analysis of rainfall-band indices, and the model is applied to air, ocean factors to estimate their roles on variations of three rainfall-band patterns on different time-scales. The tests of estimation effects show that the fluctuations of three rainfall-band patterns are composed of variations on both significant inter-decadal and interannual scales, of which the interannual variation is mainly influenced by the Elnino/Lanina events, the East Asia monsoon and the ridge locations of subtropical high pressures in western pacific, while the interdecadal variation is mainly controlled by the Pacific decadal oscillation and interdecadal oscillations of the Arctic oscillation, ENSO, Nino3 sea surface temperature and summer monsoon. The estimated results from the integrative estimation model of rainfall-band patterns suggest that the way of estimation first according to each time scale of both the interdecadal and interannual scales, then estimating with an integration, which is proposed in this paper, has an obvious improvement on that without separation of time scales.

In this paper we study the general behavior of matrix elements of the nuclear shell model *** find that nonzero off-diagonal elements exhibit a regular pattern,if one sorts the diagonal matrix elements from smaller to larger *** correlation between eigenvalues and diagonal matrix elements for the shell model Hamiltonian is more remarkable than that for random matrices with the same distribution unless the dimension is small.

The flow patterns of the gas-liquid two-phase flow in a Moving-Bed Biofilm Reactor （MBBR） have a critical effect upon the mass transfer by the convection. Bubble plumes promote unsteadily fluctuating two-phase flows during the aeration. This article studies the unsteady structure of bubble plumes through experiments. The time-serial bubble plume images in various cases of the tank are analyzed. The Recursive Cross Correlation-Particle Image Velocimetry （RCC-PIV） is used to calculate the velocities in those cases, and then the time-serial vortex, the total turbulence intensity, the time-serial streamline are obtained. It is shown that the aspect ratio and the void fraction are the dominant factors influencing the unsteady structure of bubble plumes. When the aspect ratio is unity and the void fraction is high, the bubble plumes see a symmetrical vortex structure with a long residence time, which is beneficial for optimizing the aeration system and enhancing the applied range of bubble plumes.

This paper focuses on the sediment transport and freshwater discharging from upper Yangtze drainage basin downstream, primarily on the basis of multiyear hy-drological data collected from three major hydrological gauge stations (Yichang, Hankou and Datong). Data indicate highest sediment load in Yichang (5.6×108 t/a), lowest in Hankou (5.1×108t) and second highest in Datong (5.4×108 t). This fluctuations are identical with what has been observed from the annual flood season. About one thirds of the sediment load are trapped in the middle Yangtze River course, where meandering river pattern prevails; rest of them are directly transported to the river mouth area via lower Yangtze River channel, where the river is typically confined by the exposed base rock and almost none is being trapped, instead, minor being drained to the mainstream from the local tributaries. A network-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) architecture by using fundamental routing mechanism is proposed. This network is a virtual overlay network based on the relay of IP-in-IP tunneling of virtual routing modules. The packet format employs the encapsulation of IPSec ESP(Encapsulating Security Payload), an impact path code and an extended DS(Differentiated Services) code to support multi-path routing and QoS. Comparing with other models of VPN, this network system can be deployed in the current network with little investment, and it is easy to implement. The simulation result shows its performance is better than the traditional VPN system of black box mode.

Heteromeric acetyl-coenzyme A (CoA) carboxylase (ACCase) catalyzes the formation of malonyl-CoA from acetyl-CoA. It plays an essential role in fatty acid synthesis in prokaryotes and most of plants. The heteromeric ACCase is composed of four subunits: biotin carboxylase (BC), biotin carboxyl carrier protein (BCCP), and α- and β-subunits of carboxyltransferase (α- and β-CT). In this study, we cloned five novel genes encoding the subunits of heteromeric ACCase (one BC, BCCP and β-CT, and two α-CTs) from cotton (Gossypium hirsutum cv. zhongmian 35) by RACE-PCR. The deduced amino acid sequence of these cDNAs shares high similarity with other reported heteromeric ACCase subunits. The phylogenetic analysis indicated that the different subunits of heteromeric ACCase were grouped in a similar pattern. Southern blot analysis revealed the milti-copy patterns of these heteromeric ACCase genes in cotton genome. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR demonstrated that heteromeric ACCase genes were constitutively expressed in all of the cotton tissues, but the transcripts accumulated at a relatively low level in roots. To our knowledge, this is the first report about characterization of the heteromeric ACCase genes in cotton.

The protein encoded by bcl-2 proto-oncogene plays an important role in the mitochondria-mediated apoptotic *** the general role of Bcl-2 is anti-apoptotic, previous work showed that Bcl-2 fragments cleaved by caspasescould promote apoptotic process. We report herein that Bcl-2 protein was cleaved to produce two fragments of around23 kDa in human hepatocarcinoma BEL-7404 cells or in Bcl-2 overexpressing CHO cells induced by cisplatin. Treat-ing cells with the general caspase inhibitor z-VAD-fmk blocked the induced cleavage of Bcl-2. Mutagenesis analysesshowed that Bcl-2 was cleaved by caspases at two adjacent recognition sites in the loop domain (YEWD31↓AGD34↓V),which could be inhibited by caspase-8 and -3 inhibitors, respectively. Overexpression of the carboxyl terminal 23 kDafragments increased the sensitivity of CHO cells to cisplatin-induced apoptosis. These results indicate that Bcl-2 can becleaved into two close fragments by different caspases during cisplatin-induced apoptosis, both of which contribute tothe acceleration of apoptotic process.
